Savona...I was talking in the generic sense. If a man sees me, or any other woman, as unattractive, she is done in his eyes. I dont believe in that "he'll want me for who I am" crap anymore. Maybe, just maybe, if someone ever wanted me, he might someday love me for who I am. But, in terms of initial attraction/desire? If he thinks I am a dog, he wont give me that time of day. | |

Posted: 10/3/2007 8:19:13 AM | Well, I think I've figured out the "bottom-line" answer - or at least what makes sense to me. I think that "nice girls" are all too often perceived as boring. Of course, if the "nice girl" meets the "right guy" - then neither of them will be bored!
So yeah, I'm not going to bother with silly games. Once I'm ready to resume the whole dating thing, I'll just keep this in mind!

And then she was telling me about a guy friend who also told her it was true. He wanted to date this girl and she kept saying no because she was 10 years older than him. She kept telling him to buzz off and he kept coming back. So... are all the stereotypes true? Do guys get off on the chase?

In my own experience, I wonder if I'm always too nice. I'm pretty easy going and I don't get upset about much. But I'm finding a trend in my dating experience (which is probably why I'm not currently dating). I find most guys are pretty unreliable. They say they'll call and they don't. They say they'll meet up on MSN and they don't. They say how they want to meet in person and yeah, nada. Does this mean if I were to blast the guy every time he did something not so great that this whole dating thing would work better?

Do women have to play games in order to capture and keep a guy's interest?
No. For myself and every guy I know, when she plays games it means it's time to put her on the backburner.
Does this mean that women who are not so nice to guys really do have more success?

2) Personality
(reverse the order of the two above, for slow burn friendships versus artificial dating)
3) Confidence
4) Communication
*Ask* for what you want, don't hide away, and don't expect prince charming to suddenly turn up at your door. If people are a hassle, move on to the next person. Repeat until you find the right person. | |

Call me old fashioned but I start with a friendship and get to know the person first and see if anything can develop from there. If it develops to more thats great if it stays just friends then that is fine with me too, as long as both of us have fun and enjoy each others company when we are around each other. That being said that takes me back to why I think its the nice guys that finish last. | |
