Posted: 1/20/2008 11:17:03 AM | | Oh, I say most definitely!! I had the great fortune to have a lovely summer romance after having been celibate following the end of a LTR. He "deflowered" me on my 50th birthday, and it was wonderful! Even though I have matured, I still do most of the things I did when I was in my 30s. I'm happy and healthy. I run, I swim, keep active--and my sex drive is still as lively as ever. So there's no reason that I can't burn up the bed with the right person. All that's required is meeting that person that sets off all those internal bells and whistles. Now I do say that it just doesn't happen as often as it did when I was in my late teens and early 20s, though. Back then there seemed no shortage of guys I thought were smokin' hot. Then again, the excitement could have been related more to the experience. At 50, I've had a lot of experience, so I don't find myself doing just for that. Still, if the attraction is there, I'm responding to it. I'll leave the psychoanalyzing to Dr. Phil. | |

I just bought myself a brand new bedroom suite. Its a queen size...don't want it to big so I can't find "him" in the middle of the night. Everytime I climb into bed I can't help but fantasize about the future Mr. Him.
To make it complete and ready for the day I am with the "One Who Knocks My Socks Off"...I will buy two end tables and two bedside lamps. That way, its very Fengshu and...he will come!

Posted: 1/20/2008 6:26:59 PM | I am much older than 50 and I believe true love can be an any age.....sometimes when we meet people, we are so busy judging their actions, we may not see the beauty within them. I am not guilty of judging for beauty, but guilty for judging actions, or what I think they mean.
When our children are born in this world....they may not be what we want exactly, but we ....that is most of us parents love them anyway. And for me that is how I think it is with whom ever we meet.
Love can be what we want, if we want red hot love, then we have it, if we don't work for it..practice it then we don't have it. Its sort of like those who call themselves a Christian, some are Red Hot for Christ, and some are cold, but they will still say; I am a Christian.
To me; Red hot love is definitely possible. | |

The way I remember "red hot romance", it was kind of blind, and more often than not, just brainless lust. I made a lot of mistakes when I was younger, going from "red hot romance" to "red hot romance". There is an old Russian saying..."it is the quiet fire that burns the longest". There is a lot of truth in this.
I'd rather have it slow and steady and dependable than a flash fire that burns itself out quickly and cannot maintain the burn.
I'm not looking for BS. I'm looking for real. And I'm 56 and TOTALLY capable of handling anyone that might come along. About the only capability I've lost in the last 25 years has been instantaneous memory.

Posted: 1/21/2008 9:11:24 PM | yes it definately is possible i'm over 50 and last summer i had a red hot romance it was so great i wrote poetry (didn't give it to him or tell him) wrote him a song it was the best romance i ever had in my lifetime and i'm over 50 but our time ended when his x wife decided she wanted him back she didn't want him when he was with her but as soon as she saw someone else wanted him she wanted him back but at least i know it is possible and could happen again so no matter what the age all things are possible so keep your chin up! | |
