| Is it true that American ladies like us English guys? Posted: 1/6/2008 4:11:57 PM | Well, I do like a British accent. At the same time, of the Brits whom I have met, they have a wonderful way of complimenting a woman. Happened just last night when I emailed a gentleman in London who was posting in the forums here.
Politeness goes a looooooooooooooong way!

| Is it true that American ladies like us English guys? Posted: 1/6/2008 5:29:12 PM | Well you know I have never met an English guy so I can't say.... I don't have an odd attraction to the accent if that's what you mean.
I really base attraction on a case by case basis... I can't generalize about a whole sub-group of guys. LOL

I watched a player do his thing, where he was Irish for a week. Worked amazingly well. Even if the accent was horribly fake and he sounded like the Lucky Charms leprechaun. And he was Mexican on top of that. My faith in humanity dropped for multiple reasons.
made me lol! ..thanks ... whenever i think of terrible put-on accents i always think of****Van Dyke on "Mary Poppins"; fun
and yeah, i agree, it's the accent thing.. i find it myself being a brit here, people do sometimes treat you differently because of it

| Is it true that American ladies like us English guys? Posted: 1/7/2008 6:28:33 PM | My sweetie's a brit...with a lovely (DEEP) Scottish accent. Should just say DEEP voice...*shiver* now that's sexy, no matter what the accent IMO!!
I don't love him nor was even initially attracted to him simply because of that.
IOW I wouldn't date someone just because of their ethinicity or cultural background OR even an accent.
That said, we have had a lot of fun with learning each other's colloquialisms. If you do happen to date a Brit....don't ask what goolies are!!

| Is it true that American ladies like us English guys? Posted: 2/17/2008 6:49:54 AM | Some are and some aren't. Having a British accent is not 100% guarantee for being lucky in love.
English men are just as capable of being vulgar, rude, and domineering as any other man. In fact, when it comes to those things I think American men have it WAY over their Brit counterparts. Being in England made me appreciate American men that much more LOL I thought Irish and Scottish men were way more fun and not nearly as reserved as the English, unless the English guys were drinking. Being drunk seems to be the only way they are able to 'cut loose' and have fun. But drunken men aren't particularly attractive whoever they are.
An accent, wether it's Italian, a Spaniard, French, Aussie or [insert some other country] is initially interesting but doesn't guarantee a thing. Not for me.
