B. awsome talent and amazement with a sence of rythm or C. Like something really cool that people are naturally attracted to and think its bad ass. thats what art is. like cool paintings and shit you can stare at them and you start thinking about it and you just like it being there and shit like that. thats art! | |

We pour out our beliefs, our thoughts, and share how we see the world. I don't think that all art has emotion to it. It can but it doesn't have to be. It can be lifeless. People think that everything has a reason, a purpose. It's not necessarily so. Art isn't always poetic and justified. It is an action to a response of thought and sometimes feeling. We all yearn to be heard. It's great how many forms we can express ourself. Feelings and thoughts of the moment die, but art is forever. | |

Posted: 8/17/2008 6:34:37 PM | Art is energy. Art is more than just communication, it is a dialogue. Form is, for the most part, irrelevant. The artist chooses a medium, and his/her skill, talent, creativity--whatever you want to call it--takes over and the piece is produced.
But that is only half the picture. Art can not, and should not, exist in a vaccuum. Art comes alive when it is seen, read, or otherwise engaged by the spectator. The audienceis the one that actually breathes life into the piece. Don't believe me--a book only comes alive once it is read; a piece of music needs to be listened to, and so on...
That relationship between the piece and the spectator both generates and is fuelled by energy. Art is energy--at its essence. | |

It's contradictory and perfectly consistent and true at the same time. It connects and impacts others in a unique way that can only come from the one who fashioned it. The old adage, " I may not know art, but I know what I like" gets banged about a bit, but it's true, in my opinion. | |
