who were frustrated that no one would talk to them most nights.. and went home alone usually...
very confusing... and an opening for a brash bewildered aussie... ....
I was the bloke who was interested in coming over for chat.... expecting the usual... "kick in the nuts". but found the reverse... wow! you want to chat to me!... cool....

How do you choose which profiles to look at and which ones pass on by?
wellllllllllllllllllllllllllll, Mr Sixty-three O..... as I dont go into the other side of the site (unless I have mail... which is when the occasional blue moon shines)...the only opportunity I have to view a profile is through the forums.....and that would depend on what comments were posted to whether a squizz at their profile was warranted or not. So I suppose its a mind thing for me!!! How do u get the type in bold, took me forever to work out the quote box

| Is there a difference between American and Australian Women Posted: 3/26/2009 6:22:54 PM | I find this whole concept ridiculous. If our cultures were growing in isolation from each other and from the rest of the world there might be grounds for pointing out differences. However we're so bombarded with American TV shows, magazines, music, etc, etc that any differences can only be between individuals. The same differences would be observable between Americans WITHIN their culture or between Australians within the borders, within states, within cities, within schools for that matter.
At least I thought you could underline I think you have to go back in afterwards within the 15 min window and edit the brackets to left and right facing angular brackets for underlining. I did try to type the actual brackets but they disappeared on posting. Have a go on the practice thread. http://forums.plentyoffish.com/datingPosts469064.aspx

| Is there a difference between American and Australian Women Posted: 3/26/2009 6:38:19 PM | i take offence gentlemen. i think australian women are fresh and real, sincere and lower in their expectations , laidback and domesticated, adventurous and maternal, astute and careful. The american women i have known blanch at the sight of a pantry full of cooking ingredients, and would not be content with a husband who would not obey them, who does not dress extravagantly, spend extravagantly on them, live in a nice place, drive a nice car, and give them a pretty nice life...how many australian women would demand that?
hey cool mr63 ,it works.got any other tricks?

| Is there a difference between American and Australian Women Posted: 3/26/2009 7:24:19 PM | There are differences i think Canadians are similar to Australians having said that i go with the approach and judge each person as i meet them no matter where they are from. You can get good and bad in all races sarcastic in all Nasty in all

| Is there a difference between American and Australian Women Posted: 3/26/2009 7:46:55 PM | well I messed that up didn't I? At least I thought you could underline
Gawd, you had me all a quiver with your alleged underlining skills. Typical bloody bloke, all talk and no action.
Anyways... I just read that someone on these forums prefers American soapies to our home and away grown Aussie oy oy oy ones. For shame!
And if you prefer Yank soaps, do you fantasise about women looking like they do in their soapies? I simply don't have enough time and patience for the 'Big Hair' and 'Fake up' requirements of any soap star, but especially not American ones, who do it bigger and better than anyone. If wonder if all American women agreed to synchronise a 'cease-hairspray' you could hear the planet breathe an audible sigh of relief?

There is nothin wrong with hairspray.everytime i use it i plant a tree. And as for subtle makeup my dear, weell, as they say in texas "if the barn needs paintin, paint it".Unlike your natural beauty, if you would only keep a straight face for a moment, some of us intercontinentals need all the help we can get.And with reference to pics, i am mutually beginning to despair of our evil-by-association alliance.now if u would just blur out the dagger in ur profile pics a bit, we may have more friends , and you may get more emails.im not really scared.not really.ok maybe a little bit.
i dated an american once.he taught me the american anthem one new years eve."oh say can you see, by the dawns early light..nananananana.."oops sorry this is about american women.they are great.they have cool chewing gum,and movie stars.but can they rope a croc?hah.

| Is there a difference between American and Australian Women Posted: 3/27/2009 3:05:24 AM | Underline! Oooooohhhhhh
You know, there may be certain cultural differences between Australian and American women, but let not this stand in the way of true love. Remember gentlemen, that even people of different colour have made successful unions. Like these guys: who I believe have had their {3rd?} purple child only this week.
If you don't agree with me, you can kiss my fanny pack.

| Is there a difference between American and Australian Women Posted: 3/27/2009 4:47:43 AM | one of my oldest friends from school days has an american wife now.. she has no "airs and graces" about her and is out there on the mower doing the orchard , picking the avos, baking the best bread, makes unreal guacamole, buys and sells real estate and does a lot of the business.. sharp as a tack.. and a heart of gold.. wicked sense of humour, still turns heads in her mid 50's..... I love her like I would a sister now...
.. this weekend they're flying stateside for a "forced" holiday to keep his green card status and visit family..,,, other years he's lived/worked there and cleaned up with exchange rates and owns his properties now,,, has a good circle of family and work friends, and other aussies over there .. a winnibago that they part own with a relly is always there to use.. old employers will re hire him if he rings from Oz to say he's over for a few months... their stateside family and friends come to visit here at times..... and by and large a great lot of people.. and not a "typical loud" character amongst them...
as a matter of fact I've met more "loud mouthed wankers"on average.. in australia... than I've met at any time I've spent in the US... men or women...

| Is there a difference between American and Australian Women Posted: 3/27/2009 11:09:22 AM | i am with you dimeadozen..... absolutely ridiculous observations.....it seems that anyone with a grudge against women, whether australian or american, has vented their spleen on this forum! i visit the u.s.a. frequently, sometimes staying months at a time. i have friends and acquaintances in many states whom i visit on every trip. these massive generalisations, apart from the obviously humorous replies, are a lot of crap. there are warm and wonderful, bright, happy and intelligent women of all ages in the u.s.a., just as in australia. maybe some of these posters' should look at themselves, or even the company they keep, to realise why they have such a negative attitude re. women. "you are whom you seek"
well said, ma'am.we know we are overgeneralizing, methinks.some of us are just racist.some of us are being defensive.some of us are just jealous.and some of us revel in the humour of anything, as happy as pigs in mud, desiring neither to offend nor to take offence.some of us just love the heat of the debate, even changing sides if it suits us.
but mostly we are seeing things from "the grid of our own experience", even if we end up gridlocked.but generalizing here, i think generally we mean no harm.

| Is there a difference between American and Australian Women Posted: 3/29/2009 9:31:29 PM | | To the OP, It is my experience, that Australian females are , in general, far better looking. Why do you people eat so much, I mean, really. However, it is true that the American women is far more "open minded", with regards to certain acts which you may, or may not find perverse. | |

| Is there a difference between American and Australian Women Posted: 3/30/2009 1:37:09 AM | | haw haw.Americans talk big from Hawaii.dont forget crocs can barrel roll.and Australian women are brave, and can hang on well. so i hope Americans can shoot good.Talk about a high pressured first date. However I am sure Australian women would do the best they could for American -Australian relations, under the most stressful of circumstances. We are like that. | |

| Is there a difference between American and Australian Women Posted: 3/30/2009 3:49:03 AM | I've never been with an American, although I've worked and studied with them, shared house one time, been to the US twice, I must say I like New Yorkers and girls from Boston for sure, educated Americans are fantastic companions...like Rosie Perez, she's from NYC right?
From observation, they're loud alright but great fun at the same time....and they can talk about anything. Actually what's not to like? They'd make awesome partners, methinks.
Difference? Accent. That's about it.
Oh yeah, grandpop thought it a brilliant idea one time to be matchmaking me with his neighbours daughter, a shy Irish American Jewish Orthodox girl....what was he thinking...
