Did you ever notice that ..as a man gets older, he tends to grow facial hair? Nope, I never even noticed that, as a woman gets older, she grows breasts.
Joke... Guy goes down on his woman...who looks down between her legs and says, "y'know...you'd really be hot in a beard."

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 1/3/2008 9:28:06 AM | I grew facial hair last year as an experiment to see if I finally could, as for some reason I only hit that stage of puberty by around age 20!
Every previous year I was dating, and for the most part girls prefer guys without facial hair, and I don't blame them if it itches or causes rashes. However last year I was on longterm work assignment in Australia, so for the first time I was on the opposite end of the world with nothing better to do with my time, so it didn't matter if I looked a little mangy during the first month waiting for things to fill in...
After about two months I experimented with styling it, and by the time I went home for a visit, I had my new look for my late twenties - the goatee!
Fortunately black hair tends to coil, so it doesn't have the same bristle-brush texture as white hair once it grows out to a sufficient length. Add to it some regular conditioning and I have a fluffy little patch of black sheep's wool underneath my chin, and I look more my age now (28), thus allowing me to finally be taken seriously by the older women I approach (age 28 to 35).
If it really bothers a girl I like, I'll grudgingly switch back to baby-face mode, but for the time being, I'm casually dating and loving the look, and so are the ladies!

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 1/3/2008 12:57:03 PM | | I keep the areas I like to be kissed clean for the ladies. Neck, cheeks, and upper lip (i dont really like the mustache at all). I just let my goatee and sideburns grow out usually. Some women love the baby face, some like the rugged look. If a woman I really cared for prefered me to shave, I would. Let it grow out? even better. I aim to please. | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 4/29/2008 7:52:03 PM | tired of shaving every day - sleep is more important. Hiding that double chin that comes with age and more work than working out. Why not, i'm a man damnit. | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 4/29/2008 8:29:12 PM | OK I personally do NOT like facial hair on a man. I really dislike a mustache and maybe its due to the guy that I went out with that always seemed to collect food in his and I got tired of telling him that it needed tending or trimming. EEeeyyuck. I also dont like the age it adds to a face OR how it feels on my skin when it touches me -which I remember to be; a sudden sharp tickle mixed with a bit of poking , and finally just an annoying rub that I wanted off me.Yeah made it hard to concentrate on the kiss. I blame Will Ferrell and his Ron Burgundy character in his broadcaster movie !! It was a comedy guys you werent supposed to do it. :rolleyes There really is nothing like the feeling of a bit of stubble grazing across the back of my neck tho so I'm not all anti hair. That much hair looks really sexy to me and any rash or tender skin after somehow just doesn't feel bad like a musache rub. One womans opinion for you.
P.S whatever you look like I enjoy you anyway.

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 4/29/2008 10:11:10 PM | Well, never thought it to be a manly thing, just never got onto the habit of shaveing is all. I could count on one hand the times I have been clean shaven in my life.Shaved for a couple sisinlaws and friends wives,to be in their weddings, other than those brief times, always had a beard.

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 4/30/2008 7:54:16 AM | guys with facial hair are yummy... beard, mustache (not the full Burt Reynolds type though), pork chops, peach fuzz under the chin... whatever, it's all good! Now that I'm thinking about it, I've never had a boyfriend that had a totally clean face, even in high school. Clean-faced men look like boys to me.
There is something undeniably masculine about a man with hair on his face. It's nice when they keep it trimmed and groomed but I wouldn't be bothered by a week of not shaving. I wouldn't want to have to put a razor to my face every day either!

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 4/30/2008 8:03:37 AM | | Yeah, shaving everyday sucks! When I'm at work I let it go for awhile, but the night before I get home, I shave my neck, mustache, and cheeks and trim up my beard. Gotta be cleancut. | |

Cheap and lazy. Let us see if the rest of the guys with facial hair will admit to the same thing. Myself, i also am cheap and lazy. But the least i can do is drag my sorry self out of bed early enough in the morning to drag a razor over my face to make myself look some what presentable WTF? Are you trying to say that ALL of us guys that have some facial hair are cheap and lazy? What a total crock of shyt. I have a goatee because I like the way it looks on me, and I do buy razors to shave the rest of the hair, so where does cheap, as a good razor isn't cheap, and lazy, since I do shave every other day, come into play? Dude, that is a totally lame comment, just speak for yourself huh, don't include us in your skewed views on this subject.

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 4/30/2008 11:32:30 AM | | Most of us like our facial hair when we have it. We'd rather trade you in for a woman that likes us for who we are and why are you asking gals on this forum? | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 4/30/2008 12:11:03 PM | As I saw from a previous poster he said he goes back and fourth just to keep things diffrent, I pretty much do the same. I had a full beard all winter but kept it nice and trimmed and I was suprised by how many compliments I actually got on it. But now that it has warmed up i'm back to a goatee.
I have a goatee because I have a double chin... by growing out my goat, I give myself a defined chin..
dude ya know whats sad, thats actually true lol!

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 5/1/2008 2:39:44 PM | | I don't really like facial hair. It gives me whisker burns and I look like rudolph the red nosed reindeer. I really get into kissing so I don't like facial hair. | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 5/11/2008 4:44:09 PM | Yes pokerjimmy wouldnt it be sweet if everyone liked each other for who they were. Will you the one dating - if single - women who are really NICE inside but you arent attracted to ? I don't think so. I think this is a great way to see what the opposite sex is thinking about these compelling issues. You know like do men like women with short hair....it seems that most men like us with long flowing hair but do we run out and change it ? NO ! 'cause we like it the way we like it, but its sure interesting to see what the masses are thinking. | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 5/11/2008 6:33:28 PM | I myself happen to love facial hair on men....A mustache and goatee are very sexy to me. When I look for a man - the first thing I look for is a mustache and a goatee.....

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 5/11/2008 6:53:32 PM | Sometimes I grow beard, sometimes I don't. In my case, it has nothing to do with the age but, looking myself at the mirror. I'm ugly anyways and I don't want to scare the children... | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 5/11/2008 8:08:47 PM | I worn my beard since the early 70's, keep it trimmed short and well groomed, shave neck and below my lower lip daily. I do this for myself, and like many of my other traits, it's just part of me. To each his or her own.

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 5/11/2008 8:19:48 PM | | growing a beard is just lazy, if its an all out beard, if it tidy and trimmed up, you can tell there time put in. But for the most part when guys get older they grow facial hair to see what the can look like and pull off. Obviosly when you were younger, you couldnt grow facial hair even enough and when your in your 20 and 30 your still chasing after younger girls. So why would you want to look older. A goaty, or like chin strap or crazy sideburns. thats a daily skill you have to master, cuz ussually your half asleep with a razor in your hand and one mess up, you just wrecked what you were going for. you also cross that point where you want to be the clean cut guy, or the bad ass with the goaty. there is nothing more bad ass then a shaved head and goaty, and maybe sleeve tatoos | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 5/11/2008 11:02:58 PM | | When I was young, I think I did it because I felt it made me mature. In my thirties, I liked the way I looked clean-shaven. Later, I liked the way I looked if I had a beard (short and trim), goatee or stash. So...........I think we do it because we like the way it looks. That simple. | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 5/12/2008 12:12:24 AM | If i'm in a relationship i'll clean shave to avoid giving my lover microdermabrasion everytime I kiss her.
Otherwise I keep changing it. style statements if you will...ie:
5 o'clock shadow with shades and jeans goatee with khakis and dress shirt full beard with cargos and a buck knife
