| 2 boys killed on a motorway Posted: 10/26/2007 4:03:33 AM | I remember when I was a child, walking down the road with my dad... when I saw two young lads (brothers) one was about 6yrs old and the other about 2yrs old.. they was on this go-cart..going down a hill on the other side of the road... suddenly the lad lost control and they went straight under a double decker bus... I heard a lot of screaming..and realised it was coming from me...The image that stuck with me for years is seeing a little shoe sitting at the curb.... they both lost their lives that day....
This was back in the 70's...Dad banned us from using go-carts...
Children are always going to be curious when it comes to the main road or the railway tracks... guide lines have been put down for parents to follow, However if a child is determined to play these dangerous games they are going to get hurt and sometimes the parents are unaware of what they are up too!....
The SS can not "tell" parents what to do...but they can revise their "protection act" to safe guard the responsibility of these youngesters...

I live 50 yards from a railway and not far from two motorways (The A1 & the M62) these are both easily accessible, but because i have brought them up responsibly my kids do not go anywhere near these premises.
Responsibility and commonsense cost nothing, but if you don't use either then it can cost lives (and usually does).
