A simple question is this, lets assume the girl is 17, or 17 and 6 months or even 17 and 11 months. Immediately she turns 18 will your opinion change because If your whole argument is based on then law then once she turns 18 you have no case and will simply need to shut

I was at the mall one night with my mother ( yes i comfortable enought to go shopping with her do to the fact i work their) and i was thinking about my friend who is 23. He said he was dating a 17 year old. I thought it was strange so i asked my mother what she thought. She said "Thats the way it is. Older guys like younger women." A few months later i was talking another girl who is my age. She said the same thing. Thats life people sorry. If someone who is 25 wants to go out with a 17 year old and she thinks that they can handle then thats on her. We dont know these two the author apparently is making the thread about. We dont know what they are like or even if they will engage in sex.
Minor is defind in many different countries and age of consent is also defind in my different states, so the law isnt really accurate. Sorry. Most girls mature faster than others. I know a girl i am hanging out with is 17. She has a job and already has colleges that she wants to go to. Most girls like jumping around all the time dressing up and acting like a tease.
To the author of this thread: Please dont post saying having sex with minors unless you know they are going to got at it but you dont and to be honest its none of your bussiness and you all should not be debating what this girl can and cant do with her sex life with a guy we know knowthing about. I have sons so I have different concerns to that one, but In memory as a young girl, I was much better off to have a dated a 25 yr old at 18, than an another 18 yr old, 18 is not far of 17 , if she is an immature uneducated girl then of course not, and the parents must play a role in all of this.
In real terms the law is to protect very young girls from being taken advantage of by older men, and being forced to stay with men they dont want to be with, in unwilling situations.
And having a crush on a 17 at 25 is very likely men fall love in with beauty and personality and it doesnt Mr 25 a sicko at all, or that he wants to have sex with a minor, it means he lieks this human being and according the law will have to wait, its not illegal to have the crush, it is just illegal to consumate the situation and who know s she may not want to anyway,.........

General notes
If more than one age is given then the law within that country or state varies according to region or circumstances. In particular, some countries have regional laws that may overrule the federal law. Also in some cases the age of consent is lower when partners are of a similar age. There's a difference between just being under 18 and being a pre-adolescent. Yes, they have a lot of sexual desires -- whether they're a boy or a girl. Secondly, it's easier for a hot, older woman (2oish) to convince a young teen boy to have sex. In fact, the 14-16 year old boy would probably say, "You don't have to tell ME twice!"
I agree, there's a difference between male and female, and authoritative advantages on male-to-female, as opposed to female-to-male. But let's make this clear -- female teens have a desire to have sex. Male teens have a desire to have sex. I think it'd be judged on a case-by-case basis, and different rules for different age groups, etc.
Either way, it's not good for a sub 16-18 year old to have sex with someone significantly older. It's not good for an 18-20 year old girl to either. A line has to be drawn, and the severity of it depends on what went down. I think people go WAY too out of control about teens having sex with someone in their 20's. It's bad and should be a definite concern -- but they don't go out of control about innocent Suzy hooking up with a bunch of boys her own age which happens far far more often, and when it's about someone older "Oh, she didn't want it -- she had to be coerced!". Maybe, maybe not. But sorry, Suzy has desires too, just like Timmy's licking his chops over the hot choir teacher -- so all cases aren't as easy as pie ;) | |

Either way kids that age SHOULDNT BE HAVING SEX AT ALL!
I think back to all those mistakes I made as a youth, that shit damaged me.
THERE IS TOO MUCH TO BE WORRIED ABOUT PREPARING FOR AT THAT AGE TO BE SCREWING. IT takes your mind off the thing you NEED to be focused on...
Not to manage it stifles intellectual growth, and maturity.
It also give kids a false sense of maturity. E.G I am not an adult, but I do as adult do, so I must be. So they g about making adult descisions in other aspects of their lives.
Get a nasty "I am not that young" complex.
And screw up their lives.
The only people who AGREE with it being ok to screw at that age, are pervs, and people who did it them selves..
And those arent typically people who are gaingully employeed...or own homes. | |

Oh man, that's another can of worms entirely. I'm no expert but I think there are a heap of people who had sex between the ages of 16 and 20 who incurred no ill-effects, especially with regards to their intellectual growth and home ownership.
