Soul of the Nation

Soul of the Nation

This poem is for you
Please read and digest
These words may help you
To realise that you are the best
One of the many
Yet one so few
How many others do you know
Who are just like you
This poem is for all
Those insignificant others
Who the State has ignored
Because we are too much bother
These words are to say
That you are so unique
You are an individual
That makes you the elite
Not to be disparaged
Or ignored by the State
As a figure of ridicule
Who the Political Elite hate
No pious words
Will I say to you
I don't look for your vote
So what I say is all true
It's you, the individual
Who are the building block of our nation
Without us common people
There is no civilisation
You, yes you
I tell you this straight
The individual is the one thing
The Politically Elite hate
Your uniqueness
Makes you a unknown quanity
They need to disarm you
Remove you free thinking sanity
They want to gell us
Into an amorphous whole
With a corporate identity
No individual soul
To become a mechanism
Of the state machine
A wheel, a cog
Part of their team
They don't want you free thinking
With your own private views
They need you to vote
Need you to choose
Irrespective if no choice
Is actually on offer
They need you and I
To pay into their coffers
We, the little people
Who they casually denegrate
Mouth pious platitudes
Then us berate
Don't you be fooled
You are not just a number
You are a sleeping giant
Just quietly in slumper
Soon the time will come
When they push us to far
Those bastrads that drive around
In their chauffeur driven cars
Then when you awake
And you discover your voice
You let them feel
The wrath of your choice
Next time the minions
In the state machine
Treat you like an imbicile
Something unclean
You remember
Your position and your station
You are the building block
The soul of the nation
You and I
Lend them their temporary authority
But don't you let those bastrads
Treat you with inferiority

Straws and Camels

Straws and Camels

Minor disagreements
When multiplied by so many times
Magnify the trivial problem
Hence intensity rhymes
Wrong to think
That partnerships dissolve
Because of intense disgreements
Causing a lack of resolve
Few are the examples
When infidelity or crime
Have prompted a partner
To actually call time
Insidious minor infractions
On a daily base
These are the causes
Of partnerships going to waste
So many pleadings
So many requests
Always ignored
Cause the other knows best
Civil conversations
Leading to dispute
Day in, day daily
The other half refutes
Your request is ignored
Your agony is dismissed
Minor infractions
Daily get you pissed
You start to make threats
You then lose your cool
Why have to resorted
To acting like a fool
Each infraction
Each ignored request
Intensifies expotentially
Your obvious distress
Can the other half not see
Your agony, your pain
He is totally oblivious
Has he no fcuking shame
You think to yourself
Why do I resort to this behaviour
You may even get down
And plead to your Saviour
You then relent
You finally give in
Your energy is sapped
You let the other half win
Feeling disconsolate
Feeling let down
You still feel so aggrieved
Promises of love, commitments deceived
So minor a task
Is all you have asked
But the lazy fcuker
Won't get of his ass*
The silence mounts up
Like a volcano it errupts
You can't take any more
He can go pack his stuff
So finally you reflect
On sayings of old
Remembering that wise words
Are enamelled in gold
It wasn't anything monumentus
That your partnership wrecked
But that final last straw
That broke the camel's strong back

Now son get your bloody bedroom tidied!

Hypocritical Bastrads

Hypocritical bastrads
I listen to you preach
Words of great wisdow
You wish to impart and teach
You want to live
My life for me
Cause I'm a pleb
And you lot all see
These last few weeks
I've heard you pontificate
Now I dispise you
You are objects of hate
Not for your message
Your message I don't mind
But because you are all fcuking hypocrits
Of the worst possible kind
The message you preach
For a start is not thine
You jumped on the band wagon
As your star stopped to shine
Sting and Bono
Geldoff and Blair
Fcuk off back into you mansions
Get out of my hair
I have seen the size
Of your stately piles
How dare you lecture me
About carbon miles
You're arrogance is breath tahing
You self appointed goons
A bunch of fcuking wasters
To be locked up with the loons
They stick a camera
In front of your face
Then you start to lecture
From your arse you spread waste
So bloody two faced
That's my objection
Numerous more times
Do you cause carbon infection
You insist
I should reduce
This and that
Save the planet
Must be my lot
Then I look at the size
Of your big shitty feet
You the great
The good and the elite
Carbon footprints
From you private jets
You're millions of air miles
Your numberous pets
Mansions with rooms
Everyone lit up
When no bodies at home
Gone on fcuk up
You castigate
The oridinary man in the street
For his two weeks in Benidorm
You are full of conceit
Get of your soapbox
Crawl back into your hole
Youv'e made your millions
Save your own soul
If your life is such a waste
Save your own soul not mine
You go to the Ritz
You wine and dine
Driven in chauffeured cars
You don't pedal by bike
Gone on, piss off
Take a fcuking hike

Apparently the American politicans have debates
An old fashioned notion long out of date
They read their scripts
From inside their crypts
Then they pretend to be everyones mate

The autocue is an essential feature
The obligatory tool of every political creature
They read their lines
Cause they have no minds
Then they thank the Lord and their childhood preacher

Still who will we have to continually criticise
If it were not for those poor political guys
We would have to fight over God
Like the Catholic and Prod
And I think the politicians tell more lies!

do you really believe
they fought over God?
i'm just a dumb Yank
but I thought the auld sod
had a war economic
where the haves and have nots
wrestled for righteous
belief in their cause...
well, that was my take on the
troubles up north
had relatives die
when a bomb did burst forth
on innocent children
playing outside a pub
where inside the murderers
with whiskey in mug
toasted the death of
the innocents blood
both sides were wrong
and no one did win
the hatred still festers
under everyone's skin.

Conundrum

Conundrum

The working class man
Doesn't like your face
He walks up and smacks you
He's a real disgrace
The naughty child
Plays up the hard pressed mum
She loses the rag
Smacks the young kid's bum
Such uncivilised beings
Using brute force
Totally unsophisticated
So very course
Not in the same league
As the sophisticate
Who incites others
To stir up hate
Who hasn't the balls
To say what he thinks
Even though he hates you
And he thinks you stink
He'll spread false rumours
He'll tell devious lies
Then he'll smile to your face
He's so worldly wise
Then there's the liberal mum
Who decides that a smake on the bottom
Is not very PC
And she doesn't want to feel rotten
So she'll ground the spoilt brat
For a day or a week
When the kid really asked for
A kick up the seat
Who is right
Who is wrong
I don't know
So I wrote you this song

Another Fcuking Essay
(Or how to bring about a civil war in three easy steps)

Imagine if your will
No, I think your must
For this message
Believe me, please have trust
Something which happened
Can happen to you
Please believe me
I honestly speak true
I write to warn you
I write so you will learn
From mistakes of others
You can discern
What I say
I happening today
Pick up the newspapers
See what I say
Impossible you gasp
It's can't happen here
Listen, read on
Tremble and fear
A nation divided
By an historical past
Minor problems and tensions
Always a blast from the past
The working classes
On both sides of the divide
Allege grievances
They are always on one side
Ironic such grievances
As both working classes were impoverished
The middle classes where never
Anywhere undernourished
The difference could be religion
It could also be class
It could be culture or creed
Or as in India it could be caste
Dynamics takes over
Population begins
A majority and a minority
Neither side will win
The minorty increases
It's poplation expands
From natural birth
Or immigration demands
The minority empowered
Demand new rights
They might even pursue these
Albeit with a fight
New rights equates
To government funds
You give to one side
You take away from one
The majority population
Not maliciously unjust
But at all times under pressure
Hold onto power they must
Feeling under threat
For the existing way of life
They make life difficult
Cause the minority strife
Ironically
If you can comphrend
Two sides goes to war
Both sides to defend
Neither to attack
The other ones station
But both fight to save
Their part of the nation
Differences are several
But relatively inconsequential
It may be religion
Or cultural differential
Even religious difference
As an excuse is lame
Cause all religions
Have a common end game
So two different sides
Within anyone nation
Can very easily
Commence a
Conflagration
Both claiming right
Neither one wrong
But people die
In this bitter sweet song
Positions get entrenched
The just get dismayed
Even the warriors
Start to feel betrayed
At the onset
An honourable war
Despite the blood
The guts and the gore
As the battle commences
Something else takes control
So much so
It will never ever let go
Altrusim
And nobel intentions
Gradually give way
To man's devious inventions
A minor squabble
Intensified by deliberation
Why, because
Of greed and manipulation
New power bases develop
On both opposing sides
Powerful people
Make money as people die
"Armies" are created
To fight for the cause
That includes racketeers
Drugs and breaking laws
The parasiticial bastrads
Who each other hate
Work together
To control the state
One terrorist group
Relies totally on the other
For their common existance
Both enemies are brothers
Two minority grouping
Like two rag-tag mafiosos
Can when it suits them
The situation explode
They protect their empires
They protect their lairs
Recruit young innocents
Who are caught unawares
Come fight for your country
Come fight for your cause
Running drugs and contrabane
Are not really flaws
We need to extort money
To purchase guns for freedom
And if you go to prision
Your family we will feed them
So arising from
An historical dispute
The tension is escalated
The terrorist then wear suits
They control large empires
They buy political favours
Some even claim in-roads
To Jesus as their Saviour
The situation is expanded
Cause the rewards are so high
Many paramilitaries get wealthy
As the innocent die
Terrorists see
As their ultimate gold
Positions of power
Ministerial positions to be sold
War can be silenced
It can be purchased to
Just like any commodity
Governments have construed
A period of stability is needed
A secret agenda
To establish what is required
From each terroirst offender
A "Peace Process" is established
They bring in adjudicators
Give them titles
Like international mediators
The process is a lie
The game is deceptive
How much shall we pay you
To stop holding the nation captive
Tell us your price
Let us consider
Peace at any price
Government's won't dither
The ultimate price
Is to sell out democracy
By allowing terrorists to function
In some mafio meritocracy
The guns are laid silent
Victory is announced
Guns are handed in
Normalacy is pronouced
The terrorist machine
Is only partially diminished
But the terrorist has not gone away
He will never be finished
To publish such a letter
To publish such disgreement
Is sufficient believe me
To lead to bereavement
So please take note
That the scenario painted
Is not one sided
It is not personally tainted
This series of events
Could happened anywhere
Indeed from my reading
Several countries please beware
Where a minoirty is in existance
Which could easily expand
Where a majority lives
But is fearful for their land
When minor differences in religion
In culture and creed
Are cause for minor disagreement
Resentment can breed
So a war of liberation
Is started without end
On both sides men of honour
Are called to defend
A war without end
None will ever comprehend
Thereafter the Godfathers
You will always have to befriend
The seeds of destruction
Are ripe if not growing
In numerous lands
The seeds are now sowing
Current problems in Italy
Disruption and riots in France
Zimbabwe and South Africa
Hold us in a trance
Tibet and India
May have their troubles soon
The Sudan is an example
How problems can balloon
Riots in Australia
Malysia is unstable
Several large English cities
Know this is no fable
The Balkans a powederkeg
At the best of times
Even America better heed
This rhyme

warning well worth
the extended read
all that you write about
certainly is here across the sea
the racial unrest is always a-simmer
just waiting for one spark
to set off a blazing glimmer
In New York City quite recently
3 cops got off, declared not quilty
for shooting to death unarmed black men
over and over and over again
outrageous amounts of bullets were spent
killing kids celebrating a wedding event
now Reverand Al Sharpton, with mouth like a banshee
has to get the community riled into a frenzy
and constantly all over this melting pot nation
the hatred for immigrants is a constant frustration
what is the answer?
what can we do?
well, i try to remember my ancestor's view
the irish that came here after the famine
were hated, reviled as much as a black man
but we became the backbone of a new nation
our achievements were mighty, without cessation
right up to the presidency we did achieve
we've never taken for granted our liberty
we must see past all the differences
and see the worth in each Torres and Vasquez
each Kim and Lee, every Mao refugee
those from the Phillipines across the sea
every human from every nation
has a right to work hard and build a foundation
we MUST stop looking at the things that are different
and find common ground to a greater extent
inside we're the same, have the same hopes and dreams
tolerance must be our major theme.

What to do
Posted: 6/1/2008 10:17:01 AM
What to do

What to do
What to do
What's the world
And me and you to do
Death and destruction
Ad-infinitum
Kids need drugs
Just to excite them
Muggings, beatings, shootings
On our city streets
Nothing much done
Unless it touches the elite
What to do
What to do
Get angry or hide
What say you
Reclaim the streets
The silent majority
Civilised man
He's not in the minority?
Pack up, move out
Kith and kin
Move to the country
Start over again
Run away and hide
Leave the savages to themselves
Let the cities
Turn into living hells
What to do
What to do
Return to religion
Cause Jesus loves you
Go out
Bare witness
Turn the other cheek
Preach love and salvation
To those you meet
Join a church
The Salvation Army
Who cares if the rest
Think you are barmey
Say a prayer
Get down on your knees
Perhaps the mugger when he robs you
Might just say please
What to do
What to do
Protect and survive
Get yourself armed
Try to stay alive
Meet fire with fire
No mercy to be shown
Protect your family
The seeds you have sown
Or else
Sit at the computer
Write stupid moranic rhymes
And pretent to all others
You keep up with the times
So I write rhymes
Cause they won't give me a gun
For in Northern Ireland
They decommissioned every one!

Meritocratic republic

Meritocratic Republic

Do what you are told
Do what they say
The Executive in Britain
Shall have its own way
Democracy is dead
The institutions destroyed
The UK is governed
By just a few of the boys
Destroy all resistance
Eliminate criticism
All in the persuit
Of corrupting eliticism
Debase the civil service
Treat men with distain
If someone disagrees
Unemployment is the game
Usurp the independence
Of once honest men
Enticed by knighthoods
From their Executive friends
Seduce the media
Ensure their cooperation
Offer them positions
As advisers to the nation
Force the security services
To dishonour their code
To manipluate information
When nuclear armaments will explode
Threaten and dishonour
The laws of the land
Now the Attorney General
Is an Executive fan
Eliminate all resistance
Take total control
Create a meritocracy
The utimate goal
Who cares if the voters
Are disaffected and disengaged
What can the disenfranchised do
When they are all enslaved
Positions secured
Bring in family and friends
Ensure that you dominance
Never comes to an end
Carry on the pretence
That you serve only the public
When in effect you have created
Your own Meritocratic Republic

The door
Posted: 6/1/2008 2:00:15 PM
The Door

No doors were locked
My heart remained open
It was I fear
Just a gesture, a token
Partnership dissolved
Time together at an end
It was for sure
A time without a friend
The end had arrived
Forseen but without malice
We love and drink sometimes
From a poison chalice
I never once
With you had sex
Strange that concept
Of having respect
Nor did I ever
Make love to you
We made love together
As two lovers should do
Minds entangled
Bodies entwined
Two souls harnessed
Hearts combined
Contentment and trust
Surprise and elation
Our personal dance
A joint creation
Energetic movement
Slow penetration
Gasping for air
Heat generation
Unique the experience
Satisfaction sublime
Rhythm and bodies
United in time
Memories deliberately
Recessed in my mind
Easier to forget
Than to continually play rewind
The door is again closed
Never locked or secured
I open it occasionally
Just to make sure
It actually happened
Not a dream or a vision
The door is again closed
To prevent personal derision

all is part of the ebb and flow
so much is not forever
this much i do certainly know
most attitudes are "whatever"
just keep your door a bit ajar
it's summer and surely some blossom
will take root in your true heart
and i bet she'll be most awesome!

you did say songs of hate right????

ooie-gooie
icky-cooie
lovie-dovie
smoochie-douchie
you and i will never be
friends in this infernal sea
around here there's
a double standard
and certain districts
are gerrymandered
to accommodate only gits who think
their shite don’t stink
they’re such perfection
and you better toe
the party line
be syrupy sweet
and always so kind
well at least in public
but off the forum we see
your hissing tongue
makes you just like we
so shut the fvckk up
lovie dovie cooie babies
cause if we got any closer
from you we’d catch rabies

One prepared yesterday

One prepared yesterday

Hippocrates swore
It was no oath
Julius Ceaser
He too had stunted growth
Here today
Gone tomorrow
Man would forever
Wail in sorrow
So the search
For the holy grail
Science and medicine
Go way beyond the pale
Old wives tales
Of which many are legend
All sorts of concoctions
Some derived from pideons
Now the answer
May be soon at hand
The answer is in DNA
With Trichology man
Cell rejuvination
With dermal papilla injections
Maybe the answer
To older men's rejections
Luscious locks
Will again be in style
Like the old courts of Europe
Men will again smile
Golden hair
In tassels and bows
No more shiny pates
No more bald glows
Now the elixer
That science has sought
Is near at hand
And can soon be bought
No more Yul Bremmers
No Kojaks with lollies
Just hairy men
Out to get their jollies
I can throw out my toupee
Dispense with drugs
Now girls' soothing fingers
Can slide over my rug
Now old craggy men
Perhaps ninety five or ninety six
With long curly ringlets
Out crusing for sex
Who cares a toss
About stem cell research
Or mixed pig embryos
Or the views of the church
Now once again
Not just mystical stories
But now there is hope
For old bald crowning glories

Love and Hate

I hate to love and I love to hate,
Something tells me I'm not gettin this straight,
If I learned how to love it just might be great,
I might even quit hating and I might get a date!

I like to go out and I have lotsa fun,
When the night is here and my day is done.
That's when love and hate are gonna take me away,
Who thought of this subject for a thread anyway?

Right back at ya Len!!!!

Leonards to blame,
Ain't it a shame,
He once was stranger,
now I know him by name.

I don't know why I'm carryin on this way,
I'll be different tomorrow...not quite the same,
It must be that woman ...the one with the red blouse,
Here...have a cold one Leonard...it's on the house!

but ever loyal faithful moon

what lies beneath the constant moon
but comrade stars to light the way

what lies beneath the vigilant star

what lies beneath this one man's thread
