Some people have anal sex to avoid vaginal intercourse whether it is because it is "that time of the month" or they are just feeling a little uninvaded at the time. Is it safe, recommended to have anal sex without a condom?
Yeah, some people have anal sex with it's that time of the month for her, but that's not the only reason. Some do it because they have latex allergies and the female doesn't want to get pregnant. Same for some people with religious reasons who want to maintain their hymen until marriage. And then some people do it simply because they get off on doing it!
If the female has had an enema, then that area should be relatively clean. A guy can ejaculate into a female's rectum, but there is a slight chance she can get pregnant from semen leaking out the anus into the vagina. That's called a "splash conception". And yes, microscopic organisms can enter into the bloodstream from microscopic tears, so do it unprotected only with a partner who has been tested recently and whom you trust.
I do my best to give accurate info, but it's best to do further research on your own if unprotected anal sex is your thing. | |

What the heck do you mean by equally common OAI? I take it to mean that, if I encounter a straight person they are about as likely to have HIV as a Gay person. Is this how you take it or do you mean something else? Because if that's how you take the stats you posted should you're wrong by a factor of about 25:1. That's not just a little bit wrong.
No, that's not how I take the stats, I know the chances would be slimmer for a straight person to be infected than that of a gay person. I'm just saying that it isn't quarantined to just the gays anymore, you don't know who's walking around with HIV in the straight community and not knowing it. The chances would be slimmer, yes, but not too much slimmer. Everyone's taking a chance, gay or straight. I hope you understand where I'm coming from, and thanks for the debate! | |

I appreciate what you are saying about the ability to someone with HIV in any walk of life. There is nothing that can tell you for certain beforehand that someone is going to be a carrier and its wise to take precautions.
Nevertheless, I'm also reminded of the design of stop lights for railroad tracks. Its a tricky business. People need to be warned well before the train is coming. Unfortunately, if you make it too far before people will attempt to cheat the light. If you make it to late people might not stop in time. Its a delicate balancing act and it took a lot of research to get it right. Over estimating the probability of running into someone with HIV in the population has related kinds of problems. In the gay community its 1:1000 people. So its relatively easy to convey the info and to many people you won't seem alarmist. Lots of people know someone who knows someone who has it. In the straight community its 4:100000. That's a heck of a lot lower chance and raising too loud an alarm will be seen foolish because people will start thinking its BS. | |

If the female has had an enema, then that area should be relatively clean.
Those bold typed words are the catch!!!! should and relatively..... not a given. The ONLY thing that kills C -Difficile ( found in feces) is Bleach and I am praying that no one is giving bleach enemas!!!!!!!!!

A standard meaning of sodomy is "any intercourse not between the genitals of a man and woman" - most often applied to anal sex, but which also means, yep, oral sex, mutual masturbation, solo masturbation - all tickets straight to hell.
The question's been asked and answered - no, it's not safe. If you don't want to participate, don't do it, but don't pass judgement on people who do. It doesn't make any woman who enjoys it a freak, nor does it make any man who does a closet homosexual.
If you're going to do it, just take proper precautions. | |

Anal sex can be non-safe for other reasons other than STD standards, it can cause tears in the anal wall, causing infections etc....
In regards to all the comments in regards to the cleanliness of anal sex...If the anal sex is mutually agreed upon, usually an enema would be used to clean the receiving individual...and if anyone has used an enema before for a medical test etc...it does clean out the lower portion of your anus...
