The best way I know to continue to make sex better and better, is to maintain a healthy life style, eat right, stay in shape, work out, be active, and last but not least.......practice, practice, practice........

Socially forced celibacy sucks but I have a far better understanding of the western social structure and media driven, surface only idealism that pervades throughout OUR society. If I was between 20 and 30 years old, I wouldn't have any problem getting laid. As a responsible adult and a single parent over 40, my opportunities are next to zero.
Youth, beauty and wealth are the class determining factors in Western society. Lack one or more of those characteristics and you are suddenly seen as a "lepper" who is not "cool" or worthwhile to be associated with. Even women over 30 tend to prefer younger men. Some may disagree with my perspective, but it is MY experience which I relate here, not yours. | |

With age comes a maturity and a wisdom about sexuality. You have the confidence of not caring what you look like in certain positions, the noises that may escape with no control you are in it for the pure carnal pleasure of it. You realize that men are just simple creatures ( I say that with the utmost love for men)and don't really care about your little bit of cellulite, your tummy or what you look like with no makeup on they are really into the moment of pleasure. I personally would not thank you to be in my 20's again I will take 40's any day of the week. | |

I would def say that sex after thirty has been a hell of a lot better. With experience comes wisdom (hopefully). There are times, especially after being with someone for a while that just a smile, a look or a touch would say things that would take hours when younger.
I guess the best thing about being old and sex is actually taking your time with things. It's not about using all the condoms in the box in one weekend.
I'm gonan shut up before I say something inappropriate and pervy.
But yeah knowing yourself, your likes and having a few more notches in your belt makes sex a lot better. | |

I'm not sure that has anything to do with me personally, but perhaps more to do with the fact that women tend to be a lot more sexually mature post 30, with a greater awareness of their bodies, increased sex drive (because of that ticking clock!), less inhibitions and more openness to experimentation.

Posted: 1/26/2008 11:21:20 AM | A friend told me that it got better after 30, and I doubted her word......then I got a divorce, turned 29, and discovered the multiple orgasm.....now I am 33, and sex is a glorious, wonderful thing.
When I was younger, sex was what I did to keep my man happy, or because I was really drunk, or really bored. Now, if I choose to have sex, it is because I wanna, and I enjoy it much, much more. Also, I tend to get that urge much more often now....used to be, I could subsist quite hapily getting it only once every other week or so-while in a decent relationship......now, if I am in a relationship, and everything is going smoothly, I am not happy unless I am getting it 4-8 times a week.
I don't know if it is biological, physical, emotional, or psychological, but yeah :D sex is WAY better after 30. | |

Posted: 2/2/2008 9:11:51 PM | like others who have replied, I was skeptical of the claims that a woman peaks in her late 30s/40s....but now I would have to agree that this is true, at least for me. I think its because as we get older we accept ourselves, appreciate everything more, and just recognize the truly important things/moments/issues much more readily as we gain more experience on the earth.
