| Another Movie Question Posted: 9/1/2007 4:27:56 PM | I like it when someone has different tastes than I do... you experience and learn things you wouldn't ordinarily by keeping within your same old boundries.
The last girl I dated "dragged" me to see a few films I probably never would have gone to on my own... and I loved them.
One of my favorite Murphy's Laws is "When two people in a partnership always agree, one of them is unecessary."

| Another Movie Question Posted: 9/3/2007 11:14:00 AM | I like it when someone has different tastes than I do... you experience and learn things you wouldn't ordinarily by keeping within your same old boundries. Or when someone sees your personality clearly and "makes" you watch one that they know you would just dig, but never stumble upon yourself. I had that happen with "Life is Beautiful", the story of a Dad protecting his kid during the Holocaust....and still remember the great parts today. ....and I thought at the time I was going to have to sit through another "Message in the Bottle" chick flick at the time. | |

| Another Movie Question Posted: 9/3/2007 12:55:06 PM | I'll watch just about anything except movies with sharks or airplane crashes or torture-porn like "Saw". I've never completely recovered from that plane exploding scene in "Final Destination", and ever since "Jaws" (GREAT movie, btw) I swim in the ocean, but I'm always looking for fins. | |

would it be too much to ask that someone sit through all 6 star wars movies in a row with me?
YES (too much to ask, that is)
I couldn't even make it through the first one the first time through.
I would be glued to the screen for all of the Godfather movies in one sitting though

| Another Movie Question Posted: 9/5/2007 4:53:28 AM | | I could be glued to all of the X-men movies. And maybe something scary on Halloween. First The Exorcist, and then Hell Raiser 2, and then Nightmare On Elm Street One. | |

| Another Movie Question Posted: 9/6/2007 1:55:27 AM | | Carnal Knowledge raises some interesting topics: Since when has love been a good reason to have sex with someone; and, Why do some women try to save some guys for marriage, if they are nice guys? It makes it seem that it doesn't pay to be a nice guy, if you want just as much sex as the not so nice guy. | |

| Another Movie Question Posted: 9/7/2007 2:39:38 PM | lol ok i gave you the "dude where's my car" and i think we can agree on that. but "dumb and dumber"? i admit is slapstickish but hardly lowbrow. "jackass" is lowbrow .
jim carey is one of the most versatile and funniest physical comedians of modern time. that particular movie is one of his best. very sharp and edgy. also very silly and inane. but there is a great story line in that movie as it ends up with a suitcase full of ious. of course like most movies you have to suspend disbelief for awhile to appreciate them but thats where the sense of humor comes in.
and of course its an opinion, isnt that what these forums are for?
and i love themonty python library and the mel brooks library too, add woody allen . they are all classics, all laugh out loud funny with lines that will go down in history.
cooky makes a great point about movie taste being an indicator of general compatability though. that was pretty much my point too, she just said it better
star wars? not a trekkie but those were cool movies too, id watch em again. and the godfather series, and the james bond series, even the first 14 rocky movies...but not the last one.

| Another Movie Question Posted: 9/15/2007 1:03:09 AM | Taste in movies don't bother me as long as it doesn't bother her that I'm not going to watch a movie with Barbara Streisand, Olympia Dukakis or Faye Dunoughway in it. She can have her chick flicks and I can have The Dukes of Hazard. | |

Although, I do have to admit to a self administered popcorn surprise watching Miss Piggy, In The Muppets take Manhattan.

The chances of me finding a man who wants to watch "La Cité des Enfants Perdus" with me, is slim and none.

| Another Movie Question Posted: 9/21/2007 12:25:50 PM | | How can any one say that dumb and dumber is an awful movie. If anything, its a classic. ".....yeah I hit her up, she gave me some crap about me not listening to her enough, or something like that, I don't know, I really wasn't paying attention!" Gottat love it. | |
