| ever date an on going arguement. Posted: 10/19/2007 8:56:25 AM | Does family count ?? ... mine always has and always will be able to live my life so much better than I can ... what to say ... or not ... what to do ... or not ... what I can afford ... or not ... who to see ... or not ... where to live ... or not ...
I find that pills washed down with kegs of alcohol helps to lessen the pain caused by chomping down on my tongue ... gritting my teeth ... whilst smiling and nodding ...
I eagerly look forward to their next trip into town, so I can engage in yet another game of hide and seek ... aahh ... sometimes these games are more fun as adults ... even when played in solitude ... or with the help of a good friend who helps me to be where my car is not and my car to be where I am not ...
I would divorce them ... but who would send me Christmas gifts then ?? and they always know exactly what it is I HAVE to have ...

| ever date an on going arguement. Posted: 10/19/2007 10:26:00 AM | I wouldn't mind this kind of thing for the occasional bad mood but if it came with the basic personality package - and when they're supposed to be on 'best behaviour' such as for the first meet - I'd be out of there. I met a lady on a blind date a couple of years ago and it was:
'you're not 5'9" you're 5'7" but don't worry I know all men are born liars'; 'I feel embarrassed to be seen here with you'; 'as you can see I was sitting in a red car and I told you my car would be blue but I lied because if I didn't like the look of you I was just going to drive off'; 'what do you mean he's a good looking man - I'm a bl**dy good looking woman!' (after showing me a picture of her deceased ex-hubby); remark as a child ran up a hill towards us (in a park) ' look at that fri**ing brat' (she was a schoolteacher by profession); 'how long ago did you leave your wife ? That's not very long ago - what, and you're already meeting people? You couldn't have thought very much of her'.
And that's not the only date from hell I've had like that, either. I don't think I'd put with anyone who was as irritating as your lady, OP. Not even for a second date never mind a period of time. I like a nice atmosphere, I do.

| ever date an on going arguement. Posted: 10/19/2007 11:24:27 AM | | OP, she's not a living thesaurus...she's a living pain-in-the-behind. And no, I've never dated anyone like that - for very long; usually after the first time meeting them, and their displaying that type of behavior, there isn't going to be a second time for them. | |

Once there, it was AWFUL and I had to slap myself in the face to wake up and realize that this was completely ridiculous and beneath me. Beneath anyone.

| ever date an on going arguement. Posted: 10/19/2007 2:05:37 PM | I dated a woman like that for 11 weeks, how do i remember that. Because i could stand to be with any fool for 12 weeks, and she just couldn't make it that far. She did cry when i broke it off with her. I know she felt like she would never have a good relationship. With good reason, if you are a tyrant in conversation, you will soon, be a tyrant alone. And like the addage,, don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out. To her,, all i can say is ,,, CORRECT THIS. , now she is gone, and i have a sweet girl in my sights: yay: | |

Thats funny, a deaf girl said that to me once! Just once.
The funny thing is I have had others that didn't like that word and had to change it to gut..
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week. Which is the way he wants it, well he gets!! I don't like this any more the you!!! (cool hand luke)
I am not sure why, but this fits soooo well.....
Belly hand book pg,69.. positioning is everything. Or page 96 if you feel the need to argue about it...

More like the devil you know vs the devil you don't ... I believe you are a sucker for punishment ... you have no one to blame but yourself ... and by continuing to return to the trough ... you have NO right to complain ...

| ever date an on going arguement. Posted: 10/19/2007 8:48:08 PM | OP that is exactly how most men come across to women. Especially when they try to "one up" us to feed their male egos.
I want to go to to Uncle Chan's. " China House is better". (this kind of thing might appear innocent at first, but when its to EVERYTHING I say, it gets very old). I will have planned my route somewhere, and say "I'm taking 35", "nah this way is better". Whatever it is that I want to say, do, eat, go, drive, watch, etc, their idea is always better. Feh! I have even had them wrongly try to correct me on baseball stats!
Whenever someone puts me down or gets it wrong, I always feel the need to get things straight. I have enough esteem in myself to know to never settle for that.
I put a lot of thought and pride into every decision I make and base it on the knowledge I have. I dont appreciate always being one upped like that all the time. I was with a guy who turned every questioon or topic of discussion I'd bring up into an argument. Then he had the nerve to say that *I* did it! It would go fine til HE started doing things like criticizing my feelings, my opinions and my desires. Then wonder why I wasnt so pleased with his response. Uh huh.

| ever date an on going arguement. Posted: 10/19/2007 10:14:25 PM | OP..... my last relationship was like that. If I said the sky was blue he would say, no, it's actually a bit more on the pink side, look over there "see" Errrrrrrrrr ..... most of our conversations were much the same.
I have always considered myself a good cook and so does my family and friends, but to him, he thought he was much better at cooking. (Like just about everything. Name it and he could do it much better)
I remember one time, I was cooking dinner when he came into the kitchen watching me cook and started telling me I was doing this or that wrong and proceeded to show me how. Well, I left the kitchen and went into the living room and let him cook the rest of the meal.
I don't think I would consider him to be a Control Freak .... more like a Smart Azz .... Know It All !!!
The funny thing about it was, he even agured that he was not that way and didn't have a clue what I was talking about.
After I told him, more than once that he made me feel like I was some sort of dummy and I would never in his eyes be as good as he was, no matter what. He called "ME" a "Control Freak"
I broke up with him not long after that ...... I will not be with or date anymore "No it all's" again. Nor, anymore Control freaks either .... I was married to one of them.
