Yes, always important to get as much as you can, 2.5l is recommended.
When we are on the shop floor the heat is so high even before we start work it was important to replace the fluids you lose, we did a whole workshop at work about the importance of healthy living.

do you drink tap water?
Only when I've run out of wine
I drink tap water , bottled water (flat and fizzy and/or flavoured) and filtered water. It depends where I am and what is available. I have no prejudices when it comes to water. I will drink tap water in some foreign countries but not in others, but I call that common sense

I also avoided eating salad which was washed in the water I was trying to avoid. Also there's this to consider "The chemical--which is widely used in products such as reusable water bottles, food can linings, water pipes and dental sealants--has been shown to affect reproduction and brain development in animal studies. "There is a large body of scientific evidence demonstrating the harmful effects of very small amounts of BPA in laboratory and animal studies, but little clinical evidence related to humans," explains Belcher. "There is a very strong suspicion in the scientific community, however, that this chemical has harmful effects on humans."

| do you drink tap water? Posted: 8/12/2009 3:22:39 PM | Tap water, although I do have a filter because I live in a hard water area.
UK water is generally of a very high standard. The bottle water companies are conning people into thinking that bottled is best.
The 2 litre rule is a bit misleading. You need about 1 litre (according to the NIH in the US) for normal kidney function. However humans are very good at extracting fluid from everything we consume not just plain water.
Assuming that you're not on a dry roasted peanut diet then you get a lot of water from normal foods.
I suspect the bottle water companies have help push this myth....

We have hard water here which ruins kettles and washing machines etc but make a fab cup of tea. We had two or three years when it smelled and tasted so bleachy I only drank bottled water but it is ok now so drink tap water. I drink water out of choice when I am thirsty and also when I am driving. Diet Coke is so boring and not very good for you. My favourite bottled water is unmistakeable to me, the others just taste very similar.
Dry White Wine well chilled is my favourite tipple ;)

| do you drink tap water? Posted: 8/13/2009 2:43:17 PM | I mostly drink tap water (tastes lovely up here).
However, like 7rainbows I am concerned about them putting flouride into our water when i didn't ask for it. If I wanted more flouride I would go buy it, 'specially when swallowing the stuff does nothing to prevent cavities.
Unfortunately the filters are quite expensive. Don't know if you can advise me 7rainbows?
