| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/18/2008 8:08:13 PM | | I've been a clairvoyant for about 14 years. My personal belief is that "if someone doesn't currently understand.....they will come to understand at some point in his/her life time". When it first started happening (seeing spirit, having visions) it freaked me out big time. I tried to explain it to family members who thought I was losing it. And, I did lose some close friends over it. This forum couldn't begin to cover the true possibilities in our existence and time here on earth, but I hope you will someday come to know how amazing it is to communicate directly with our guides (mine call themselves "guards"), the angels that provide help to us and God, and the masters who sit around his throne and also direct the universe. Trust me, I know many people who are not truly psychic but have a need for attention, are just plain dishonest, etc. I have worked with other so-called psychics that really shocked me. But, real psychics do exist and do not take advantage of others. YOU, yourself have abilities if you work on it and call upon it to become a useful part of your life. A great way to begin is to utilize "automatic writing"....check out the internet on this topic. Being able to help others resolve conflicts and communicate with mothers, fathers, etc. who have passed on is one of the most beautiful and wondrous things that happens to me, and it still amazes me after all these years. | |

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/21/2008 9:06:13 AM | Authentic psychics / tarot readers / clarivoyants do not want the attention, point blank. And if you have power, are able to feel it through the living it makes you extremely careful about who you interact with. Knowledge is the key to all power and those of us that guard that knowledge take it seriously.
Just imagine if Hitler were able to call down power from a thunderstorm? Do you think we'd all be speaking German now? LOL...seriously, there are reasons why people who are authentic shy away from the general public when the talk of psychics, power and the occult come up.
Do you people have any idea how it feels to walk through a room of people and be able to pick up what they're thinking, how they feel, if there mother just died and their heart is aching? If they're about to get evicted and their ex-husband broke their jaw last nite?
Being psychic has a lot to do with energy, being able to feel it and trasnlate it back to whoever is asking you a question. For some we dont need anything but 10 seconds of your time and for others they use a focus such as tarot cards, runes, crystal balls.
And there are more than 1 type of psychic, we are not all the same and our abilities could be a canyon's distance apart. One person might be a touch psychic (meaning that whatever they physically come in contact with they can tell you everything about it, everyone who touched the object, what they were feeling) and the other might be need the tarot cards to divine information. There are no two psychics alike.
What you will never ever see is a wizard (or mage, magician, witch) say a spell to light up all the candles in walmart with you looking on. I mean really, what would you say? You would go running to security to say a psycho is on the loose and they would look at you all crazy like and then chalk up the candles to something other than what your eyes really saw.
As for psychics on info-mercials and the "10 Minutes for $.99" You get what you pay for huh? I don't think there is anything that burns up my soul like someone taking advantage of a fellow human that is obviously hurting and confused and giving them a bullsheyat answers.
How to look for good psychics:
(1) We wont ask you a lot of beginning questions. We already know whats troubling you but are sitting back thinking of the best way to phrase our answer.
(2) The charge will be reasonable. Money is a form of power, wearker than knowledge but power in its own right. We're not trying to get rich, we know where our blessings and fortune come from and its not in money.
(3) If your reading is over and you still seem perplexed we wont make you add money to your account to get the answer you so badly need. We'll just tell you.
(4) We wont claim to be 100% accurate, its impossible to be. All forms of divination rely upon whats happening RIGHT NOW, as things are at the moment. I see a lot of women asking if their ex's will come back and if so when. God, I want to slap them on the back of their neck when they ask it. But my point is if I were to flip the cards and ask the question right this second and the ex in question had decided he was coming back then the cards would say yes...now if 2 seconds later he changed his mind then my answer to her would be inaccurate, even though I read the cards correctly.
So your saying why didn't you see all that from the jump. Because thats not the root cause of the lady's issue. The ex in question is like a pebble thrown into the ocean. The real problem(s) rely within the woman who keeps clinging to azz licking men. Whether he comes back or not is not really the issue, its WHY this woman is hell bent on having her heart shattered to pieces.
Divination is like that. The querrant (person asking for the reading) may come in to ask about something trivia but the root issue pops up. As a reader I'd rather tackle what keeps ailing her opposed to giving her the pick 5 number for that evening. Ethics...look for an ethical man or woman. One that gives you the raw, un-cut, take no prisoners type answers. Because trust me, my gift does not rely upon your money whatsoever. But for people that are just after the money...they will tell you everything you want to hear PLUS some :-)

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/21/2008 10:59:45 AM | Psychic abilities are real, mine are untrained, therefore; I do not list my self as one. I see spirits, and at first I thought I was going nuts. So I went to a psychiatrist who said it common and called hypnogogia or hypnapompia experiences. I have also learned that up to 20 to 30 percent of the population experience this apparitions. Sleep studies should they occur during Alpha and Theta brain wave levels. Science,r however; call these experiences as hallucinations. Carl Jung split over ths theory with him mentor, Freud.
I have had lucid dreams, which have come true, and know sometimes when someone is going to die or has just died. I do not share this with many and I have been mistaken at times. Jung also taught people how to enter this state of consciousness, while awake. The ancient Hindi people reached this state of conscious by consuming a drug called Soma, the drink of the gods. I, also. believe many alien abductions occur while people are in this state of consciousness.
If you ever wonder if this has happen to you, ask yourself these things, "Have you ever had a feeling at night that a pet has jumped on the bed, only to wake up and find no pet near you. Have you ever felt someone touch you as you sleep, only to wake up and find no one is in your room."
People have moved away from spirituality due to religious beliefs, and science. If you can't measure it, see it, it is not real. Someday, hopefully, people will rediscover their brain power and learn how to use it.

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/25/2008 6:39:41 PM | I've done this and was quite impressed with the results
An experiment:
ideally you will need 3 people (which will be a bit hard as you are all loners sitting at home in front of your computer - I should stop now)
2 people will do.
person A writes down 10 simple shapes and 10 basic colours eg: red triangle, blue square, green circle, etc. use primary colours and simple shapes.
person A sits opposite person B holding their hands - they both close their eyes - person B tries to let their mind go blank, or as close as possible. person A concentrates on the first colour/shape combination. person B says what the shape and colour is. do this for the whole 10 shape/colour combination and record your results. Then swap.
When I did it as person A we got 8/10 as person B we got 6/10. not bad results. not proof of anything either. But I'm a believer, now.
and you can, if you want, record the results as how many colours you got right and how many shapes you got right. we didn't we just recorded the combinations we got right.

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/25/2008 7:01:06 PM | Well, I was a skeptic (but never dismissed it as impossible) until I met a real psychic and she really blew my mind. I only wish I could find her again. I met her through an acquaintance over 20 years ago.
She told me several very specific things about me that even the person who turned me onto her did not know. So I have to conclude there's a huge conspiracy behind shuffling information around to "get me" OR the phenomena is real.
Examples of things she told me (all of which are true).
1. She told me how many sisters I have (3). [Good guess? Maybe]
2. She told I came from New York. True [I have NO east coast accent. I was born on Long Island but my family moved to California when I was a year and a half old].
3. She told me what I did for a living. She was right. Good guess? Maybe.
4. She told me that I used to love to go to Mama Leone's Italian restaurant in NYC. This is where I thought I "got her" because, to my knowledge, I don't know the restaurant and also because of item #2. When I got home that night after the meeting, I called my then living mother who lived in Palm Springs. I asked her about Mama Leone's (before telling her about the psychic). She said "oh yeah. I used to love to go there when I was pregnant with you". Now THAT set the hairs on my neck straight out.
5. She told me that, in years to come, I would be working exclusively with someone living in the West Valley (she lived in the San Fernando Valley just north of L.A.). Well, 4 years ago, I started working exclusivelyl with a lawyer/musician friend of mine and we've been closely working ever since. He lives in Chatsworth (west valley).
6. She told me I had a comlicated puzzle ring and it was hanging on a hook in my kitchen. True. I wasn't wearing it that day but there IS indeed that two-toned gold puzzle ring and that's exactly where I'd left it that day. It was a birthday present from my ex wife. It's one of those Turkish wedding rings that Turkish women had to wear to show they belonged to someone. They would have to take it off if they wanted to "play around" but the problem was that, once taken apart, it was a booger to get back together. Took me a long time even after being shown how. But that's exactly where it was. I routinely took it off when I was washing dishes so it wouldn't fall into the garbage disposal.
Now these are very specific things and not vague generalizations one might expect from the average mind reader who is simply astute about people and can accurately read body language and come up with all kinds of things.
After the session, I asked her about her history. She said she grew up in the Palm Springs area and had her "gift" as a kid for as long as she could remember and she assumed everyone could do it. But as she grew up, she discovered otherwise and the fact that she had this "gift" really freaked out her friends growing up. It caused so many problems that her family had to move several times. It even reached the point that they were getting death threats.
She said it was her opinion that everyone has this innate ability but not many try to "tap into it" and/or develop it. But I have to say, she was the real deal and from then on, I simply had no problems accepting the phenomena as quite real. That's for the "for what it's worth" department. Make you your own minds.

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/26/2008 6:47:32 AM | Psychic ability is a definite.
It's been proven. Of course, not all "psychics" are legit. And not all psychic abilities have been proven, but many have.
I myself have had 3 or 4 "prophetic dreams". Now these weren't any incredible prophesies, but they were prophetic dreams nonetheless. Little events portrayed in a dream to me which then happened a day or two later, or something related very closely to the dream.
I am a remote viewer. Remote viewing has been long proven and is recently gaining in popularity. It's a trainable, learnable skill which allows ANYONE to gather accurate information on anything, anyone, anywhere, anywhen in the entire universe, past, present, future... It's very real, I practice it myself and am actually planning on teaching beginner level CRV (coordinate remote viewing) lessons in fall/winter of this year.
|
| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/26/2008 7:46:10 AM | | Remote viewing sounds cool. Does this ability enable you to watch the neighbours' TV and save on subscription charges? | |
|
| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/26/2008 1:43:27 PM | ahahahaha!!!
If only!
No CC, you can't watch your neighbors television but if you were good at it you may be able to figure out IF they were watching it and the general idea / feeling behind the television programme.

Psychic ability is a definite.
It's been proven. Of course, not all "psychics" are legit. And not all psychic abilities have been proven, but many have.
Respectfully, when you say things like this, you open yourself up for the worst kind of skeptical ridicule...
Now as for myself, like Alice I like to believe in three impossible things before breakfast and am very interested in remote viewing. I always found the incredibly prohibitive training fees that everyone was offering smelled pretty fishy and am aware of it's historical roots.
But if you have done your reading and I will assume you have, saying "it's proven" is really loaded...nothing in the way of psychic ability has been proven in a way any skeptical scientist would accept. There are some limited studies by people that would be considered fringy, some classified materials, and the rest is all smoke and mirrors.
And then of course there is the JREF and their dubious million dollar challenge...which in a way is surprisingly fair. Fair until someone discovers that skepticism by its very nature sets up a negative psi field that is exponentially more powerful the more people you add in near proximity (hmm that could be it?).
Really, could you name abilities and sources and documents that list "proven" psychic abilities? I mean not to p*ss on your salad...I entertain the possibilities but let's not all go and such.

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/26/2008 3:06:10 PM | | Most of them are fake in North America, the only ones that were accurate were the ones that didn't charge me a dime. My grandma and my father's friend read my palm, they didn't tell me everything. My father's friend was very accurate but he saw a lot of tribulations but also some good things, there was somethings that troubled him that he wouldn't tell me. That was more than 5 years ago and he has been very accurate. | |

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/26/2008 4:19:12 PM | Please give a definition of psychic !
We all know the average lifespan in the USA is something like 75- 80 years old If you're told """something""" by a """psychic"" does it have a expiration date ? Assume someone is told at age 25, does it have 50 years to come true ? If and when it does come true is it 1.) coincidence, or 2.) psychic prediction..????
We all do so many, many things in our 70 + years on this large planet ----how do we rule out the coincidence part of a psychic gettting one puzzle piece right ?
A non-believer in psychics and anything that doesn't sway the tables of probability more than 70- 80 % of the time, proving something other than coincidence played a role.
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut or is it that a blind nut gets eaten by a squirrel

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/26/2008 9:33:29 PM | | I believe everyone who draws breath has a sixth sense it is your conscience/subconscience. If you know in your heart somethings amiss or you get that feeling that its not quite right butterflies in the stomach its best to listen to it chances and odds are those feelings are valid and your body is telling what the mind already knows, bail, get out, leave its wrong or hey something isn't right here best take a closer look my friend. Like a calm before the storm and everyone has it they just need pay attention to detail ergo when you mind and body are saying so listen to them they are indeed the closest friends to value in your life for you shall never own another set. Everyone has also had the feeling of deje-vu, I think normal. The feeling of I have been here, I have done this I have seen this before well we have all had it. The feeling of something coming ahead that we cannot quite touch yet we already know. | |

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/27/2008 12:44:57 AM | I actually believe few people have the real ability to understand the unknowable while the rest who do it well are gifted with a great to an extreme amount of logic and common sense that allows them to pick up on things through observation of the littlest things that tells them alot of an individual. The smell of a certain scent on a person can give multiple facts. A single piece of jewelry or anything else can do the same thing for them. I personally have a gift for knowing (most of the time) who is calling my house phone when it rings. I would guess I have a 80 to 90% rate of being correct. If I am around a friend long enough bits of words and phrases I hear tell me when and how often a person calls them and why just by listening to what my friend says. I think anyone can develope what I do so easily. But then there are those times that unnerve me when in a doctor's office or waitng for an appointment I hear the recertionist's phone ring and I mutter loud enough for them to hear who it is. I really don't like those times at all. Knowing I knew who it was when all possibilities say I could not have known who it was shakes me up. | |

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/27/2008 10:15:44 AM | | I know there was an 84 year old woman who made the news because she was so sure she had the winning lottery numbers that she bought 2 tickets and won 12 of the 16 million to be won. I never really looked into the validity of this one though, I just remember it being all over the news. The egyptian pyramids accurately predicted many events like world war 1 and 2, wasn't it nostradomas who predicted the fall of the towers in york? I find that keeping your psychic abilities a secret shows that you're yeilding to the negative forces out there. It's a good idea to keep it out of your work life, and be cautious within your family, but don't worry about what people think of it because everyone will ridicule what they don't understand. Do I believe in the psychic phenomenon? only after I realized that I was one; otherwise it would still be utter ludacris to me. I am a master of timing, I have a parking spot only when I 'need' one, and if it wasn't for all the sociopaths out there I might not have such a heavy heart. | |

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/27/2008 6:04:55 PM |
wasn't it nostradomas who predicted the fall of the towers in york?
No. This was a deliberately created hoax quatrain made just to show how easily taken in people can be by them and read whatever they want into his prophecies ...seems like it worked too well.
http://www.snopes.com/rumors/nostradamus.asp
As to predictions based on the pyramids...same deal. Post hoc rationalization can make something "seem" like a prophecy. I have seen very very few examples of prophecy that make any actual detailed claims of anything.
Tell me why it is that when we choose to examine the possibility of their being psi type phenomenon that we have to do it uncritically with our brains left at the door and without our reasoning faculties, hmm? Do we suddenly stop asking for real evidence just to make ourselves feel better, warm and fuzzy? I woudn't do it with organized religion and I surely won't do it here.
This has not stopped me from directly experiencing things that I cannot immediately explain... but do we have to run headlong into the arguments from ignorance or worse buying any bill of crap goods that comes up the pike?
I'm getting an angel reading right now...the angel says
PSST! Don't believe everything you read or hear, especially on the internet...because a lot of it is grade Z bullsh*t.

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/28/2008 4:59:35 AM | | That nostradamus thing got blown way out of porportion. if it was supposed to be 1999 and not 2001 it shouldn't have even been acknowleged. I saw that whole pyramid thing on the discovery channel and they went into some detail on it, I can't find much on the net right now, perhaps I'll run across that show again. people don't have to be critical of psy phenomenon, or religeon/god as a whole, they do however need to use their brains. The internet is full of missinformation, but it's free information and easily accessible so use your brain and find the diamonds in the sand, discard the rest. | |
|
| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/28/2008 7:19:12 AM | | I have never really met a psychic that I was impressed with. Granted, I only talked to three who claimed to psychics, and it would be easier to believe if I met someone who actually had something substantial to say, be able to reveal something that I would have no idea how he or she knew it. It doesn't mean I don't believe in psychics. I do. However, I am not focused on such things. I am more into my spiritual development as a person rather than psychic powers. I don't need to know the future. It might be a curious thing to have a glimpse, I will admit. | |
|
| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/28/2008 9:57:55 AM | I believe in psychic ability and I do believe that each of us have it. Haven't you ever felt something before it happened. Or you've had a deja-vu all these things are signs and maybe even warnings. I have gone to see many readers who have in fact predicted things before they actually happened.
I do believe in angels as well has ghosts....what is your opinion?
|
| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/28/2008 9:58:53 AM | Yes, it was nostradamus whom made that predict. Along with that tid-bit the world thinks george "W" is the third man in power who will put the wheels in motion for the end of all things "armeggedon". Other predicts of note from our dear friend nostradamus: the invention of the motorcycle (men riding on the backs of iron horses), The birth of hitler, The death of kennedy ect that in alot of eyes did indeed come to pass as he predicted. Huge coincidence, maybe but maybe not. If the third great war happens well call me a true blue believer! | |

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/28/2008 10:16:16 AM | QUOTE: What is your opinion on psychic ability? Have you ever had a psychic experience? Do you think we all have it or not? If you have, what happened? Some people go to psychics for predictions on their love lives, what do you think of that? Are you aware that the police use psychics on a regular basis but do not advertise it?
^^ I've heard of police using psychics on particularly difficult cases, and what-not, but I have no clue what their success rate is. Why not get one (if they never have yet) for cold cases such as that Natalie Holloway girl, from Alabama? It's worth a try if nothing else. I do not think we all have it, no. I have never had an experience with it myself either. As far as opinion on psychic ability I think some may have something "more" to a degree, call it even heightened intuition or something like that, or, possibly a "connection" between two people perhaps, but I'm not a 100% sold believer that one can just sit down with a total stranger who can read your mind, tell your future or ....etc. Would I go to a "good" one? Probably try it, yes. I don't think a guy like that John Edward on the "Cross Country" show (who claims to act as a sort of psychic medium for peoples' dead relatives) is completely legit however. I think he primarily uses well-honed borderline "carny" type skills such as cold reading , "shotgunning", etc. I don't believe anyone can "speak to the dead" personally, basically because there's nothing left to "speak" to. But that's just my feeling.

Ingo...the "father of modern Remote viewing".

Hell, read up on Courtney Brown, Admiral Stubblebine, Joe Monteagle....even "Dr Doom"....AKA "Head Games"...um Ed Dames was recently proven correct about the fungus that is destroying 1/4 of the wheat crops worldwide.
Better yet, check into Physics.... which as of late supports this. Ya might want to read "The Physics of Consciousness" for a primer.

| Psychic Ability...Are U a Believer? Posted: 4/28/2008 4:59:13 PM | Thanks to the guy who posted about Ingo Swann, Hal Puthoff, Russel Targ, Courtney Brown, Ed Dames, Lyn Buchanan, Mel Riley, Joe McMoneagle and the list goes on.
Remote viewing has been proven over and over and over and over again.
so has other psi experiments. Check out the ganzfeild (sp?) experiments.
I suggest reading "Entangled Minds" by Dean Radin to see the scientific proof of psi.
I know for a fact that remote viewing has been proven because I have learned it, I practice it, and it works for me "all the time".. I dont mean every time when I say that, but about 80% of the time in practice sessions. Real life situations are a little more difficult to use RV, but it's doable. One of my instructors won the lottery last year with remote viewing.. The US Powerball with his group of RVers but it was also a 9 way win, so after taxes, splitting it 9 ways and then dividing that portion up between his 4 person Lottery RV group they only ended up with a few thousand each, but still it was a win. They consistantly hit 4 out of 6 numbers on lottos very often.
It's a very real phenomenon and everyone can learn to use it.

Why do you need a new study when the old ones are just as good? Sure a new study would be great im sure there are some going on, lets find them.
but the old studies have still shown some important stuff..
now for the kind of psychics that most people think about when they hear the word, I'd like to see some of that be studied.

seriously, there are reasons why people who are authentic shy away from the general public when the talk of psychics, power and the occult come up. Perhaps that reason is they've been debunked / proven to be a fraud every-single-time & without exception.
Are you aware that the police use psychics on a regular basis but do not advertise it? The FBI even funded the efforts of psychics & remote viewers for a while. They terminated the program after finding it wasn't successful. More evidence that it just doesn't work. If it worked, there would be instant legitimacy, and people would embrace it.
I'm sure Law Enforcement Officers also use prayer, and good luck charms. But, at the end of the day, it's good police work that solves crimes.
