I drink Naive alot when im overseas, in fact in Africa, Middle East or Asia its all i will drink, and theres some very good reasons for it.

At the moment work has installed some filter machines, so i top up my bottles from them, its free and has a certain taste to it.

That said if im thirsty i will drink from the tap, if im up at height then i love drinking water from mountain streams, the taste is just so pure and untouched and i love that lime coloured snow they put on at the ski resorts, though i cant understand why its always round the back of a tree or building, you would think they would have it out in the open a bit more.

I HATE bottled water, i think it tasted plasticy and thoroughly nasty!
Our tap water is filtered then filtered again and again and so on, its clean! I much prefer the taste of tap water to nasty old bottled water anyway.
Yuk.
Proper mineral water isnt even filtered properly at all so chances are you are drinking some wee that some jester put into the water for a "laugh".

Nothing wrong with tap water where i live infact its rather nice..Do i buy bottled water no unless abroad and avised to do so in certain countries.

Bottled water biggest con trick since religion, we'll have fooking designer bars next like in the great US of A where you go in to pay for designer air/oxygen. Nutters is all i can say..

Edit:...Nutters in Alderly Edge as well then...:>)

I drink tap water most of the time. I do buy bottled water if i'm out and about and i've forgotten to take my own. Only because i may get frowned upon drinking brandy and coke at 10am.

living in Birmingham, i love the tap water or council pop as we use to call it. Birmingahm water comes form Elan Valley in mid-Wales by Severn Trent. this is considered the best water in the UK.

so drinking tap water, not a problem!

When I had money I used to filter it, but nowadays it comes straight out of the tap. I have to say the flavour of the water where I live is fine, so there really is not excuse. I have tasted water that was not so nice though and if I lived in those areas probably wouldn't drink it straight, but still would not resort to bottled water unless out and about and not able to make use of a tap.

I drink about 8 litres of water per day, I've been drinking that much water since I was 20, the reason why I suddenly started was because when I was 20 I wasn't eating healthily and thus decided to change my lifestyle.

Make yourself a real man by drinking loads of water, you too will be able to piss further, faster, higher and for longer!

Drinking water at every opportunity can cause serious problems, such as hyponatraemia or water intoxication. As the water content of the blood increases, the salt content is diluted. Consequently the amount of salt available to body tissues decreases, which can lead to problems with brain, heart and muscle function.

Initial symptoms of over-hydration include dizziness, nausea, apathy and confusion. However these symptoms are also associated with dehydration - so it's important to be aware of how much you are drinking.

Is there cause for alarm? The British Dietetic Association guidelines state that an average adult should consume 2.5 litres of water per day. This intake needs to be increased during periods of hot weather or during and after periods of physical activity.

I thought it was 8 glasses!

I drink tapwater - but as there is so much chlorine and calcium in my home tapwater it goes through a filter jug first. Coffee made with unfiltered water tastes like drinking TCP!

I try to drink half my intake at work where we have free water coolers, it doesn't have the chlorine and does have the calcium, I believe the calcium intake is important for heart health.

Annie is correct as humans cannot drink loads of water, hence the reason why you people spewing up after 10 pints on a sat night. I belive there is a connection with overloading with water and the old "e's"?

Think we have actual water from redditch bore holes which is top class as dummy brummies dont like it!

Have you ever tried drinking glass after glass after glass of water straight down, one after another, for a bet. Get a few of you to do it. The winner is the one who drinks the most without puking jet streams of water.

My record was 15 but Billy Forester did 17!!!!

bottled tap water for me too!

Yeah I drink tap water after its been filtered, but of course the thing with the tap water in England is it is SAFE to drink it straight from the tap, unlike most everywhere else in the world :)
Yeah another reason Britain earnt the title Great!

I drink bottled water now and again when Im out and about and want a drink of water.

Bottled water is hugely environmentally unfriendly. The energy and resources required to make the bottles, bottle it and transport it is disproportionate to any benefits. The waste it creates (bottles) and the energy / resources required to dispose of those bottles is shameful.

I try and avoid buying bottled water now because of the above. If you live somewhere where the water tastes truly disgusting (e.g. Reading, Berkshire) a filter jug will get rid of the horrid taste.

With around 15 million plastic water bottles being thrown away every day in the UK, and only a few percent of them being recycled, its no wonder that there is a backlash against bottled water.

Did you know that the plastic bottles leach chemicals into the water? That's why there's a 'sell by' date on the bottle. Leave the water in the bottle for too long and it can become pretty nasty indeed!

Did you know that it takes enough oil to one third fill the bottle just to make the bottle? 15 million bottles a day (a mixture of 1 litre and 0.5 litre) uses around 3 million litres of oil a day to make the bottles. 3 million litres! That's enough to keep around 2,000 cars on the road for a year!

Leeds University have just banned the sale of bottled water on all of their campuses.

The Australian town of Bundanoon in New South Wales, has become 'bottled water free' after voting to ban the sales of bottled water throughout the town.

And, as if we didn't already know it, bottled water is no better than tap water in 90% of cases!

My tap water tastes disgusting I defy anyone to be able to drink it, I buy bottled water from iceland or lidls (yes I'm that cheap) and drink a couple of bottles (1.5 litre bottles) a day as because of my illness I get dehydrated quickly.

I drink water based on the taste. On the wirral the water is lovely! In other places i have used britta water filters and bought water in some situations. At work unfortunatly the water isn't so nice (taken from a well which is quite metalic in taste) so I do purchase water when I forget to bring in my own!

I dont drink enough water apart from what I have in coffee and tea but when Im really thirsty and there isnt anything else I'll drink it. Never drink bottled water. I had a friend who had kidney stones and his doctor told him to drink bottled.

Same as Cosmopolitan. Only drink bottled water at work. Always drink tap water, it tastes fine to me and never had a problem. We all drink it with no ill effects. Although my sister has developed a mighty fine beard. But Im sure its just coincidence. I did love that Peckham spring water you could get a few years ago. Wonder what happened to it?
