| Must not do drugs....? Posted: 10/9/2007 7:47:21 AM | Thread search is my friend, but google is my best friend. Marijuana (grass, pot, weed) is the common name for a crude drug made from the plant Cannabis sativa So what's the next question.....Do you consider Perscription drugs to be drugs?
yes, a "crude" drug..not like the highly researched, and even more highly- MARKETED and HYPED, "good" "pharmaceutical" , regulatory-approved " prescription Drugs"
like Vioxx, Thalidomide, etc..
the FDA, Health Canada, etc. are pimps for the drug industry..the most highly organized, profitable & financially successful "drug pushers" in our society are the likes of Merck, Abbott Labs, SmithKline, Diageo, Seagram's, RJR, National Tobacco, Folger's, Starbucks, etc., etc.

How about medical fact? If you had glaucoma and the only thing that would save your eyesight was pot. Would you use it? Or would you just go blind? What about pain? Would you want to be hooked on the drs drugs? Or use something that is not addicting.. And natural..... .... Give Peace a chance

but what about people who smoke cannabis? do you consider cannabis a drug?
And if you use this contact restriction, why do you use it? Cannabis IS a drug. There is no "consideration" necessary. Everyone has the personal right to choose who they wish to associate with or not.

and maybe vice versa?
alcohol is a banned substance/drug in many countries..
(particularly in the Middle East..)
also, there are many, many drugs that are "legal with a prescription" (including marijuana, for people that have a medical authorization to use it), steroids, and many other substances, but are "banned, illegal substances", without a prescription..
the main reason for many of these laws is to protect the drug-makers (pharmaceutical suppliers).
If you have a prescription and pay the monopoly-controlled price to them, plus doctor and pharmacist fees, you can use as much as you want..and pay 5-10 X as much as 'black-market' prices..
the Government of Canada actuallyhas grown marijuana and distributed it to certain medically-passed users.
In July, Canada became the first country in the world to start selling government-grown marijuana to seriously ill people, an approach markedly different to that of the United States, where the Supreme Court in 2001 upheld a federal ban on medical marijuana.
The new Canadian regulations meant that some 650 sufferers granted dispensation from criminal laws to use the drug were allowed to buy marijuana grown in a government facility in Flin Flon, Manitoba, or buy a pack of 30 seeds to grow their own.

| Must not do drugs....? Posted: 10/9/2007 9:32:41 AM | | Yep, I enjoy smoking the herb. Not afraid to admit it either. I went to high school and graduated. Did some college and wound up getting a job MOST cant get w/o a college degree. I can thank my father opening the door for me on that one, but I walked through it 8 years ago. I make over $60k a year and I'm only 25 years old. I'm an electrical engineer. I design in electrical components for a major earth moving equipment manufacturer. People wouldn't have a clue in regards to me being stoned if I was right in front of them. I venture to say I do better than a lot of people on here that don't smoke pot. I wont lie. I have anxiety problems and I have not seen that in years. The doctors tried sticking me on Cholonopin and all that crap. Let me tell you. Those pills ****ed with me in a way I can not describe. If anyone is on those type of pills I feel real sorry for you. I couldn't even drive when I was taken that stuff. I straight out told my doctor I'm going back to smoking herb. I was 100% fine on it. He didn't disagree nor did he agree. I was in and out of the hospital for high blood pressure due to the panic attacks. I haven't seen that in over 4 years. Pot is illegal, but so is getting behind the wheel after 3-4 beers an hour. I wont try and tell people pot is great. If you experienced it then you know. Some have panic attacks while high. I'm the opposite. If I'm in a relationship I tend not to smoke pot though. Once in a great while and what not. | |

| Must not do drugs....? Posted: 10/9/2007 9:44:13 AM | | IMO the only people who would be willing to accept someone who does drugs (and no...we're not talking pharmaceuticals...be real here!) are people who imbibe themselves. If you've ever been sober around someone who isn't...even once in a while, let alone all the time...all I have to say is that it's frustrating as hell. | |

I agree 100%. I've noticed a lot of girls on here that take prescription meds or they are booze whores. I dont care what you say. You are not 100% functionable on those pills or booze.I know I know same as when your high, but I know I can think straight when I'm high rather than drunk or pilled out. 10x more organized as well.

| Must not do drugs....? Posted: 10/9/2007 10:53:18 AM | Must not do drugs. Means ILLEGAL DRUGS. Cannabis is illegal in the U.S.
People use the restriction because they don't feel like dealing with the issues that MOST drug users have. Generaly speaking, people who do drugs have little ambition, are irresponsible, and eventually drag the people around them down.

| Must not do drugs....? Posted: 10/9/2007 10:55:24 AM | | Dear Hvywghts ... spend a little time googling the affects pot has on your endocrine system . You interpret pot as a cure all for panic attacks but when you read about how pot affects the brain you will find that you are on an insulin overload and give your brain a roller coaster ride that would be stabilized with slow weaning and a proper diet and the right nutrient supplements that all humans need that we no longer get from our food. Your hormones are way out of balance and you are aging your most valuable possession you own... your brain. Just get in depth about how you work on a cellular level and you will be less likely to ingest something so detrimental to your mind. | |

I have never used drugs, I have never even tried them. My personal preference is not to have a relationship with anyone that uses drugs. I'm not going to apologies for that.
If anyone wants to use drugs that is fine by me, but you ain't gonna date me.

| Must not do drugs....? Posted: 10/9/2007 11:06:47 AM | If it says must not do drugs it means exactly that. They don't want a druggie in their life.
Lets face it, if someone has to toke up on illegal drugs to enjoy life, then pretty much I think you're stupid and you have no place in my existence.
But what if I smoked up before? Yeah, so? most of us have.. so, you did drugs, BFD.. do you still do them? Answer should be pretty simple. If you still can't figure it out, put down the pipe and detox for a few months and read it again.

don't a lot of people (many, many times more than use cannabis, for example..) do all that with their addictions to sugar and junky, fatty, sugar and refined carbohydrate-laden fast foods, as well?
when you become grossly, morbidly obese like so many of our population, you are also really messing up your endocrine system, your glands, etc.. you start producing all kinds of strange and harmful hormones, your hormone balance gets upset; men often become more 'effeminate' (big man-titties, not just due to the fat, but also the hormones that follow..)
women who become obese often tend to look more 'masculinized'..hair on their upper lips grows wild, etc..
the balance of testosterone to estrogen gets all outof wack for junk-food addicts of both sexes..
what does gobbling aspirin and all the other OTC medications that some people down by the dozens each day, do to your body systems in hte long run? I'm pretty sure it can't be 'beneficial'..

| Must not do drugs....? Posted: 10/9/2007 11:37:02 AM | I live in U.S., and find our so called 'War on Drugs' both appalling and hypocritical.
Our government preaches on and on to our kids about how 'bad' drugs are while it doses them up daily on Ritalin. All the while big pharma (and the insurance industry) thumb their noses at common decency and grow ever more powerful and profitable.
Maybe we need a War on Stupid...Or how about a War on Corporate Greed, that's what we really need.
Like many here, I believe there's a lot more to drugs than 'controlled substances', and that a lot of those 'NO' answers should actually be 'yes'. Also, I believe that drugs are consumed by both good and bad people. If one chooses (yes, I said 'chooses') to behave like an addict and causes problems, they're not much fun and I wouldn't want them around; however, nice (smart, funny) people enjoy drugs, too. And I think if they're not harming anyone in doing so, it's nobody's business. Besides, you can find incredible creeps who've never as much as taken a drink.
I think it's pretty small minded for someone who lets his drugs be dictated to them to look down on another who chooses his own.

| Must not do drugs....? Posted: 10/9/2007 11:54:17 AM | | Hey tossed salad .. of course, if more people knew what I did about health I would enjoy looking around at old people my age... and remember male gorrillas keep their sexual potentcy until they die, wishful thinking but humans would too if they ingested foods and exercised like our paleolithic ancestors... you are speaking to an individual who never ingested any toxins other than involuntarily and that is a rape of molecules I cannot change nor can you. Maybe it is this very reason why people bury their heads in the sand and smoke the big smoke, to lesson the pain of knowing that the machine of planetary resource depletion is gonna do us in ... but remember it ain't over till the trans phat lady sings... oh yah... and oh yah food is a drug as well fo'sure ... | |

Hevywghts...why do YOU have "must not do drugs" on your profile?
Good question. Didnt even notice that. Consider it fixed. Good eye though.
I tell people once that actually know who I am. I wont go right out and tell someone I smoke pot just like most people wont come out and say they beat there meant like it owes them money. Most of the time when I mention the herb most of the woman ask if I have any. Then I pull out a fat bag a dank and we smoke. Then casual sex happens. Good times!! Some dont except the fact I chief and I respect that. A lot of woman have a change in mind once they know I have intelligence and ususally I hear Weeellllll as long as its not daily, so I dont have a major problem dating a smoking.

From my understanding, anyone who uses the words "must not do drugs" without any extra info, means "must not do any thing the government calls an illegal drug". That doesn't include coffee or sugar, which are both toxic drugs.
Cigarettes and tobacco is a drug, very addictive, very harmful, should that be also included?
