| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 5/6/2007 10:54:15 PM | naaaa, not these days.
but I used to long long long ago. not all the time, but often enough and those dreams were THE MOST HAUNTING dreams I've ever had. In fact in the dreams I often never even "saw" him. I would be on the other side of a wall and only hear him moving around, or I would be driving around his super-small town and just know he was nearby. I woke with such incredible sadness that penetrated my soul for a week or more. Once in a blue moon I still dream of him....very rarely....but now the sadness is gone. Thank god. It's jsut like a surprise visit from an old friend, a pleasant visit.
get on with your life. dreams will stop/change.

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 5/7/2007 7:51:08 AM | | Its weired when you have conquered every other obstacle of getting over the ex but the dreams and subconscious still remain. Some people make more of an impression on us than we ever imagine, be it good or bad. | |

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 5/7/2007 8:48:31 AM | | Yes - 13 yrs later and I still have dreams about my ex husband from time to time. They're either of 2 themes: I find out he's not changed and is still cheating/sneaking around - or - he's trying to show me he's changed. It's weird. Would prefer he stay out of my dreams but don't seem to have any control over it. | |

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 3/25/2009 11:33:30 AM | | yea, some of them. My last but one ex is in my dreams all the time, but he's one of my best friends now, so I see him all the time. Although my dreams are never, normal, everyday things. Last one he was in, I was in the woods with my then boyfriend, pointing out all the bits of play apparatus that was there when I was a kid. Then there was this big white sheet and my ex was there, just there. And then a lot of complicated stuff happened with my mum losing a ruby in my bedroom and me having to look for it because she wanted to stick it on her purse, but when I found it; it just looked like a verrry small bit of red candle wax. | |

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 3/25/2009 2:58:50 PM | | yeah NIGHTMARES! lol I even had them when we were still married. The last dream I had was last week. I dreamt he gave me too cardboard little boxes of wooden matches. (Like the ones Camel has out now). What the hell does THAT mean? Set yourself on fire? lol I don't know. | |

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 9/10/2009 4:30:27 PM | For me it's not true about time stopping dreams. As I get older, from having no dreams for years about past serious LTRs where children were born to it- I find dreams now quite persistent -and I'm not depressed and have accepted the past as much as possible. There's no doubt in my mind that the dreams are fundamentally quite healthy- if an unwelcome intrusion. | |

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 9/10/2009 5:07:48 PM | every night! I wish i didn't, but I've only been divorced about 6 months after a 25 yr. relationship. It varies. Sometimes it's the sex and sometimes it is just things we did together. Alot of times it's brought on by something that happened that day that was too familiar. I know I need to get over this, but it's easier said than done. | |

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 9/10/2009 5:35:19 PM | Yes, I have had dreams of my ex, but he is still a big part of my life because of our daughters, my dreams are not by any means sexual in natures nor are they nightmares......and you know what dreaming about him really does not bug me. | |

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 9/10/2009 5:37:37 PM | I was dating a girl I fell in love with mid 90's and she loved me. She started to sabotage the relationship a little when she thought I wanted kids and she did not. Rather then talk to me she drifted away. She did not want to get married too soon and thought I was getting too intence. Well she left me and I could not get over it. I left her letters, showed up at her work did all the stuff you should not do. She accused me of stalking and I backed off. She moved with a guy to oregon when he asked her to come even though she was not interested in him but he was her. She got trapped and married him had two kids. But never forgot me.
I could not stop having dreams about her. Ten years later I'd still go through spells of having gut wrenching dreams that she was looking for me but could not find me. I moved. In 2004 after having a few more dreams after not having them for a while I sent a CD to her parents house of my old band. We met while I was playing clubs. Her parents sent it to her and a few days later she posted on our guest book. I then had her email. I waited a week and had a friend approch her. She mailed me. I had a lot og guilt and issues. I told her I was sorry for some of the minor stuff. She told me to move on and that I deserved to be happy. She also told me about where she went and all that happened during the years.
I met a girl and one day I wrote her months later to tell her I was ok now. I had met someone special. She did not answer. Still months later she wrote and a lot of her issues and guilt gushed out. SHe was not happey in her marriage and wanted to come back into my life. It was 13 years later but I was involved. I listend to her and then made a call. I stayed with my new girl. She was relived. We later got engaged. Recently she broke it off with me after we moved in together. I am still dealing with a crushed heart.
But the dreams. As it turned out I was having dreams about my ex who was having dreams about me. She told me she'd have a dream about me and how happy we were and wake up and feel empty and void. She was guilty over the way she left me and felt scik to her stomache. She told me it was her punishment for doing what she did.
We both said our apologies for many things and she is now happy again with her husband. I called her up to tell her I was single as I told her she'd be the first to know.
It was not meant to be I suppose. But my dreams were spot on about what she was feeling. It's kinda freaky. I saved our emails.

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 9/11/2009 12:05:00 AM | | Almost 3 years now me and my first love split up. For a long time I'd dream of her now and then and it would really upset me. To this day I'll dream of her, every 2-3 months. It doesn't bother me anymore of course, it's actually nice to 'see' her again, hehe. | |

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 9/11/2009 3:58:48 AM | I have dreams about my ex. I usually wake up and shrug it off. My dreams are incredibly vivid lately, so they feel very real. At times I miss him, others I'm pissed off, and the rest of the time I'm indifferent.. | |
|
| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 9/11/2009 5:02:26 AM | | Nearly a year later after the break up, despite finding someone much better than her, yes... Yes I still do. It's a curse. | |
|
| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 9/11/2009 6:38:20 AM | | it is good to know that im not going mad. I was with my ex husband since I was 16, and split when I was 32, 3 kids later. He cheated more than once but again he takes up every bit of memory I hold dear. I go to bed at night and some nights dream about him, some are sex dreams, others are just us being together, we split up 19 months ago so why do I still do this. | |

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 9/11/2009 7:59:22 AM | It must've been a REALLY deep bond. It's perfectly normal to grieve for the loss of something you loved. There was a whole era of life there.
I keep saying this to everybody: Watch a lot of movies. Even sappy romantic comedies. There is a lot of edgy truth in them, and there'll be something in there in the characters that is relevant to your own situation.
You don't want to TUNE OUT these feelings, but face them head-on. That's the only way you'll stop feeling them and obsessing about them. Movies are a great place to project obsessive feelings into fictitious characters.
Also, watch TV dramas like Medium. Patricia Arquette's clarovoyant character (who "sees" clues to crimes in her dreams) has a deep relationship with her husband, that just might be satisfying for you to watch and become involved in.

| DO YOU DREAM ABOUT YOUR EX? Posted: 9/11/2009 2:01:04 PM | I left my ex husband thirty years ago. I still have dreams about him. He died 14 years ago. Dreams are an expression of your unconscious. All the parts of the dream are about you. Your ex symbolizes something about yourself. Try free associating about her and see what you come up with. Then think about her characteristics and which of those you can own for yourself. You may be surprised at the results.
