Careful what you ask for El....perhaps some of em are better headless in their pics, and know this. A well cared for physique doesn't always guarantee a cute face, in men or women...
I appreciate a man who takes care of his body, and respect a man with muscles. The reason I say this is because I spent 6 days a week in the gym myself, so I know the dedication and hard work it takes to develop a defined body.
I am not going to lie, I am very attracted to that look, however, if his profile is not intelligent, if he is clearly full of conceit, or if it is obvious he is lookinf "for a good time", then that is a turn off.
That's pretty much it for me in a nutshell...I agree with all of this. | |

Not always of course but that's the idea you put across. I'd never trust a guy like that because I'd think he's always trying to show himself off to other girls.
The better look is the guy with a subtle show of his build. Sleeveless top? A flattering form fitting top? Maybe half unbuttoned? It's better to be casual about it than up front. | |

You can't judge a book by its cover. Y.R. has a great brain. Not just a buff guy. Some guys have pics that are blatently trying their best to look all hot and bothered. The guy taking his own pic bare chested with the towel draped around his waist. The guy flexing his muscles and STILL taking his own pic in the bathroom mirror. Gimme a break. Then you read the profile, and you know without a doubt what you're in for. | |

As someone that used to compete years ago in bodybuilding competions and bench press competitions, I would definitely click on the pix of the male with the chest. BUT, it also depends on how he presents himself in that picture, and what he had to say in his writeup.
As the saying goes:

soon as the shirt comes off I get flooded with email - granted the majority of women that then contact me are 45 + and past thier prime looking for a toy boy I believe -- but they didnt email me at all fully clothed
so in my books yep it does attract the wrong types | |

In a perfect world - and we don't have one - yes this should be the case as many people would like to attest too
I alas will subscribe to the theory that physically attraction is the first thing we experience and in a primordial way men that are in shape will always attract attention from women as women can not deny the genetic encoding in them to at least admire if not seek or desire a male that is a very healthy specimen that would father healthy strong children able to better survive
I wont rehash this for the millionth time in full as you will all understand - but not all accept that it is a remnant of out pre historic evolutionary past | |

A normal person could dislike people who thoroughly enjoy going to the gym though...because those people easily fit into this specific negative category that no one in their right mind would want to assoicate themselves with.

Just because your proud of something doesnt mean to have to shove it into people's faces..... Does it?
Its great that you take care of yourself and that you feel good, fit and healthy.... but you should be doing that for you.... Not to use it to get the attention of other people by showing it off .
If you see what I see on the womens "my matches" screen, you'd see an absolute shed-load of men with no shirts on, showing off their physics.... Good for them Id say but after a while..... it gets a bit boring.....
I think its more likely the case that you love your physic more than other people...(except you think its the other way around)....

So after I've talked to someone a while I'm just as curious as the next guy is.. I wana see the goods. And if I like the person and they like me I'll show them my build, but little smokie is a shy one and never comes out. I removed all my pictures from the public's eye's months and months ago and the emails has slowed to a more reasonable rate.The number of emails went down.But the quality of the people emailing me went up. I prefer my personality attract a woman. Female's are not as visual as the Male's are. A Male can fall in love with a woman simply by her beauty alone.Is it love? Or is it Lust? What is more powerful of an emotion between "love" and "lust"? It's as thin line.
A beautiful woman can fall in love with a guys personality.I see good looking women with homely guys all the time.. I hardly ever see a good looking guy with a homely woman. | |

The guy is probably more into his apppearance than I am. I'm thinking you get to look forward to lots of superficial discussions if he's not distracted by the mirror. I'd also wonder if he was a high maintenance guy who required a lot of ego stroking about his appearance. | |
