Naturally this is eye candy. Sometimes I like to spoil my eyes. It doesn't mean I am going to date him, but I can still look. If his interests match mine (or at least half of them) maybe a date with the man on the screen would be possible, but that would not stop me from looking.

| pics of guys with thier shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/13/2007 9:11:58 AM | I just hate the one's with no head. If you're gonna show us your chest.. show us yer damned face & head too. Careful what you ask for El....perhaps some of em are better headless in their pics, and know this. A well cared for physique doesn't always guarantee a cute face, in men or women...
I appreciate a man who takes care of his body, and respect a man with muscles. The reason I say this is because I spent 6 days a week in the gym myself, so I know the dedication and hard work it takes to develop a defined body.
I am not going to lie, I am very attracted to that look, however, if his profile is not intelligent, if he is clearly full of conceit, or if it is obvious he is lookinf "for a good time", then that is a turn off. That's pretty much it for me in a nutshell...I agree with all of this.

| pics of guys with thier shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/13/2007 9:36:13 AM | When I see a guy like that...and he is hot of course ...I am going to look and read their profile. Always curious and hey I am human. However I know he is usually the one looking for the booty call, so I keep stepping. Fun to look at though | |

| pics of guys with thier shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/13/2007 10:07:07 PM | A full out shirtless muscle picture = guy who's full of himself and probably thinks he can get whatever woman / women he wants.
Not always of course but that's the idea you put across. I'd never trust a guy like that because I'd think he's always trying to show himself off to other girls.
The better look is the guy with a subtle show of his build. Sleeveless top? A flattering form fitting top? Maybe half unbuttoned? It's better to be casual about it than up front.

| pics of guys with thier shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/13/2007 10:07:18 PM | However I know he is usually the one looking for the booty call,
and this is because you have contacted /dated THEM ALL ?
I'd never trust a guy like that because I'd think he's always trying to show himself off to other girls.
This outlook i would venture to say stems more from an inner insecurity about yourself

| pics of guys with thier shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/13/2007 10:55:56 PM | | ^^^^^Yahh Roo's profile has shirtless pics, but to me it's a matter of his showing us something that he considers important. Fitness. You can't judge a book by its cover. Y.R. has a great brain. Not just a buff guy. Some guys have pics that are blatently trying their best to look all hot and bothered. The guy taking his own pic bare chested with the towel draped around his waist. The guy flexing his muscles and STILL taking his own pic in the bathroom mirror. Gimme a break. Then you read the profile, and you know without a doubt what you're in for. | |

They way I see it, he's obviously worked pretty hard at getting into that kind of shape. He's not posing like a cheesy porn star and he's demonstrating dedication, hardwork and focus.
This is not flattery - I'm just supporting your choice to pose topless. If all women would follow suit, and send me photos, I would sleep better at night.

| pics of guys with thier shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/13/2007 11:54:22 PM | some women would be attracted to the muscular guy, some for the guy standing next to the motorcycle, and some if the guy were on a sailboat. As someone that used to compete years ago in bodybuilding competions and bench press competitions, I would definitely click on the pix of the male with the chest. BUT, it also depends on how he presents himself in that picture, and what he had to say in his writeup.
As the saying goes: You can't judge a book by its cover, but the cover has a lot to do with selling the book. If you want to find me in the library, I'll be in the health and fitness section.

| pics of guys with thier shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/14/2007 2:06:41 AM | | Well it is nice to look at thats for sure I am not gonna lie, it means he knows how to take care of him self. Most of the guys who post pic's like that are probably way to into them selves and spend more time looking in the merror & at the gym then having a life. why do guys sell them selfs like that I don't get it, I mean he could have a shirt on and look just as sexy. I think it would attract the wrong kind of people | |

| pics of guys with thier shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/14/2007 2:13:12 AM | Interesting that when I have pictures of myself that are fully clothed I recived no correspondence from any women at all
soon as the shirt comes off I get flooded with email - granted the majority of women that then contact me are 45 + and past thier prime looking for a toy boy I believe -- but they didnt email me at all fully clothed
so in my books yep it does attract the wrong types

| pics of guys with their shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/14/2007 2:28:15 AM | people should like you for you and not your body end of story.
In a perfect world - and we don't have one - yes this should be the case as many people would like to attest too
I alas will subscribe to the theory that physically attraction is the first thing we experience and in a primordial way men that are in shape will always attract attention from women as women can not deny the genetic encoding in them to at least admire if not seek or desire a male that is a very healthy specimen that would father healthy strong children able to better survive
I wont rehash this for the millionth time in full as you will all understand - but not all accept that it is a remnant of out pre historic evolutionary past

| pics of guys with their shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/14/2007 3:46:39 AM | I think some of you are crazy.
Too much negativity for showing off something you are proud of. I bet some of you are REALLY proud to have your kids. What jerk couldn't like kids? A normal person could dislike people who thoroughly enjoy going to the gym though...because those people easily fit into this specific negative category that no one in their right mind would want to assoicate themselves with.
Right on. | |

"Too much negativity for showing off something you are proud of. I bet some of you are REALLY proud to have your kids"
Are you saying that being proud of your children is the same as being proud of your muscles? lol
Just because your proud of something doesnt mean to have to shove it into people's faces..... Does it?
Its great that you take care of yourself and that you feel good, fit and healthy.... but you should be doing that for you.... Not to use it to get the attention of other people by showing it off .
If you see what I see on the womens "my matches" screen, you'd see an absolute shed-load of men with no shirts on, showing off their physics.... Good for them Id say but after a while..... it gets a bit boring.....
I think its more likely the case that you love your physic more than other people...(except you think its the other way around)....
Not always the case... x

| pics of guys with thier shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/14/2007 1:49:09 PM | | I find there aren't too many guys out with a body good enough to show off in my age group. I crack up at the self portrait head and shoulder shots in the mirror so I say......keep 'em on guys. | |

| pics of guys with thier shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/22/2007 5:30:07 AM | I'll have to side with Trailer Trash on this one.I prefer to talk to a woman on here with her cloths on and not showing a lot of her body to the public,, but I'm a male and as you women know.. most guys are a cross breed between a dog and a pig. So after I've talked to someone a while I'm just as curious as the next guy is.. I wana see the goods. And if I like the person and they like me I'll show them my build, but little smokie is a shy one and never comes out. I removed all my pictures from the public's eye's months and months ago and the emails has slowed to a more reasonable rate. The number of emails went down. But the quality of the people emailing me went up. I prefer my personality attract a woman. Female's are not as visual as the Male's are. A Male can fall in love with a woman simply by her beauty alone. Is it love? Or is it Lust? What is more powerful of an emotion between "love" and "lust"? It's as thin line. A beautiful woman can fall in love with a guys personality.I see good looking women with homely guys all the time.. I hardly ever see a good looking guy with a homely woman. | |

| pics of guys with thier shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/22/2007 7:08:58 AM | | I find topless man pictures to be a huge turnoff. I would never initiate a conversation with a guy who had such pictures in his profile. At the risk of making a gross generalization, it's been my experience that the written portions of such profiles are not very interesting. | |

I find names such as princess to be a huge turnoff. I would never initiate a conversation with a woman who had such a name in her profile. At the risk of making a gross generalisation, its been my experience that the women with such names in profiles have entitlement syndrome and believe that because they have a vagina they deserve everything for nothing

| pics of guys with their shirts off & muscles Posted: 9/23/2007 1:34:27 PM | Well I don't jump to conclusions but I would lying if some things didn't pop in my head like...
The guy is probably more into his apppearance than I am. I'm thinking you get to look forward to lots of superficial discussions if he's not distracted by the mirror. I'd also wonder if he was a high maintenance guy who required a lot of ego stroking about his appearance.
