I will be doing the solo thing for NYE as well. That is to be expected since I often refer to myself as hopelessly and incurably single!    I missed most of the good stuff at the last party because I was preoccupied with other issues. I won't make that mistake again ... well, at least not for awhile.

I will be begging outta the Generations gig...sounds super fun...maybe I will end up stopping in for a very short while enroute to my existing plans...who knows? But I am going to be test driving a smokin' hawt love bug this weekend which just has me mad crazy  happy right now! **wink** | |

Kat, if anyone wants the file for the name tags they can just send me a message & let me know. If they give me an email address I can send them the file without any names on it. But, also if they'd like, I can put there names on it for them & email it to them & they can print them & buy their own holders. I don't mind doing it that way as it won't cost me anything but my time. And, as long as I don't get 50 at one time to be done in a few days I think I can handle that, lol. Just let me know. Oh, this is wild but I had asked someone to come to the HP party, he couldn't stay but he dropped in.. well I spotted him as he was leaving and I went after him...OMG we just talked and he said he was cracking up after he left because he has never had a piece of candy chase him down before... OMG that is way too funny.
I do believe I will be at Generations.. it has been years since I went there... like years. Hey, I don't want to go home after work then way back up there so is anyone going to go there like straight from work or maybe even earlier than the 9 pm thing??

Posted: 10/23/2007 7:39:38 PM | First of all Thank You Kat!!! I had a Awsum time Everyone was nice and I had a Blast .I was actually surprised by the number of people I knew there some from AOL one from my seasonal Job with Santa and even one from my Parish ..what a great eclectic group of people.
Ok I know Im kinda a newbie ( not to POF but to the parties) But I thought I might throw this out and see what you all thought
Since 1996 a group of my friends and I have made sure that every child at Childrens Hospital on Christmas morning received a present from Santa We would have a Toy Drive /Christmas party .A very special lady named Lisa started this because he son was in the Hospital in 1995 on Christmas Morning and all Santa had for him was a candy cane At its peak we provided gifts for up to 3 additional Charities including Mary Grove Childrens Home, Boys/Girls Town of St Louis and St James Mo. and Lidias House The AOL Chat room that started this no longer exists Last Year for the first time we fell short of our goal But through some generous people we were able to buy the remaining presents . It was assumed that it would be the last year for the Toy Drive ..So I thought I would throw it out to see if there might be any interest in this Last year for the first time we had the party at the Strafford because they had the best accommodations and gave us a room to collect the presents and lock them up till the next morning to be picked up They also waved the cover charge if you had a present ..we only had about 60 people so I was grateful for that The first 10 years were at a location that no longer exists
So let me know if you folks think you would be interested in something like this prolly around the 2nd Saturday In Dec

I used to work at Boys and Girls Town Of Missouri in St.James and St.Louis and I can tell you several stories of kids waking up on Christmas morning and having presents to open. For some of the kids there it is there first Christmas ever. The bright smiles on their faces would just light up a room. The kids and staff appreciate every gift that is givin to them. When you get the drive together PLEASE give the information and I will definetly donate.

Everyone could bring a coverd dish or something. We could have it at the Strat again perhaps? Maybe everyone would get to meet everyone and maybe make love connections!! Just a thought though let me know what you think?

Let me know if you need help with anything.........we can always just sign Bill up for stuff.......I'm sure he won't mind......just kidding, I wouldn't sign him up for anything without asking him first. It was great meeting you the other night and I was happy to see that Bill actually knew others there so that he was abit more relaxed.
As for Generations this Friday, I am going to check with some of my friends which aren't on here and see if they want to join me. Not sure about driving that far especially afterwards if I have anything to drink.......it would be about an hour drive for me home and not really sure about that.......nothing else, I will just make it a water night. | |
