Well, to be totally general, as a rule, Republicans are more conservative and Democrats are liberal.

No offence though Snoug, you don't live in the United States...so you don't know what kind of stuff goes down over here.

So what, you'd rather have someone who sends your country into a war like Veitnam because he feels he should impose the "American" way on the world . . . man, i've turned into a hippy . . . When did that happen?

I was speaking to Snoug. Don't know, I'm just really pissed about people who think violence is the only way to settle an argument.

huh? well to add a few things to this fire. U might want to read up on osme of the Micheal Moore backlash b4 u go see him. Some bedtime reading

One Moore Stupid White Man by Ben Fritz
Micheal Moore Is A Big Fat Lair by Daivd T. Hardy & Jason Clarke

and as for the violence issue. Sorry but it's the definitive
answer. No one likes it but when no ones listening being diplomatic is pointless. U try and talk to a fantic with a belt full of TNT.

And nice going Blondago. Wish u the best for that

no need for condecending sweet sarcasm,,, are the other topics being "monitered"? ive notice alot of garbage and flirting and off-subject conversations going on in all topics, and youre the only one to bring it up "in such a manner",,,...Actually i can only speak for myself but since you re-worded the original topic,"admin" the answer on my experience is: "MY $25.00" thankyou for your help and concern, Later, and hugs to all...Blondago56/mary m.

Hmm.. I thought u would already know Admin. Didn't u check out the opposition before starting up? anyways here a few nice ideas that should fit in nicely here.

Frist off this is about the only one i've seen with a forum and it's a big boon so well done!
however a few changes too it would make it more user friendly. Like adding the rules to the home page. No-one reads the rules because their not easy to find. and when they get down that far into the forum then they've already been run over. a disclaimer would also cover u're asses agianst a few things.

Last Login Date in the profiles would stop people trying to get the attension of someone who hasn't bee on the site in a year. I got a emial saynig the site has over 200'000 members but i don't believe that even half of them are active. And reading around unanswered PMs seem to be the order of the day.

An ice breaker question in the profile is also a good idea something people can answer and open up the flow of conversation. Just something so that u're not cold callling the people with err... Hello?. A lot of people find getting started a problem that would solve it.

Compiling info into a blurp about the person. The dreaded words perfer not to say is as good as guilt in some eyes, (made up names before anyone asks)

Name: David Smith
Smoker:Pefer not to say.
children:3
Height 5'5
weight: pefer not to say
eyes: blue
Hair: Blonde

instead try- David Smith is 5'5 with blue eyes and blonde hair he also has 3 children.

If they don't want to say then miss it out. People wont even notice until they look for something they want to know. It can get someone to contact someone that they might otherwise not and find out they really like them. It's twisting things a little but i think it's better.

anyways. this threads a mess.

I tried a pay site for a bit before I found this site. Not a pleasureable experience to say the least. As someone pointed out lot's of "baiting" emails, and I also feel alot of the members and profiles where fabricated by the site to offer more regional appeal. I wore out several keyboards messaging potential females. I even attempted sending some of them "I'm positive you don't exist, so please message me back to prove me wrong" emails, but with very little success. I had one nice woman finally contact me, and we chatted, and even met once, but she was REALLY secretive. Turns out that she was married and looking for a fling, to make a long story short, I joined 'onlinerestrainingorder' and I haven't heard from her since. But seriously, I get a good feeling from this site, time will tell.....

Well, let me just tell you I firmly believe your on the right track. Speaking as veteran of several websites; some of which I've been on for years. Not once have I received an e-mail from anyone. Heck I've never received a reply from an e-mail I've ever sent (except for on this site)! The only e-mails I ever received on the paying sites was when I first took the free offer to post a profile but not have to pay. It was within days of that I would be enticed by a E-mail that I would have to pay to respond too. Once I payed and sent my e-mail off then I never seen nor heard of the lady again. But the ruse doesn't end there! When ever I threatened to leave a site or my account was about to expire, I would magically recieve a e-mail. You can guess the rest of the story. Yep, I'd bite the hook and the dating site would reel in the money. Then the lady who sent the E-mail would again vanish into thin air.

So, yes I think they are a rip off to some extent. I do believe that there is some truth that a few individuals do have success, on them? However, for the most part those sites prey on those who our obviously down on their luck in the dating world. In that sense it's like a mouse trap!

The only pay site I would recomend would be e-harmony but only if you are looking for long term with poss of marrage... the local dating companies are very expensive like christian singles 1500 a year its just lunch 1300 a year great expectations 1000 a year... yah its getting really expensive to get together now a days..... oh well can't give up don't know how...

I have grown rather upset with all the Pay dating sites. I wellcome them about as much as telephone call solicitors. Now if the majority of them were upfront about the fees they charge I might feel another way. All one has to do is google for "free personals" and you will find hundreds of scammers that are often not upfront about their fees. Many claim to be "100% free" yet want money to pm others. I guess I dont understand it. Why is it one can easily find thousands of other subject related message forums which freely allow users to pm others and exchange emails. but it's so hard to find a free personals site? Obviosly it's all about making money at the expense of other's misfortune. It reminds me of those that drive around seeking stranded hurricane victims to sell water to for $20 a gallon.

I remeber so many times that I thought I was understanding the rules of such "free" sites, I remember reading all the fine print etc... then taking an hour or more to set up my page, only to be sent a notice asking me for $$$. I almost never found this site, and I must admit that I'm still rubing my eyes here almost in disbelief. I kept expecting a popup asking me for my credit card.
