| Annoying Advertisements Posted: 7/27/2008 7:28:16 PM | | I have a problem with the same Dell ad. I ended up just leaving the site now whenever it comes on. Makes me not even want to bother with the site until this ad is gone. So irritating. | |

| Annoying Advertisements Posted: 7/27/2008 7:34:10 PM | | This might not be the place to put this, but I noticed something tonight. Why can't we type m y s p a c e, but there is a Plentyoffish ad on my front page of my m y s p a c e? Not that I really care, just curious. | |

| Report Here any Annoying or Offensive Advertisements (NOT Profiles) Posted: 8/2/2008 8:28:17 PM | Back on pof after time off and now there is a video/ad with a big photo of a woman right next to my or anyone else's profile photo. It is ugly and distracting from the profile. Does it have to sit right there next to our main picture when you open a profile? Hope not. Is there a way to stop it or get rid of it? Thank you. | |

| Report Here any Annoying or Offensive Advertisements (NOT Profiles) Posted: 11/24/2008 7:30:36 PM | doubleclick.net ads have to go. I block them through my hosts file, so I never actually see them anyway (advice on how to do this available upon request), but they always end up in my history, so hitting the back button sometimes requires several hits. Yes, I also know how to skip back more than one page, but that's not the point. They are not standards compliant, and we shouldn't be forced to work around their crappy code.
doubleclick.net is a scourge on the 'net. If you insist on using them, find a way to fix their broken embed code.

| Report Here any Annoying or Offensive (Ads) Advertisements (NOT Profiles) Posted: 8/1/2009 10:24:45 AM | I know the site owners need to make some money to pay the bills but these FUBAR and retarded teeth advertisements are getting out of hand.
Do people actually click on them anyway?
Between the advertisements on POF and My_Space I feel like I need to visit a Dentist that is a drunk 16 year old.

| Report Here any Annoying or Offensive (Ads) Advertisements (NOT Profiles) Posted: 8/14/2009 7:21:20 PM | I believe the majority of annoying ads are flash based. Badly written flash can compromise users with slow PC's. I consider ads with sound offensive and I barely tolerate video clips in ads.
Admin should check to see if he can disable flash ads in the AdSense control panel.

Admin should check to see if he can disable flash ads in the AdSense control panel. Users can look after this concern on their own by using Firefox and installing some of the free add-on for Firefox.
"Adblock Plus" which blocks display of images (jpg, gif, etc)
"Flashblock" blocks Flash content from playing automatically. When you visit a webpage with Flash content you will see a "PLAY" button (right-pointing triangle). You will have the choice to play it or ignore it.

| Report Here any Annoying or Offensive (Ads) Advertisements (NOT Profiles) Posted: 8/15/2009 10:24:08 AM | I find the advert for Dazzlewhite on the 'Viewed me ' page very annoying. This company when googled, is the subject of a major scam and thousands of people have been conned out of alot of money. I know it is these adverts that help make this site free, but I do feel POF should check out these companies more carefully before taking on their adverts. | |
