...My rockies are gonna kick one of there ass starting next wednesday... Hopefully you're right because this Rockies team has definitely been flying under the radar the last month while they put on quite a show. But, 2004, and 2006 shows it's not always good for a team to be cooling their heels for 8 or 9 days waiting for the other series to end.
Same with last year in the Stanley Cup. Senators looked real good waltzing thru their side of things in the East. 11 days later they finally kicked off the Stanley Cup final and the Sens were flatter than pancakes.
These long breaks can be momentum killers

just remember this, they are the BEST defensive team in baseball...tulo isnt gonna forget how to get ground balls at short because of 8 days off.....
in 2004 the red sox could have taken 8 months off, that team was on a mission after the yankees, no one was gonna beat that team....
We have 8 very good hitters, all 8 are not gonna slump....
also remember, the DH factor, ortiz is gonna have to play first here in colorado...the DH only goes to our advantage...

| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/19/2007 3:25:06 PM | I hope you're right. i always like a cinderella story. Call me a hopeless romantic. But i think if I'm not mistaken, the Series takes a 2-3-2 format, so it would be opening up in Boston, erm, I mean in the AL city.
i was a red Sox fan long before the Jays were born, but I would guess my loyalties could be called into question if I were pulling for the Sox just because the Jays are nowhere to be seen these days. So I'll break with a long tradition of being an AL fan, and pull for your Rockies.
After all, the term Rocktober has a cool ring to it.
6th year in a row a wild card team makes it to the Series.

| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/19/2007 3:46:22 PM | Boy oh Boy, I hate to be right again and again, I mean I love to be right. I said 'no way in hell Indians will win 3 games in a row in Cleveland'. Now waiting for my last prediction to come true, two wins for Sox in home field. Curt Schilling, show your blood soaked socks again in 2007. Red Sox nation, rise up and help your team.
Beckett , this Cy Young for you. Isn't it ironic Red Sox produces all Cy Young winners and then Yankees (or a NY team) BUY them? Clemens, Martinez, and now Yankees must have eyes on Beckett.
Rockie who/what? No National League team has a prayer this year. They are all 80+ game winner in regular season. Both Sox and Indians are 96 game winners.

| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/19/2007 4:58:07 PM | | ^^ I don't know sir, I would be careful not to underestimate the Rockies. Don't bring out the shampaine and start the World Series championship winning party if you guys win the ALCS over Cleveland, thinking that the Colorado Rockies will be a bush over and an easy win. Don't try to have a Manny Ramirez attitude regarding the situation and feeling like it will be a given and that all will be cool and that you need not worry about the Rockies (should the Red Sox) advance. | |

Oh, the difference in win/losses couldn't possibly have anything to do with the overall higher quality of opposition within the NL West & East divisions as compared to the lower quality in the AL East and Central, now could it? Try to remember that level playing field everyone has been screaming about for over a decade. So, now that "parity" has reared it's "ugly" head don't then use it to try to make the competetive teams within a more level division look bad by using the old they only won 80+ games when the Sox won over 90 in a division with the current Devil Rays and Orioles. Trust me I know all too well about this trick.

Wow some over confident Bo Sox fans here i'd say. While i think winning the last game definetly helps Boston's chances, the Indians are not going to fall over with their legs in the air.
Manny is a**** as A Rod...

Well, for those who dont know already, its tied 3-3 now!! wooooo!!
Too many highlights to list here, fantastic game, but a few were JD Drew's grand slam, Schilling's amazing 7 innings, and support from the whole batting order.

| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/21/2007 4:38:07 AM | Its amazing how the Red Sox work and I mean coming back from 3-1 series. It seems to happen a lot with the Red Sox trailing and then you see a 7th game. Red Sox fans just when we thought it was all over (Even I thouhgt it was all over)........We now have a series. Tonight should be a good game. | |

| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/21/2007 6:49:53 AM | It's going to be a fun game to watch with all hands on deck and that (possibly) includes Josh Beckett It's going to feel electric at Fenway and the Indians are going to get zapped! Strange,Indians fans have suddenly disappeared from here after last night's game.....I wonder what their thoughts are???
IT'S NOT TRIBE TIME!!!!!

| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/21/2007 7:23:06 AM | Boston clobbard the tribe yesterday. What a game that was. They were riding "Schill" and sure were "chilling" during yesterdays game. Curt was outstanding yet again at an elimination performance. He is now I think 4-0 in games facing elimination.
Either way, the winner of tonights game 7 of the 2007 ALCS will have to come face to face with a powerful force from Denver that may pull out a big upset and sweep either one of these two American League Finalists. I personally agree with Blondblueyed that the more games the better, I just like it that way, I like baseball, and it is always great to watch more..

| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/21/2007 7:56:03 AM | Well, well, another Red Sox game, another 'grin' on my face. If I were Sox manager, I would do this:
D. Matsuzaka : 4 innings (after 6 days rest) Wakefield: 2 innings (after 5 days rest) Beckett (may be): 1 inning (after 3 days rest)
After all its a 'win' that matters.
How low Indians can go? Did you hear they brought in Beckett's ex-girlfriend to sing national anthem in the 5th game in Cleveland. The obvious intention was to derail Beckett's game plan, but it backfired.
Red Sox nation is well and alive.

| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/21/2007 8:00:21 AM | i'm back and all you boston fans are in for a huge let down tonight. be prepared for large doses of pain and emotional heartbreak.
IT'S STILL TRIBE TIME!!!!
CLEVELAND ROCKS!!!!!!!
to the above poster. the ex- girlfriend was hired before the series started so the indians had no idea that becket would be the starter on that day.
CHIEF WAHOO RULES!!!! | |

| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/21/2007 8:01:06 AM | just out of curiosity, are there any football games opposing tonight's game on the other channels? I think most of NFL sunday will be over with by then, but do they do 3 rounds of games?
You can't get people to put on the world series here for other football games, even if the local football team isnt playing :( .
Oh and the tribe will be sent back to their reservation tonight, til next season!

| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/21/2007 8:14:42 AM | | Oh yes, the Sox are known for playing some of their best ball when they're under a bit of pressure. They came out hard, heavy, and fast last night and left the Indians feeling scared....Tonight's game is going to be even better and the Indians' pitching is going to be our biggest asset! | |
|
| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/21/2007 8:20:00 AM | | I am a little concerned about Dice-K tho. He always seems to have one bad inning before he settles down and sometimes it costs us. I just hope he can handle the pressure of the game. | |

| ALCS- Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox Posted: 10/21/2007 9:41:19 AM | Boston fans, you are so wrong about tonight...Soooooo wrong. At first you will say ,at the end of the game you will be and we will be and after it is all said and done ,you will be to forget the pain. | |
