I wonder how much the bedrooms are? (in a posh hotel where she was on one date) and
where's the bedroom? (on visiting another date's house and being impressed at the decor)

Posted: 10/4/2007 11:48:17 AM | When I was young, my folks wanted to fix me up with a guy I just didn't like as more than a platonic friend (if that). It was known to him that I had no real interest, but he persisted, and got my step-dad in on it... telling me if I wanted to go to the movies, I had to go with Roger. So I went, was at a Drive-in movie. While I'm crushed against the passenger door, trying to avoid his gropes, he says "Wanna get in the backseat?"
All I could think of was "NO, I would rather stay up front"...
He took it as me wanting to make out in the front seat instead of the backseat. | |

I had a nice first date at a coffeehouse a few years ago with someone I met through another site. We chatted over tea, he was nice, but it was obvious there was no chemistry.
At the end of the date, we both agreed on that point and decided there would be no 2nd date. Then he asked me if I would sponsor him in a charity walk or just make a donation to his cause!
Made me wonder if he was dating just to get money!

Posted: 10/4/2007 3:32:24 PM | I've said some pretty dumb things too. I met this guy who had changed his hairstyle drastically from his pics. It was one of those spiked things where it was sticking up maybe 4 inches on the top of his head. He was also 3 or 4 inches shorter than he'd said.
Anyway, we were having a drink and chatting. I already knew I wasn't attracted to him. He must have sensed it because he kept interjecting "You're so pretty," "You're a beautiful woman" blah, blah into the conversation. I kept trying to change the subject and hadn't mentioned his hair up to that point. So I looked at him when he finishes one of his compliments and say "So, is it hard?"
lol...I MEANT his hair. He got quiet, and I had a few seconds before I realized what I'd said. "your hair! your hair!" And in character...he said..."yeh, that too." | |

Bethlet: I just wondered why you were contacting me?
xxxxxxxx: ok u dont want to talk?
Bethlet: Im not much of an internet chatter, no

Bethlet: You mean on the internet or do you mean on POF or do you mean on
this chat window with you
xxxxxxxx: it kind of like contradicting yourself
xxxxxxxxx: like going to a butchers shop[ and saying u don't like meat lol

Now I ask you. How the hell can it be antisocial to say "Im not much of an internet chatter, no". I didn't message HIM. He messaged ME. I responded politely and said I was not much of a chatter. Did I do something wrong? | |

Posted: 10/4/2007 8:06:49 PM | Ooookay. I hadn't seen a pic of him first, but I agreed to meet him for coffee. He looked like an Addams Family reject and was a good 3 inches shorter than he'd claimed, so I wasn't terribly comfortable with the situation anyway...and then he asked:
"Um, have you ever been a man?"
To which I had to reply
"No, why...have you?"
He looked pissed for some reason. I stood up and politely told him that the next time he had the urge to ask a woman such an idiotic question, he should check her neck first - Adam's apples don't lie. Then I smiled and left. | |
