Personally, I like a woman who has her own mind. I'd like her to consider various options, but at the end of the day if she doesn't want to do something then I'm not going to be interested in trying to pressure her into my own wishes. That's not what a relationship is about...

posters here, they are correct based on the local customs & geographical areas to
which they live.
However when used in advertisements in some areas of the local newspapers (Adult
Sections for those soliciting for sexual purposes), the definition of "open minded"
changes to:
1) a primarily a willingness to have anal sex. Prostitutes & those using this type of
media use this so as not to offend the general public (the readers) or attract attention
(of the law) to their willingness & openness of their preferences.
2) Sometimes secondary meanings reflect "open mindedness" to an "open
relationship" thus opening the doors to "open minded sexual activities" primarily as
swingers & multiple partners, however that may be extended to include & not be
limited to golden showers, BDSM, cross-dressing, bi-sexualism, homosexualism,
beastism, necrophilia & a willingness to any number of other sexual activities.
So for those who use the term they must be very adament about what it means to them
& what they're looking for. In Business, Political, Bible belt & Relationship terms, the
definition of "open-minded" at this higher level of thinking means exactly what most
of the posters here have been using. It's reference being the opposite of being closed-
minded.
I see the confusion in the use of this terminology & it brings out the best in us as well as
the worst in some, thus the gender bashing, the taking of positions & the FEAR. There
is no need for political corrective posturing, you are all right in what it means to you.
Fear leads to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to Hate. Hate leads to
suffering.
