It was about censorship... and well obviously 7 people clicked to have it deleted even though there really wasn't anything offending or bad about it. This is a smaller community in this particular section from what I've seen... I think it's pretty safe to assume that those that clicked on Delete knew who he was and had some personal motivation in doing so, that's the part that irks me. There was nothing "bad" about his post. Whether you like or dislike a person is not a reason to try and prevent them from speaking or sharing with a community. | |

Posted: 11/4/2007 5:45:46 AM | The worst pics ever are the group photos that make you play "Where's Waldo" to figure out who the profile belongs to. There are three women here, all near me, that are apparently joined at the purse. The three of them all have the same group photo, and ONLY the same group photo, on their profile. 4 women in the photo, posted on 3 profiles, so it's pretty much a crap shoot when trying to decide to whom the profile belongs.
My bigger issue is the Glamour Shot thing. You'll never look like that again unless you have the makeup and lighting guys on retainer. That is SO misleading.... Although that comes from a guy who once went to Glamour Shots and was turned down because they aid they needed at least SOMETHING to work with.... | |

Dunno but I believe that is copyrighted material & illegal to post public, could be wrong but I used to be in the printing industry.
I enjoy those anyway, but they are so phony... nothing better than have a real woman wake up next to you without makeup! | |

The part that is protected when you get a photograph like that made is the reproduction of the image. To the best of my knowledge scanning in the image and displaying it is not illegal and does not infringe on royalties from prints. | |

Posted: 11/6/2007 6:49:40 AM | I always needed a copyright release or a blanket release from the photographer in order to print, unless the picture was greater than 70 years old, though we made it a rule for around 40 years old, since it likely would be impossible to get a release.
Hmm though on some of the hobbiest boards, we can't post or repost any pictures from the manufactures, the picture has to be taken by us.... & then we may copyright it so it isn't used on another site, though most of us don't mind.
I had some pictures I took published in a monthly entertainment tabloid in the Oakland/SF area back in the late 80's, what irked me was I never even got a photo credit for these. | |
