I have a family history just as you do. I didn't know it until my father passed away a few years ago. I just thought the things I saw and felt were wierd and uncanny. I have studied psychic pneomenon intensely for the past six months. Do not be afraid of your gifts. God is giving this information to you to pass on and help people to make this world a better place. I have predicted deaths, births, accidents, and many other things and I have saved peoples lives. I have told people who thought they couldn't have childrent when they were going to conceive. I have improved peoples lives, made people aware of circumstances they could avoid. I never once considered it a curse. It is Gods love for others that makes it our responsibility to help them in what ever way we can. Make the earth a better place to be by helping those in need with our gifts. Please read Sylvia Browne's Book "Conversations with Other Side" It is inspiiring and eye opening and will help you realize what a wonderful gift you have. | |

She and I have gotten to be pretty close friends, I never get a reading though I stop in to check on her and her husband but we talk about a lot of things and she has never been wrong on anything she has told me, men, my children, my finances work etc.
Do I base decisions on her advice? No, I just continue to live my life as I normally do and then when something pops up that she has told me about I just kinda chuckle and say well , she was right as usual. | |

Posted: 7/31/2009 8:14:57 PM | Here's the problem with that stuff...if you listen and allow it to go into your subconscious, it can set up the self fulfilling prophesy. In other words, you hear the info and think that it's true, and it comes to pass because you believe that it will come to pass.
Christianity says that any form of divination is forbidden, and yet the wise men drew lots and such.
Generally, God is bigger than any form of prognostication.
I use the Iching occasionally, but the "advice" is general and wise and gives food for thought, as opposed to telling you that something specific is gonna happen. Also, it is said that you should be at least 40 years of age to use the Iching.
You have to be VERY careful with this kind of stuff because it can really push you around and become habit forming. I had a girlfriend once who could not cross the street without consulting her reader. It was nuts. The last straw was when her reader told her that we were astrologically incompatible. Whew. To this day the woman has never found a decent guy, so how much has her reader helped her?

Posted: 7/31/2009 8:25:00 PM | For every true psychic, there are 99 others that are phony. Getting one who knows what they are doing is rare. Most of them are charlatains, and there to rip you off.
Everyone has the ability to be intuitive, or somewhat 'psychic'. It just depends on how open we are to it. But even the most documented psychics cannot predict everything all the time, so don't put your money on everything they say.

But I'd rather go with my own thoughts about things and think it should be taken with a grain of salt. However, recently, I did let a hand reader take my palm, while attending a weekend festival. It was really cool, a lot of positives, that I walked away smiling about. It can be fun  . | |

Psychics', along with astrology and religion (and countless other related things) are for weak-minded, delusional people.
Precisely. those things are for people why cant understand anything for themselves or solve their own issues, which they should be able to solve..they are all week and are looking for some kind of "guidance" to help them along the way...they are extremely delusional.
Shrinks are the same too....they just rip people off mostly...and no people..psychic power does not exist | |

Psychics, trolls, unicorns, and gobblins all have one thing in come. They don't exist. They are pure fantasy. Nothing more nothing less. And that's OK as long as we recognize that.
As far as the people who claim to be psychic, you safely ignore them. In fact you will be better off ignoring them, and they will be better off if you ignore them. Without an audience, they will spend more time in the real world and less time escaping into a make-believe one. And that is a good thing.

It would appear that some folks aren't aware that there has been a standing offer to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to any psychic who could prove his abilities. After more than a decade the money remains unclaimed.
The folks who have come forward and been tested have been proved powerless.
PLEASE don't take my word for it. Look into it yourself.

There is a very quiet voice that you can practice listening to.
Now when I need to know something about what is going on around me I think to myself "I know this" and sort of "listen".
The impressions come and I pay attention. Anyone can do this but it takes some practice. | |

Posted: 8/1/2009 3:30:41 AM | Psychics use phrases, sentences, suggestions etc., that can pretty much be applicable to anyone that reads it. Anyone studying psychology will learn this in their first year of the degree.
They ask specific questions, watch body language, expressions, eye movement etc.
Ask the right questions and the person will answer them for you without even realising it.
But, hey, if you want to throw away your hard earned money to believe someone that uses your words against you.. Then you do that.. Personally, I wouldn't waste my money.
If they were truly psychic, then just anyone would not be able to become a psychic. If you want to be a psychic, then do a course and learn the way of manipulating words to get answers..
Its a fraud.. Mostly.. I do think that some people have an ability to read people, but that is not psychic.. | |

ability most of us have and makes us doubt that it even exists. But it does exist.
Psychic ability is real for some of us. And more people have it and never use it or know it. I have found that it does not work if I force it or try to use it constantly.
I have had numerous times when it has helped me greatly. It seems to come to me
when I most need it or there is some sort of crises.
The key is knowing when to listen to a hunch. And recognition of the tiny voice.
Practice quieting the big voice of your mind so the little voice can be heard.
It does not work for the lottery. It works for things that will happen in your life,
or in the news. I love my dreams that show the future also. | |

And some folks, like you, aren't aware of the fact that true psychics aren't in it for the money. True psychics don't need to prove anything to anyone. I know you're shocked that such people exist but, believe it not, there ARE some people out here that are not driven by the dollar.
Perhaps their pineal gland is a little less calcified than those of the rest of us but psychic power is something everyone has to some degree. The true psychic has simply more developed senses and sensitivities.
So, to the naysayers, I can honestly say that I was introduced to a true psychic decades ago and she literally blew my mind. Before being introduced to her, I was somewhat skeptic but still open to the possibilities.
This person used psychometry (although the actually modality doesn't really matter). After holding my watch for about a minute, she told me, NOT general things you'd expect from the stereotypical circus mind reader, but very very specific things that she simply could not have known about me because the person who introduced me to her didn't know those things either because I had just met him once a week before that at a party and I never told him those things.
She told me where I was born (and she was right). She told me that I had three sisters (which I do). She told me what I did for a living and where I lived (she was right). She told me that I had a puzzle ring and that it was hanging on a hook in my kitchen. She was exactly right. When I was married (decades ago) my then wife bought me one of those Turkish (puzzle) engagement rings made of whie and yellow gold. It's made up of six intertwined rings. Once you take it apart, you'll never figure out how to get it back together without instructions. I always took it off when doing the dishes (didn't want to see it get flushed down the drain and face the garbage disposal). How specific is that???
She told me that, some time in the future, I would be working with someone in the North San Fernando Valley - someone that I would trust. Well, that didn't happen until roughly 22 years later when I hooked up with a lawyer/musician friend. We've been working closely together for the last six years. That one took some time to happen but it sure did.
But the real "gotcha" moment came when she told me that I used to go to a restaurant in New York called Mama Leone's. Well, that's when I was starting to think this was nuts. Why? I was born on Long Island but my family moved to California when I was about 14 months old and I have no clue where Mama Leone's is in New York and certainly don't remember ever going there for dinner.
So, the next day, I called my mother who was, at the time, living in Palm Springs. I told her about the encounter and asked her about Mama Leone's. She told me that when she was pregnant with me, she used to go there for dinner all the time. That's when the hair on the back of my neck REALLY stood up. Now, unless this woman was a CIA agent and this was all an elaborate setup, how the hell could she have known that?
Of course there are plenty of phonies in the business and some of them are very successful simply because they're excellent students of human nature and they're pretty expert at reading body language but, in the final analysis, they're feeding most people generalities they can easily arrive at knowing something about human nature. But the real deal, if you ever have the good fortune to meet one, will really open your eyes.
Although I offered to pay this woman some money for the reading, she refused it. Go figure. Shoots your theory all to hell. | |

There are special places for people that hear voices..
Actually, they have people on the news all the time that have heard voices..
"the little voice told me to pull my gun out and shoot them all" it said they we're all evil and I must obey or bad things will happen.
I think some people need to listen or read what the heck they are saying.. They might realise how psychotic they sound.. | |

There are some skilled people out there that can read people very well and tell them blanket things that they believe. have you ever been in church and thought wow he is talking straight to me. It is unethical to tell anyone your mate is cheating or doesn't love you. What I used to do is counsel those who seemed to be having trouble to get counseling, and that cheating can lead to AIDS. No helping profession is supposed to try to control anyone's life or decisions. The worst was clients who are sick wanting to know when they're going to die. An ethical practitioner does not tell all he knows, but encourages the client to focus on positive outcomes. | |
