LOL I saw one man who had put a young Tom Cruise up as his pic

I notice one of the posters who stated pics weren't that important has a snappy new pic on his profile

I agree though putting up a false pic is the same as telling a lie. I also agree as a previous poster said - you shouldn't put too much emphasis on pics - a lot of people look better in person and unless a professional took their pic - then they are not looking their best. Looks come and go, but personality lasts forever.

I agree with the pics of famous people being silly. I was however, outraaaaaged at the fact that my studio head shot of me that I used as my main pic, was deleted. It was a pic of me,.. and quite obviously me.. why the heck? I still cant work it out. I now use my other studio pic as one of my secondary pics, because I'm afraid theres a mod out there who might have it in for me
I just find the pics that are posted of someone taken about 15 years ago, rather poignant and sad. DAx

> do they not plan on ever meeting the person in real life?

Ya mean people actually meet from being here at POF?!

Get out!!

No way. I mean, from what I hear no guy has ever gotten a reply to any email he's sent out, and women don't do their half of the heavy lifting, so how's this happening?

I saw a gorgeous yummy guy, all pro photos, vague reference to modeling work, Italiano with an accent (he says so in his profile and if you read it on the web, it must be true...) and though he's too young for me, I refuse to believe he's not available. I asked for wallpaper for my computer. He'll write back to me soon.

I don't put up my best photos and I don't put up my worst. If I were a little famous and had pro photos, I'd definately put up self-taken pics. You need pics to some degree, and I've had my share of bad experience from putting some up. I met all the best people by having my dog on the main pic.... I've met one man who never gave me his picture and he was absolutely gorgeous when we met in real life. And he's a keeper for a relationship too. We had some chemistry that I sadly didn't give in to because of all the BS going on in my life right now. I know another man who is on PoF with no pic. He's a good case for why women need to avoid men who won't put up pics. I met another who had a deceiving pic and when I met him, I just wondered, what was the point? I would have met him with an honest picture, now I just see the lie...
