Ah the 80's! I still love the music and listen to it all of the time, though the 80's hair is LONG gone. What a fun time that was!

Wow, that is a loaded question. The eighties to me were spent in high school learning the new fangled devices called computers, playing football, going to after football parties, rolling up the legs of my way to tight jeans, sporting a nice long hair style, getting that ear pierced, skinny skateboards, mongoose bicycles, AMC's were still a legitimate type of vehicle, dating was dating (probably the same as it is now in high school except they are probably more savvy to adult things than I was back then), and of course the ladies. Lita Ford, Daisy Duke, Pat Benatar, Madonna, oh the fantasies...I think the eighties were good to me so I would say Hot. Now the nineties on the other hand...

I was a 1980s teenager (born in 1969), and it was awesome. :)

MTV with all music videos (none of today's crap); neon clothing; big hair; etc.

I loved the 1980s. :) Fun times for teenagers. ;)

I'm glad someone finally mentioned Lita ford, but what about Joan Jett, Heart... It wasn't just the guys that had the cool bands. Though I can remember trying so so hard to look like the guitarist from Poison to impress a girl...cringe!
The 80's rocked, then and now, that's all there is to it.

80's was cool with the Sitcoms "Who's The Boss" "Three's Company" Maxheadroom was cool too. The music was great and pro sports became looked upon by fans as a business.

i was a teen in the late 80's...loved it then and love it now...although my image has changed a little (very little...mainly just the fact i dont have a mullet now) I am and always will be an 80's girl with a fetish for long haired men!!! the 80's ruled and my 16 year old son was born a couple decades too late...according to him...the 80's rocked.

The '80s: Music, definitely. Not the hair bands, but stuff like Peter Gabriel, Tears For Fears, Bruce Hornsby, U2, The Fixx, and many others.

Movies: a lot of them....but every decade has it's ups and downs. A bunch of good ones, and a bunch of crap. Movies would get edgier and smarter in the '90s, but less fun.

Clothes- errrr, except for the high-end men's stuff, not so good here. I don't miss parachute pants and girls walking around in day-glo colors. Not as bad as the '70s though.

Hair- just some terrible mistakes. Wasn't the mullet born in this decade?

I love everything about the 80's. But it is the past. Though fashion styles do tend to come around, maybe not exactly the same but with hints. All these leggings that became the rage among teens reminds me so much. And the big colorful plastic jewelry another blast from the past.

And the best concert ever put together. Live Aid...Now that was an event.

I don't miss going through a bottle of Sebastian's Spritz Forte every month nor the time I spent on nurturing my big hair.

When I got married in the early nineties my now ex, still had a pony tail. My teenage kids got to where they are now listening to Adam Ant, Culture Club, Kate Bush, etc. they still do. Now it is coming back, the tight jeans woth the dangling belt, and the boys in my older daughters class are just finding out about Ozzie, Guns n' Roses, Journey, Metallica, and Queen. They are always surprised to find out she knows who these people/ groups are, then they think she is cool because she will get them into another 80's group. They are even having 80's day at school in a couple of weeks.

80's def hot, boys in make-up, girls in leg warmers, Preppies/ Yuppies, and Rockers, big hair, and popped collars. Did I miss anything?

Oh yes, boy bands. LONG LIVE MENUDO!!!

Wow.. I grew up in the 80's.....big hair...mullets..... leggings w/ oversized shirts/sweaters and the big @ss colorful hip belts... and let's not forget the tuck and roll of the bottom of the jeans.....all i have to do is walk into one of the bars around here and it's an instant flashback to the 80's.... or go visit my sister (big hair) and her husband (MULLET!!) and there it is. Nope.. no thanks... hated the mullet back then, hate it now. Won't even THINK of dating someone w/ a mullet. BLECH!!!! oh man and wicked tight jeans and camel toes. HELL NO!!!!

Now MTV was awesome....as was some of the cars back then and some of the music. Eh.... half and half on hot or not. I do miss the music videos.....

The '80s was and STILL is the GRRRRReatest decade of them all! my name on here speaks volumes lol! There was so much great pop and meatl music back then! Huey lewis and the news, Phil Collins, Genesis, Hall and Oates, Dokken, Night Ranger, Def Leppard, Winger, Alice Cooper, Warrant, Cinderella, Teena Marie, Level 42, Scorpions, Quiet Riot, New Kids on the Block, Dire Straits, Cutting Crew, Breathe, Glass Tiger geez the lsit goes on and on and on... of course the R and B scene was doing great with Peabo Bryson, Luther Vandross, Lionel Richie, Bobby Brown, The System and on and on lol.

dang the games were great such as Galaga, Gaplus, Burger Time, Dig Dug, Crystal Castles, Kangaroo, Eyes, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Ms. Pac Man, Time Pilot, Pac-Land, Pac-Mania, Galaga '88, etc. It was also the birth of Nintendo which is still domianting the market today with that classic '80s pick up and play design! Now millions of gamers can download the classics on their Wii!

As for my'80s music taste I've just ordered some Nelson and Dangerous Toys': Hellacious Acres CD! Next, I'm definitely FINALLY getting some Danger Danger and Robert Plant's Best Of! The '80s is THE decade to remember!

Most of today's music is garbage with way too much rap, hip hop, and low talent teens. The '90-s were pretty much a mess, but at least the eraly '90s still had the classic '80s hair metal sound until Nirvana and Grunge ruined it!

The 80's had many cool new wave/alternative pop songs and a few cool movies, but I really miss the NINETIES! Not for the pop culture, but because that's when I was in my 20's (most of the decade) and the most interesting things happened during that decade. ..highlighted by 2 Woodstocks, following The Grateful Dead, college, seeing The Rocky Horror Picture Show several times, and dabbling on the outskirts of pro wrestling and punk rock, etc.
