here is a bit of a slant on this thread, a what age is it acceptable to enjoy being a redhead and to publicly fancy a redhead.
My first "Big Red" was 16 when I hooked up with her. She never had an issue being a redhead, and never worried about what others thought about it.
Then again, she would thump you out if you did say something bad about it...lmao.

| Red heads... Posted: 9/9/2008 1:18:09 AM | I love a pretty red head. They are now incredibly rare however. Only a tiny fraction of a percent of the planet consists of redhead people. The gene is also recessive and will be bred out of existence very shortly.
I love wavy red hair, fair freckled skin, GREEN EYES...*drools.* I dated one for awhile, and yes she turned out to be a two timing psycho.

| Red heads... Posted: 9/9/2008 5:55:23 AM | one of the WORST drawbacks about being a redhead was in gym class and shower time...jesus did i feel like a freak in 9th grade with redhair everywhere... i was too embarrassed to ask my parents if it would EVER change to black.
....still waiting....

| Red heads... Posted: 9/9/2008 8:41:44 AM | What I think is funny is that my 12 year old daughter had used some of the red color on her hair this summer as well as my 16 year old son. My son's hair was red, like stop sign red and because my daughter just used it over her brown, it looked burgundy or a dark auburn. She has the red hair complexion, very fair with freckles. Before she started school it had grown out an inch and had faded, we checked the permanent colors and they say all this stuff about conditioning, so I agreed to let her do it. My daughter now looks like she has burgundy, again like a dark auburn color. She loves it. The color reminds me of the color of my hair when I was younger.
I don't think that kids have the same problems with different hair colors as they once did. Of course I never had problems with my hair color. It may be growing up in a tall family that stood out any way that the addition of red haired bro and sis and my case auburn hair, it was just part of us. My sister was in Miss Teen USA when she was like 14.
I do agree about the shower embarrassment.. Now that did make me uncomfortable. The kids don't have to take swimming or shower together at my school district now, so I guess they have one less embarrassing thing to worry about.

| Red heads... Posted: 9/9/2008 9:01:06 AM | | Not all women with wavy red hair, fair freckled skin and green eyes are two timing psycho's. We just like some men to believe that we are. | |

Good to know. What I want to know is... can I one: extra long red hair, extra psycho, hold the 'two timing'? (My personal safety isn't really something I worry about... what's the worst that could happen, I die happy?)

| Red heads... Posted: 9/9/2008 9:30:38 AM | | Be careful what you wish for! LOL | |

| Red heads... Posted: 9/9/2008 9:32:47 AM | Again, I repeat: what's the worst that could happen?
(Baldy, I specified a woman. Not a frankenchick. So, colorfully revolting as your answer was...)

Again, I repeat: what's the worst that could happen? After you are done she could say "thanks .. thats the best sex I have had since the sex change operation"

| Red heads... Posted: 9/9/2008 1:53:03 PM | Always had a major thing for redheads. I think it is because they are rare. Depending on the shade of red can make them look absolutely adorable or super-sexy vixens.
Of course, there's always the "connect the dots" game that is a lot of fun, too!

LMFAO.
Well, sadly enough, though we got close enough twice to go that far, it never did happen
But you're probably right that the make-up sex woulda been worth it

| Red heads... Posted: 9/9/2008 9:10:12 PM | | What a great thread. I'm a natural redhead. When I was a kid, I wanted nothing more than to be blonde. I didn't like standing out in a crowd. Now that I'm older (and hopefully, wiser), I capitalize on my uniqueness. Reddish hair, green eyes, and freckles are a scarce enough combination as to be "exotic," in a sense. I've noticed that in some parts of the country - especially where there is a heavy Latino or Italian population, for example, I get lots of attention when I walk into a restaurant. I guess it's because I don't look like everyone else. | |

| Red heads... Posted: 9/9/2008 9:46:50 PM | I stumbled upon this post and had to repy!
Being a redhead all my life..I too was tormented in school...never really went out on dates much...I never really got noticed until into my 20's..then it hit..everywhere I went people would kinda stare..some would comment on my hair, eyes and complection..but most would just look..it kinda gave me a complex for a while..what are they staring at? hahahaha...
And yes, we redheads are very passionate!! I'm the only red head in my immediate family! My siblings were all brunettes..My oldest sister's husband always loved my red hair and had her dye her hair red on many occasions..weird huh?

| Red heads... Posted: 9/9/2008 10:23:07 PM | | bk0069, sorry I can't answer your question. You need to ask a green eyed fair skinned freckled wavy haired redhead who is a 2 timing pyscho LOL. | |

| Red heads... Posted: 9/10/2008 2:11:53 PM | I think we have Sarah Ferguson to thank for redheads becoming cool...the tide of public opinion seemed to turn when she came on the scene. Thank God, the tide never turned back | |
|
| Red heads... Posted: 9/10/2008 4:53:12 PM | Who the heck is Sarah Ferguson??
I got hot on redheads because of Maureen O'Hara of "McClintock" & "A Quiet Man" fame...she also was in John Candy's last movie as his mother...and she was STILL a hottie at 65!!! The lasting beauty of redheads is to be cultivated and honored!!
"McClintock" being the first western that was also actually a cute commentary on BDsM Coal shovel spanking Indeed!! then again...come to think of it...so was "A Queit Man"...she was quite the little submissive...hrmmm...
