| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 6/12/2008 5:37:46 PM | Facial hair? I find that it interferes with my feeling her soft, smooth, warm skin, beautiful tender lips, especially her delicate sensitive places. I love feeling her face as I kiss and caress with my lips, face, tongue, and even my breath. How would it feel to a woman to have prickly, stabbing hairs on my face as I kiss her, anywhere, everywhere? When I am unshaven, it pushes back into my face as well, even when I had long facial hair. I like to feel her smooth, fresh, clean, skin against my smooth, fresh, clean skin. Facial hair, looking more manly…. or not, when TWO get together and become ONE , NOTHING BEATS SMOOTH SKIN TO SKIN, FACE TO FACE, EYE TO EYE, LIPS TO LIPS, TONGUE TO TONGUE AND HEART TO HEART. I grew up in the Arizona High Sonoran Desert, nothing worse than getting prickly cactus thorns in one's skin, especially Prickly Pear! Prickly Pear, “common name for plants of a genus of the cactus family. The plants are characterized by flat-jointed stems covered with small clusters of stiff hairs called glochids, and usually also spines.” Manly Man: is really just a “glochids face” ..........lol

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 6/12/2008 6:20:31 PM | | I feel like I have to defend us bearded fellas! I did not grow my beard as I got older; I grew mine when I was 18 and in the Navy, and got tired of having some chief come around every day and tell me to shave when I didn't really need to. And I've had it pretty much ever since. Yes, I've shaved it off a few times, but it just doesn't look like me staring back in the mirror after all these years. I keep it very short and trimmed neat, and go back and forth between a full beard and a goatee. I like the way I look (and don't really like the way I look without it, got compared to Kevin James and Tom Arnold...lol), so I'm keeping it, and any woman who wants to be with me needs to accept me for who I am, beard and all. | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 6/12/2008 7:30:26 PM | I too grew my beard when I was much younger, I had just gotten out of the Army and just didn't feel like shaving for a while. In the military you have to shave even if people need a microscope to see your facial hair. So when I didn't have an officer ordering me to shave I stopped. I had every intention of shaving again but when it grew in I found that I liked it, plus most guy's I knew didn't or couldn't grow one, so it was nice to be different. Most women I've met were just fine with it, and some liked it a lot. I only remember two women suggesting I shave it off. I keep it trim, a quarter inch or less. I wouldn't ask a woman to change her hairstyle for me, so I won't shave for her. She can either except me how I am or she can leave, I'm ok with either. | |

Almost all that you wrote could be also said about females growing older. With age some females tend to look more like Sonny and less like Cher!

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 6/21/2008 2:15:57 AM | | Have never cared for facial hair on men - particularly beards...make that 'staches too these days...just don't like the look | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 6/21/2008 2:34:51 AM | Hair rules.! If ya don't like facial hair - I guess you really just don't like men. It's a secondary sexual characteristic -right ? So not liking hair on a guy is like not liking tits on a chick. But, hey - to each his/her own. | |

I think a beard just gets in the way of a good kiss. I actually got a red rash on my chin from a night of heavy kissing. Had to do a lot of explaining on that one..
I totally have to agree. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to bring this up with my current boyfriend. He's wondering why I won't kiss him. I don't want to hurt his feelings or sound demanding, but I really do have a problem with sensative skin, so scratchy goatee/mustache is a no no.

I'm not lazy. It takes effort to shave around the goatee. EXACTLY!!!!
|
| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 6/26/2008 8:14:14 PM | Lazy? you have to tend to it and groom it all the time. You can mold it and shape it into different looks for different weeks. I had been shaving since middle school and I only this year got a job that would let me grow a good full beard. Most of my friends have facial hair and a lot of guys on this island do as well.
I am looking for a mature relationship so I will look mature. If I was chasing little girls around I would shave down to my baby face again.
If I was in a committed relationship and my girl friend asked me to shave it off, I would, but as long as I am single it is staying.

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 6/26/2008 9:29:38 PM | I love facial hair, i think it makes a man look more "manly" with a little bit of "bad boy" kinda thing.....yummmm and tattoos , even more yummmmm !! | |
|
| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 6/27/2008 6:03:40 AM | I don't shave that often because I just don't feel like it. I don't have to for my job, so I don't. Now if I'm going to out on a date or what not, of course I will. To me if I let it go more than a week or 2, it gets too itchy. I don't know how the "Rip-Van-Winkles" do it personally.
My brother-in-law has a very thick/heavy beard. He says he does it because he feels like he looks awkward/weird without it.

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 6/27/2008 1:18:40 PM | | Never had any complaints so why change when change is not necessary? | |
|
| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 6/27/2008 2:35:16 PM | I am lazy. As a result I'm saving up for laser hair removal so I never have to shave again.
I loathe my facial hair. It's not really just about being lazy. Some people's beards may be great. Mine is completely without redeeming virtue.

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 7/5/2008 3:52:01 PM | So Gals - Do you like beards? or don't you? Guys- What with the facial hair? Do you think it looks more "manly" ??
*****************************************************************************
It depends, for the most part I like a guy with a well trimmed mustache/beard/goatee but then again it depends on the man. It does tend to leave red marks on my skin though.

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 7/5/2008 3:59:04 PM | | Ive never had a girl complain about my beard, and thats over a 20 year period... | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 7/6/2008 1:59:29 AM | | I think it looks ok if it's grown out right. I think George Lucas looks ok with a beard. I think that facial hair looks manly. | |
|
| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 7/6/2008 5:17:13 AM | | I just grew mine back recently. You've reminded me I need to update my profile because I've decided the hairy fella's staying. Like a few people have already mentioned, I grew it on a whim and kept it because I think it looks good, not because it makes me look more "manly". | |

| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 7/9/2008 4:40:33 PM | | I'm bald with an over sized forehead, so my beard is my ballast, if I shave it off my head will tip over and fall off. | |
|
| Guys with facial hair. Posted: 7/9/2008 5:03:36 PM | Its basically this, far as I can tell.
I think all women deep down like beards. But how often does the average woman see a good beard?
Like a Bob Vila beard. They were big back in the 80s, werent they?
