Does anyone else remember seeing a film called 'Black Christmas'? About students getting murdered? No one else I know has ever seen it or heard of it and I'm beginning to think I must have imagined it | |

Hammer films, Christopher Lee, Vincent price, corny but fun
I loved those films - I also remember watching Tales of the Unexpected and the Twilight Zone!

I read the book before seeing the tv adaptation of Salem's lot.
I slept with the lights on and plastic sheets on my bed for weeks after.
Danny Glick the floating vampire tapping on the window. OMG...
IT: pennywise the clown. Sick individual our Stephen.
Hammer house of horrors double bill including: The incredible shrinking man. : The beast with the five fingers [peter lorrie].
The Omen trilogy [the music was frightening]

Posted: 11/22/2007 3:31:37 AM | Clowns are scary freaky things anyhow so the film 'IT' is way up there on my list and confirmed everything i always thought about them.
Blood and guts ones dont really do anything for me on the frightening scale. But give me a psychological one that preys on my imagination and it will win every time.
When i am lying in bed trying to get to sleep and i wont turn my back on my bedroom door incase something freaky creeps through it them i know it has been a good one. | |

Posted: 11/24/2007 8:30:57 PM | My introduction to horror was via the Universal productions of the 1930s, the old black and white versions of films like The Mummy and the Werewolf. Probably very tame nowadays but Boris Karloff and Lon Chaney played their parts well.
Saw quite a few Hammer productions as a nipper as well......

The original Fog beats the new version by miles as with so many older horrors, the new stuff lacks bite and tries to make up for the lack of ideas with excess gore. | |

I couldn't take a bath for a couple of days afterwards, kept thinking the shark was somehow going to get me in the bath. | |

but as faves again to go with other posters Most by Stephen King especially The Stand but what a marathon watch lol
i think its a shame that James Herbert has not had some of his books adapted ( i know Fluke has but its not a major horror) Imaging The Rats or The Survivor as a film | |
