When does IQ play a role in tattoos.
That was my point. No IQ involved when getting a tattoo, or piercing for that matter. I was a hospital floor manager (medical/surgical wards) for 12 years. Being a nurse is not a valid claim to intelligence from my experiences. As someone stated, you asked for opinions and aren't liking the responses. Now who isn't being cool? As far as I can tell, if someone doesn't stroke your ego and tell you how great it is that you've poked holes in your body and had ink shoved under your skin, they are uncool and closed-minded. You have the right to do what you want to your body (within legal limits). I would never deny someone that right. Go nuts. However, I don't have to appreciate nor love what you've done.

| pierced or not Posted: 9/28/2007 2:39:25 PM | So I read the whole thread, and I'm obviously having a difficult time understanding things today. OP are you truly pierced, or just saying you are?
I understand about the attraction for having a body mod that you do for yourself... they should ALL be done for yourself, never for someone else. You have to live with them after all.
I did mine because I wanted it, I did it for me. I don't like heavy mods for me, and on some people they are amazingly attractive. It's not a deal breaker for me.

| pierced or not Posted: 9/28/2007 2:48:10 PM | I have a question for Mr. Cornbread.
calm down there hoss..i don't think i was referring to anyone in particular. kinda ironic though...i said ignorant prick and u start gettin a guilty concious.
You referred to somebody in the thread as an "ignorant prick", or else why did you use the term? How could you not be referring to anyone in particular? Was everyone who posted prior to your stunning revelation an "ignorant prick" then? Perhaps you could clarify who in the thread these mystery persons might be? Somebody here was, in your mind, an "ignorant prick". We should all know who these unseemly persons might be, so the rest of us can avoid them at all costs. When you use an undirected ad hominem attack, you should make sure there aren't any mirrors nearby.

I'm an ignorant prick.
And damn proud of it! | |

| pierced or not Posted: 9/28/2007 3:42:55 PM | | Yes I am pierced and yes I do have tatoos . I personally am not bothered by my question being answered that was the point. It's the remarks after the fact that bothered me however "ignorant pricks will be ignorant pricks". I definetly understand why some of you men are still single and looking, although not so sure you will ever find someone as ignorant as yourself, but I give props to the female who puts up with you. As far as I am concerned this question goes to MEN and who would of thought the women followed better than the men in some circumstances . So I will definetly keep those of you in mind when responding to your threads. Have a litte class is all I am saying. And as for you Mr.evil whatever and Mr.salesman I'm not sure you are worth the time of wasting a bit of intelligience on as "you yourself would put it". Hands up to the ones who actually followed. | |

You are wise in that regard. You don't have many bits of intelligence to spread around. Conserve them.
Have a litte class is all I am saying
I expressed my opinion and you attacked me based on your own perceptions of my job. I have been showing exactly the same amount of class you have. Little. Just as you requested.

| pierced or not Posted: 9/28/2007 5:02:20 PM | ^^^^^^Says the woman pulling down her pants in one of her photos to show her tattoo..... LOL thanks for the advertising since it's not my main photo AND I don't metinon it...I see this as a freebie! | |
|
| pierced or not Posted: 9/28/2007 5:16:15 PM | It's a turn-off for me, especially if the woman is in my age group.
I think its primarily a generational thing. Younger people (for the most part) trying to stand out and be different. I just don't happen to care for it, but who cares, lol!

| pierced or not Posted: 10/7/2007 11:21:48 PM | i say rock on girl .your a beautiful lady and if you want to be decorated then you do exactly that.you are the only one in your body and that is the only opinion that counts.as for me am tatted and personally even if i didnt have any then i would still think it's sexy to see a woman embrace a lifestyle that is out of the box or mainstream. | |

I did them for my own interests
Then that's the most important, the rest doesn't really matter !
My clit, nipples, belly and tongue are all pierced twice is this a turn off or turn on?
For me on opposed to off, though makes no big difference over all.

| pierced or not Posted: 10/27/2007 10:16:41 AM | | I am unclear as to why you don't think IQ has anything to do with getting a tattoo or a piercing. Am I understanding that if someone does these things than in your opinion they are not intelligent? Do any of you on here tattoo for a living? If not than you have no idea what alot of people who get them go through as far design and colors and making sure that it is something that represents them. Yes as a tattoo artist I have had quite a few clients come in and get something just because puting no thought into it. I personally only do custom design pieces. I don't tattoo from flash / pre drawn tattoo pictures. I put alot of time and effort into my art and yes it is art. You may not think so but just because someone doesn't think the Mona Lisa is art or beautiful doesn't necessarily make it so. And no it doesn't make you closed minded to dislike tattoos it just means your not open to that one idea. But at the same time it doesn't make someone a ignorant jackhole because they are into them. | |

| pierced or not Posted: 10/27/2007 10:22:19 AM | | I got my nose pierced 5 years ago. I did it because I had wanted to for many years. I am glad I did it; I think it looks good on me. I must say, however, that I never considered how it might affect my chances in terms of dating. Over 40 men....weird that someone your age has her nose pierced? | |
