| Dress for success Posted: 10/1/2007 6:31:29 AM | loveable, I dress for the expected venue and weather before the idea that what I wear otherwise might impress my date. FL doesn't have an exclusive for dressing casual and in shorts. Trust me, I've lived there also ...and TX can warrant such attire more than there.
I've my 'kick-a$$' more formal ...and 'businessy' attire, but I take pause for wearing it, unless the air-conditioned venue and my very hot date call for it. Ultimately, I wear what I don't mind taking off after the date/event is over ...and we can get down to real business.
Because sex on a first date is so socially inappropriate ...and so many women choose to please those strangers before she might care to please me, I feel free to wear my Scooby-Doo boxers on a first date to any venue that would make my wearing shorts seem tacky.

| Dress for success Posted: 10/1/2007 8:17:31 AM | To me, a man (or woman) must be comfortable in their own skin to look appealing in anything they choose to wear. Confidence 'looks' good with my eyes shut!!!
That said.......I can appreciate a man who knows how to dress for any situation but strongly prefer the rugged, Wrangler wearing type.

| Dress for success Posted: 10/1/2007 11:53:46 AM | dressing too well to hit the town shows a bit of desperation, and you may get your slacks dirty when peeing on the dumpster behind the chevron. just a pair of jeans, t-shirt and a sport coat -in case you run into one of those snobby bars with a dress code. | |

| Dress for success Posted: 3/30/2008 8:03:24 AM | And let's not forget tha on some levels, behavior is directly tied in to our attire. Seems as though many studies done earlier[OK,long time ago]led to some ideas that ragged dressing habits tend to lead to more coarse public behavior and the "better" the dressing became...so did the behavior and public opinion of the subject.
A little off the scale but in the same vein....Women...when you are dressed in some rather up-scale/exotic/provacative/special,you choose how you want to define it,underwear that you are the only one who knows about ,isn't your self esteem and behavior on a higher level??Be honest now!! I don't know of any guy with his "special undies" but the effect is the same from jeans to a suit.Look better, mostly,=think better=act better.

| Dress for success Posted: 7/6/2008 6:30:25 PM | Can anyone explain to me why guys think that posting a picture of themselves holding a dead/dying fish is appealing?
I understand guys like and hunting. There was one of a guy lifting the head of a deer he had apparently just shot. Looked like something out of Field & Stream. I enjoy a good pedicure but I don't think you want to see a picture of me on here (POF) soaking my feet and getting my nails done?
Yes, the guys may be dressed in their "rugged wear" and I like a "rugged guy" myself but dead/dying animals just kill it.
