This poem is not a poem...

after thinking about this for 30 seconds...

absolutely nothing new will occur to you...

My knees are sore,
My butt is sore,
I lost my gel seat,
Somewhere in the street,
Now I think,
It's time for a drink.

Ode to Alltel & Verizon
Ads say so much
to mean so little
Your service as Alltel was ONCE great
yet now?
Sucks

The end. (<-----Not a counted line)

(Sorry, CB-can't call out for some reason, but got your VMs)

something moving caught my eye
looking up just one young fawn is walking by
moving on thin legs still so wobbly
munching breakfast of fresh green shrubbery
huge ears moving constantly
swishing his small white tail occassionally

Two hos emerged from a yellow cab,
And sorry I could not afford both,
I had to choose which one I'd jab,
I looked up one skirt as far as I could,
To where it ended in undergrowth.

Then took the other since she was fair,
And better still it had no hair.

(Oops! That poem stepped over the line and might get a frosty reception.)

------------------------------------------------

One cannot choose where the mind leads one,
I was born with my tongue in my cheek,
And I just cannot help poking fun,
But is it a crime if I'm weak?

So if you don't like what I think,
Don't blame it on me blame the drink!

(No, I'm sober. Last night was another story.)

------------------------------------------------

I can't squeeze my life into three score years and ten,
There's so little time and so much I'd like to do,
I prepare a plan and make out a list but then,
Some unseen hands take hold of me out of the blue.

And just like my life all my poetic designs,
Will not fit in the confines of only six lines.

------------------------------------------------

Sometimes I can't contain myself,
And neither can my skin,
Some mischievous elf,
Is making me want to sin,
I burst and break free,
In a poem writing spree.

------------------------------------------------

A crow hopped on my picnic table,
Hoping for a piece of meat,
His feathers smooth like satin or sable,
His eyes ever watchful not missing a beat.

And I wonder why beauty has blessed,
This intelligent bird considered a pest.

------------------------------------------------

Well that's six for the price of one,
And I've had my bit of fun,
Now I must do the three esses,
(I'll give you three guesses),
A new day lies waiting,
And I'll be out dating.

(Have great day!)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i woke before light this morn
light rain was washing the day being born
walked around the corner something to see
there in the pine tree,not two owls but three
a mother and father and youngster watch i
keeping my distance,no need to make them fly
dawn's light beholds
life's lessons as we continue our path
staying near enough to be close
yet close enough to be far
ime won't stop our heart as wonder
where our babies are
windows shut with curtains drawn
safe within my fashioned womb
sunshine slivers catch my eye
teasing me with their dances
in my mind I stretch my limbs
towards miraculous illusions
"have a drink", he said
waving towards a seat
"I will", I said, then did
charming conversation?
hours later, shoeless
I stumbled home
I stumbled home
one night all alone
like the sea foam
covering the stone
there was no sweet meat
I was left in the street
Mark the date:
Today was my very first desert sand storm
Lasted over an hour now
winds blowing near tropical storm strength I'd have to say.
Caught the neighbor on his roof.
Now it's raining.
Traffic is still crawling.
Traffic is still crawling,
Homeward bound from work,
While I sit here scrawling,
Like someone gone berserk,
They're all bored and tired,
While I'm alive and wired.
a flat grey light greets me this morning
no sun shining and no rain falling
trees' green leaves reflecting the grey
an odd beginning to this summer day
and through the grey now i can see
rain is soon to be watering me
I want
to paint,
a picture of you,
My restraint,
will paint,
it mostly in blue.
Its ok, I’m alright
No room for pain
Tucked out of sight
Another day
Melts into night
I’m not ok, but its alright
With a flawless dance you were whisked away like morning dew
Time and distance will not steal the love I have for you
Please remember me with a grin
Maybe we will get a chance yet again
Sometimes when life is a blast,
Dancing on top of the heap,
To many nights have now passed,
Without an adequate sleep,
I feel like the walking dead,
so I'm returning to bed.
Lounging in bed is a trap!
No! I cannot fall into that!
Hiding is hell for the soul,
I will not be a wombat,
Crawling back into my hole.
I need some coffee, asap!
Who's to say what will come
The future drifting in on a breeze
Claiming steps wrought with strength
Steady as a rock
Climbing the ladder
To the future
to where do you go
my love how to live without
you I do not know
do not let love die
in loneliness you shall cry
as also shall I
my friend
she thinks she's alone in her fight
for her right to be
try as I may I've been known to say
Make a brand new start today
don't let yesteryear get in the way
you are not alone in your quest
searching for the you that's the best
You know .... I love lightning storms. I've seen some things I can tell you.
Parking lot full late at night in Florida ... Lighting capital!! Unbelievable displays.
Two young boys stepped under a live oak to get out of the rain ... lightning found them trying to hide.
They told us as construction workers we didn't have to worry about lighting ... "It won't strike a gounded metal structure!" .... As we watched the building over from ours get hit. Cazy me, I've tried to catch it on film ... I'm always a second too late.
