What's the big deal? It's not like she's running out and doing it b/c some people on here might have said to. She was just wondering opinions. I believe she said numerous times she is just asking and would not do it UNLESS her son came to her and wanted it done.

Hey MLOne I am jewish, my brothers were both circumsized. I think it is good to do it for health reasons and also religous reasons. It is also true about being kosher, but I am not kosher. That is a whole other topic. My ex married a nonjewish girl, their son now is five years old. He has not been circumsized yet, when he turns 13 it will be his chosing to have the practice done. In the jewish faith when a boy turns 13, he becomes a man in celebration. It is never too late to be circumsized however.

Actually punerm, you have it mixed up to a degree. I hink in Muslim culture, they circumsize at 13c when a boy reaches adulthood. For the Jewish faith, a boy is circumsized in a Bris Milah ritual ay 8 days old.

You are correct CarolinaBlues9. The jewish boys do get a Bris Milah Ritual at 8 days old. There is a Rabbi and an assistant present, ( hebrew name called Moil). Doing the procudure. Cheers!
