And, I really think that it goes both ways as far as being invited in. I think it's just human nature to be cautious of who you let in to your world. And what's wrong with that? [/quote Good for you!
We do learn as we go. ~
Remember the Eagles Song " Easy feeling"
"I got a peaceful , easy feeling and I know you want let me down,
cause I'm already standing on the ground. "
~~~ and ~
" found out a long time ago, what a woman can do to your soul
but she can't take you anywhere you don't already know how to go."
sweet simple lines of wisdom set in time.
It's all about taking responsibility for yourself
being the message.
I had an unhappy wife once ~ she attempted to explain to me how I was at the root of her inability to be happy. And I listened to her and attempted to understand and adjust. After a few years of marriage your "invested" ~ and fight to make it work.
The truth was ~ she was just an unhappy person and she'd couldn't make herself happy nor could I. It was impossible.
Some people hit that 45 mark and realize that this is not the life I ordered! They look around at other's and judge themselves harshly. ~ The "why can't I's" creep into their mind and they start assigning blame.
It's a downward spiral and self defeating but you can't stop them ~ believe me , I've tried.
Just take much care in what you hitch your wagon to. ~ For in the beginning it's all roses but the trail is difficult and you will experience many failures no matter who you choice.
Stay away for unhappy people!
