| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 8:11:17 AM | i used to let my dog sleep at the foot of my bed ... but since i have all new bedding, i won't let her... & if i had a S/O & they objected i would have stopped my dog ... nobody should have to sleep with a pet if they don't want too... after all put a white blanket/sheet on your bed & see how dirty it gets from even a clean pet | |

| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 8:16:41 AM | This is a tough one for me! My cat sleeps curled up next to me (on top of the covers) EVERY night. During the day he sleeps on my bed (I leave the radio on for him whilst I'm at work). When I'm on the couch, he's there too laying across my body. Ive been on the couch with a fella and kitty has tried to intervene but as yet I haven't experienced the bed issue When and IF that should ever occur, kitty would have to sleep on the couch. I couldn't live with myself if he got squashed. | |

You also get my overgrown black and white tom cat and my gigantic yellow lab... my cat is my baby, he always sleeps with me, the dog... he's not allowed to sleep in my bed, but I started the bad habit when I lived with my ex boyfriend(he worked nights) and Spencer got to sleep with me when he was gone... the dog has since stopped sleeping in my bed, but my cat... he's too big of a spoiled baby for me to tell him he can't sleep with me!

Never trust someone that isn't close to their pets. We both had pets that slept on our beds before we met, and they still do it now. Its a very warm and comfy feeling to have them close.
Amen to that!
I can't even be friends with someone who does not like pets. Pets are so much better than people. They are loyal, loving, forgiving, affectioate, and most of all they are there for you when you need a friend. If your sad they are there if your scared they are there if you lonely they are there if you want to play they will play if you want to snuggle they snuggle. My dog is 4 lbs and sleeps under the covers. I would rather her sleep there than some uptight animal hater who thinks a little fur is going to kill them lol. Don't own an animal unless you intend to love it completely.

| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 8:43:26 AM | My little calico sleeps with me every night. She usually sleeps on top of my legs. Sometimes she prefers to be under the bed. She likes to be nearby.
I don't see her ever being a problem for any woman in my life.

| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 8:48:55 AM | | I had a cat when my ex and I first got together. We nicknamed her "The Chaperone" because if we started cuddling and kissing she would walk up and plop down right between us. LOL :) | |

| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 8:50:23 AM | junipermoon - I have a persian cat that does the same thing. I swear that cat never sleeps! I wake up in the middle of the night to these hugh green eyes staring at me...kinda spooky.
I also have a 4 lb yorkie that sleeps under the covers on my bed.
If I ever have a sleepover...the cat runs and hides, the dog...well I leave him at the office....
I do live by the old adage...love me, love my pets!!!

| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 8:50:40 AM | Package deal is right. There could be up to 3 cats, possibly a bunny and every once in a while a Siberian Husky on this bed. Deal with it. Non-animal people (= those who think my furry family members are 'gross' or 'belong outside', etc.) are not to be trusted anyway. They're the ones who belong outside. | |

| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 8:59:23 AM | Thank you for that sentiment. I have 2 Boston Terriers that sleep with me every night and I dont give one obese rodents anal orifice if somebody doesnt like it. Those two little guys are my friends, I rescued them, I take care of them and everybody in town that knows how I feel about my boys knows that THEY eat and live better than most pets and even some humans. If somebody does not like animals and mine in particular, you probably dont want me anyway. They dont hurt anything and there is nobody else there 99.9% of the time to **** anyway. | |

after all put a white blanket/sheet on your bed & see how dirty it gets from even a clean pet
and "clean" humans dont leave a mess on the clean white sheets from time to time?? thats why we have washing machines!!! lighten up!!
No one can love you like your pets can, and they deserve your best!!
P.S. Dirsup...Good for you for rescuing those two babies!!

| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 9:24:29 AM | I have cats and one of them sleeps on the bed. Sometimes she moves elsewhere during the nite. If he was allergic then I might consider shutting them out of the bedroom. However, i seriously doubt I would date a guy who was allergic to cats.
And no, I wouldnt dump him, I'd just direct him to the spare room!!
|
| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 9:25:34 AM | | haha I couldnt agree more. I would never date someone who was not an animal lover. | |

i used to let my dog sleep at the foot of my bed ... but since i have all new bedding, i won't let her... .....So what's NEW bedding got to do with it? Once you wash your NEW bedding it becomes used bedding. Geez if you put NEW bedding before loyalty then it goes to show just how materialistic you are.

No trade backs! At least the roo will sleep in the back yard!

| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 10:37:29 AM | Can you imagine a pet who has ALWAYS been sleeping on her bed and then...I show up. The question is not whethr I would like it....but whether the pet will ALLOW ME to be in the same bed as it and the girl I am with! Who knows...the pet may bite me hard enough or scratch me gently at nights to wake me up purposely...or sleep on top of me and pee!
I love animals though and can't see it as being a problem unless when I am making love. No LIVING eyes are watching me make love to my girl. That is freakish...who knows what the pet is thinking!
|
| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 10:40:57 AM | | My little brown tabby sleeps where she wants - mostly on the bed, sometimes not. If that's a problem for anyone they can buy me a bigger condo that's not open plan. Besides I like it when she's all snuggly and purry. | |
|
| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 10:58:29 AM | Sometimes a man can become a pet person, sometimes they can't. I find it much nicer, easier, more pleasant, loads of fun and cozy to have pets in or out of any room in the house. Why not in bed? I love to be purrrrred to sleep. Thankfully my friend has and loves cats. I get to babysit!!
The only time the two kittens are kicked out of the bedroom is when they run full speed and over our heads chasing each other. Heads are off limit. Generally that's their breakfast hour, but on a non work day.

| Pets in Bed Posted: 10/16/2007 11:00:15 AM | My schitz/poodle sleeps on my bed every night, sometimes at my head or sometimes at the foot.. He is my buddy!
I have a 19 lb cat, and he is too big to jump on the bed, but he has his own bed in the bedroom.
