Two 2nd rated teams will be in SB AGAIN. What's that make the Pats, then?!! THIRD staight post-season loss for the Pats, 2nd in a row at home. Can we say end of an era! Jets new kings of the AFC East!

Pal, this is something often called "choking"!!!!...........NE may never win again with Brady...Oh yeah, he's effective when nothing is at stake!!!....but look at his playoff track record!
the guy's doing Giselle.....has 2 kids..........he already has 3 SB's behind him!...he could care less!
This is a good sobering opportunity for you to come to your senses.........and get behind a NY team, its the Jets (the real Afc-E champs) will be playing for AFC title!
|
| New England Patriots, 2010 Posted: 1/16/2011 8:20:18 PM | Ya, sure. Jets will always be a clown team.
Even if it wins SB ( wings wont work, you have to put propellers on pigs), we 'd say a clown won SB. I'm not into clowns.
It's really 'home-team ego'. Pats, Atlanta neither played with hearts, as if 'we are the home team, we don't have to play hard'. Neither was in 'play-off mood'. It s***ks. Now I have to take out my new Pats stickers.

| New England Patriots, 2010 Posted: 1/16/2011 9:35:12 PM | It was the Jets D that put it on Brady, kinda like the Giants D put it on him in the '07 Super Bowl. | |
|
| New England Patriots, 2010 Posted: 1/16/2011 10:47:02 PM | | Or was it the fact that the Pats and Falcons lost because they simply got outplayed. Lets face it the Falcons just got their butts handed to them in that game. There was no excuse about that, the Packers came in there and dominated the Falcons. The Pats just simply got outplayed by the Jets. | |
|
| New England Patriots, 2010 Posted: 1/17/2011 4:05:14 AM | | Ouch, this one hurts way more than the Giants game did. It's up to the Steelers to reestablish the natural order of things, otherwise I can only assume that the End of Days is indeed upon us! | |

Call whatever you like to call, butt handed to them or outplayed, I see it as not playing with the intensity a play-off game should be played with. Both Falcons and Pats know the team on the road give everything they have in a play-off game. Only home team that played to win was Steelers, they won even though they fell behind because of some unfortunate calls. After 07, Billechick/Brady should have been prepared for this. I'm pi**d like never before. I'm glad Pats lost now, a loss in SB would be harder. Brady is becoming Manning, can't win playoff games.
Jets coach is a clown, players are clown. They are America's Clown Team. or America's Fetish Team.
I see a Steelers-Green Bay SB.

| New England Patriots, 2010 Posted: 1/18/2011 6:18:56 AM | Psst, this is the New England Patriots thread. Pass it on!
Since I'm here, I think the 2011 MVP trophy should go in the back row of the mantle, behind the two pieces of Super Bowl MVP hardware. I know that for most guys that puppy gets a glass case and spotlight, but it was a down year for Tom Terrific. What do you think?

| New England Patriots, 2010 Posted: 1/18/2011 8:16:48 AM | | Funny..... Maybe in about ten years i can say the same about Sanchez. Good game and see you next year. At least twice. | |

You just might, Mr Sanchez is slowly shaping up as quite the money performer! Definitely playing within himself right now, not trying to do too much. But that arm does look rock solid and he'll only get better with time.

York man destroys TV after Patriots loss The Herald YORK -- A 22-year-old York man who was rooting for the New England Patriots destroyed a television Sunday after the Patriots lost in the NFL playoffs, police reports show.
Another man called York County Sheriff's Office after the 22-year-old damaged his TV and then left.
The suspect told a deputy that "he was upset that New England lost the game," according to a Sheriff’s Office report.
No, it was not ME. This happened in SC. No one likes acts against nature. Any one keeping records of how many TVs are smashed in MA?

| New England Patriots, 2010 Posted: 1/22/2011 7:12:21 AM | I'm not sure what plans the Patriots are going to do this off season, but in my opinion I strongly believe they need a RB and DE. We can kiss Sammy Morris and Fred Taylor good bye since they have never been a factor...And maybe Green-Ellis due to free agency. DE G. Warren is also goner too. The Patriots certainly need someone to rush the passer, which they haven't done very well this season...All the draft picks the Patriots have, two are in the 1st round. A good possibility we might see a RB and DE in the 1st round.
I'm not sure if RB Mark Ingram is a good fit, but he's considered to go in the 1st round. I don't see any other team needing a RB in the top 17 picks. Who knows? It's hard to see Belichick picking a RB in the 1st round. For free agency if we don't get a RB in the draft, I can see the Patriots signing Ricky Williams. I think Ricky has plenty of juice left in his tank...Although, I heard he might retire.
Missouri's DE Aldon Smith would be a good fit for the Patriots. This guy can play DE or OLB position and one of the best pure pass rushers in the draft...Again, who knows? Maybe bring back Seymour. I for one really don't like the free agents for this position. I think it would best to get it in the draft.
I know I'm looking ahead, but why not?

I know I'm looking ahead, but why not? I think a lot football fans start to look at where their team needs improvement and what their strengths are as soon as their team is out of the playoff picture. I know I have been keeping an eye on the coaches, news, team transactions of the Giants as soon as they were eliminated from the playoffs. Giants are 19th to pick in the draft, crap we don't even make it to the playoffs and we're ALL THE WAY down at 19th. I don't watch college football so after the SB I know I'll start looking at the mock drafts and top picks, then read up on them, seeing who I want the Giants to pick. LOL not that the Giants ever really listen to me, but it's still fun to do.
|
| New England Patriots, 2010 Posted: 1/22/2011 8:53:09 AM | | don't watch college football? and you actaully take that idiot mel kiper at his word....why he's never played a good game of checkers let alone know talent... | |
|
| New England Patriots, 2010 Posted: 1/22/2011 9:10:59 AM | Well Mrlowe I thought as long as you work for ESPN that means your an expert by default.... No?....... But just in case that's NOT true, I do check out more than just Mel Kipers mock draft analyst reports AND I do like to read some of the stats on the players. I TRY to wait until after the SB to start checking out the "prospects", since my Sundays seem so empty without FB once the season ends it fills my time.
I stay away from college football not because it's not interesting, but being a single mom I have to get SOMETHING done on the weekends during football season. Tying up Saturday AND Sunday would be hard. LOL some has to foodshop, do laundry, yard work.... So since I was brought up in a "Giants" home ( that means my dad taught and drilled my sisters and I that Giants are #1) I stick with the NFL, for the sake of "family tradition".
Go GIANTS!
and since the Giants have no chance this season, I'm going for the Bears. So for 2011 post season.... GO Bears!!!!

Thats probably what they will target early in the draft.
|
| New England Patriots, 2010 Posted: 1/23/2011 4:57:42 PM | I agree Baldy, the Giants need to address their Offensive line is priority, the Giants O-line is aging and has been playing with injuries. Back in 2007/8 our o-line was the best, but we have been deteriorating since the 2009 season. Guys like OHara, Seubert, Diehl, and McKenzie are all in their 30's already, and when you're playing in the trenches, 30's is old. All of them (including Koets) have been plaqued with injury. In fact Giants seemed to play with a new make shift line every other game this season. "Kuddos" to our O-line coach... for all the changing we had to do on that line all season long (and the most of last season too), they held a damn good line. Eli had lots of time and they opened holes for our RB's. But how long can you run on a make shift line.
Hoping we can get someone to run returns on special teams, special teams was another place we didn't fair well.
We could use some QB depth too as Giants got rid of Bomar so that leaves us with 1 back-up QB.... crap and I hope Giants do something about Eli throwing all those interceptions, you can't throw as many interceptions as Eli has and still keep on winning, what saved us this year was our defense. I'm not sure if it's Eli or the QB coach but the guy needs to be more consistent.
With Smith being on IR depth at WR wouldn't be a bad idea either.

| New England Patriots, 2010 Posted: 2/12/2011 11:26:13 AM | Here's next season for the Patriots....
2011 Home New York Jets Buffalo Bills Miami Dolphins Indianiapolis Colts Dallas Cowboys Kansas City Chiefs New York Giants San Diego Chargers
Away Philadelphia Eagles Pittsburg Steelers New York Jets Washington Redskins Miami Dolphins Oakland Raiders Denver Broncos Buffalo Bills
I'm glad to see that we play the Colts at home...It seems the Patriots always play the them too, but that's how the structure works because the Colts and Patriots won their division. It's also good to see is the Cowboys and the Giants play in Foxboro. The Patriots got themselves a tough schedule for next season...If there is one.

Wishful thinking for you, but isn't that what happened to the Cowboys during mid season? Cowboys knew their fate after week 8.
