After being dumped:
well, I never liked him anyways. (thanks for letting me know now)
he wouldn't know a good thing if it hit him on the head. (haven't resorted to violence yet)
you were too good for him anyways. (I love that one..)

Hearing the "I never liked him" after you've broken up is a classic. My mum said that after I dumped this dweeb last year. As soon as I told her we had broken up, she ranted about what an "arrogant so and so" he was. Thanks mum, could have told me that during the relationship...I work as an organist at a church which congregation is mostly seniors - a lot of senior women. Some of their advice is priceless *s*
