don'tmakecookies - I think they still don't get how rare it is to get hetero aids. Maybe you should normalize the populations. i.e. out of 1000 gay encounters how many would get aids according to the percentages? What about 1000 hetero encounters? I think people would better see what you mean. I don't know the numbers but it has to be a huge difference. If there's thousands of gay encounters making 17,000 cases of aids in 2005 but billions of hetero encounters making only 12,000 cases... somehow that can be illustrated to make sense to those that don't get the disparity.

Every couple of years, another once-scandalous sex taboo starts making its way toward the commonplace. A decade ago, blow jobs were what people whispered about; then three-ways became the naughty bedroom act. Now, it’s anal sex—but according to the Centers for Disease Control’s National Survey of Family Growth, it’s rapidly becoming a regular feature of hetero couples’ horizontal activities.
The survey, released last year, showed that 38.2 percent of men between 20 and 39 and 32.6 percent of women ages 18 to 44 engage in heterosexual anal sex. Compare that with the CDC’s 1992 National Health and Social Life survey, which found that only 25.6 percent of men 18 to 59 and 20.4 percent of women 18 to 59 indulged in it.
Anecdotal research also demonstrates curiosity is on the rise. Babeland’s anal-sex workshops are now held three or four times a year, instead of once, and they’re filled with straight couples. “More and more, people are devoting themselves to learning about anal pleasure,” says Carolyn Riccardi, education coordinator for Babeland’s New York retail stores. “Male-to-female anal sex has been happening since the dawn of time,” she says. “What’s different now is that women are actively learning how to enjoy it and have fun with it.”
I first did it with my husband,” says Lisa, a recently divorced thirtysomething from across the Hudson. “It was a regular part of our married sex life, and I enjoyed it. I think it can feel good for anyone—except if you’re too uptight about it, meaning, you’re literally tight-assed.”

Well blow me down it can also put a woman off vaginal sex too... any p!ssed off woman ain't having any fun. or an orgasm ... and why oh why do alot of women spend so much time fulfilling sick fantasies of men , if you had the opprotunity to get an honest answer which happens casually and not in a clinical study you will get some very different responses ....like some of my great women friends .... if they don't wanna do it why should they!!!!!! I know two older women in long term relationships that never said no to anything their husbands desired and are now very angry participants in marital therapy because they never empowered themselves to stand their ground in their own sex practises and in their marriages and do not even experience any sexual activity because they have been turned off ..not on...

I have some personal experience that might help to at least open some eyes.
Anal sex can be the most horrible of pain or the most awesome pleasure. It depends a lot on your attitude but especially your partner. If all of you reach my age and don't have some guy just put it in the wrong spot.......you are either lucky or you've not been playing.
Of course, when that happens, you scream, he stops and life goes on.
Anal sex is great when you have a trusting partner and you have had a sexual history already, to the point that anal is a new height ...takes you places you've not been. I would
never consider it as every day activity....but a night of really hot sex would certainly include this, in more cases than most people care to admit.
As to the men and enjoying anal penetration, many men enjoy this and ask for it.
We are not talking a 14" monster...why would you think a man would want something in his butt that you wouldn't want in your twat?? There are small, safe anal probes that stimulate the prostate ....and they can be very pleasurable to a man.... Especially if his
