Just a thought flower, if your not happy after 10 years, maybe you should look and try to figure out why? And I'm not saying being single is the only way to go but i do believe you need to be happy with yourself and in your own life before you can be happy with someone else. And expecting someone to make you happy would just put more strain on any relationship than if you were already happy right? (Also goes w/out saying if the person your with doesn't make you happy, all the work in the world wont change it)
I like being single, i dont miss having someone around, as i remember it was nice but i also remember how big a pain in the arse it can be too if it's not the 'right one'. So no, i'm not seeking, I'm open but not seeking... Oh yeah, i'm mainly here to meet others and get out of the 'never go out' rut i'm in (like now!) Being single does has it's disadvantages, but being in a relationship does too. Just fewer headaches and less stress being on your own!
Just a stud muffins two cents worth

Sandy...this thread was started to seek the positive and humorous aspects of being single! While we all ultimately would probably love to find "the one" who fits well for us...I think we are also the sorts who are less willing to settle! Therefore, we have two choices...1) to be miserable in our search, which only reeks to others and makes it all the more difficult, or 2) to be comfy in our singledom, which makes us healthier peeps! I vote for that latter! ;)
As far as why we are here? Wellll...I am a forum wh0re, so that's the main reason! LMAO But also in case someone comes along and b1tchslaps me in the face (sweeps me offa my feet!) and I actually like it! ;) | |

Guess some people need to have the companionship more than others. I admit it would be nice, but i think everyone in here that's been throwing in their 2 cents agrees that what you lose by living alone outweighs the problems with living with someone that's just not right for you.
I'm guessing this 4um is for those of us that have seen the worse and enjoy blowing off some steam - but i seriously doubt that anyone in here wouldn't jump back on the wagon if they found someone they felt was right... Well me excluded, I'm pretty brain dead and even my ex had to brow beat me for months on end until it sank in she wanted to go out! Actually that happens more often than not with me
If i was you, i'd learn to be comfy in my life, enjoy it to it's fullest, get out and socialize and see what falls in your lap (not referring to the drunks at the up-n-coming 8's mixer!   ). | |

remember what you said the other night when I was leaving your house... you were going to do the greeting thing cause you didn't want to follow me around being the shy one... well girlfriend step up and make some noise!
I have been told... IF you are giving off the negative aura that is what you are going to get back.. same goes for depressed, happy, sad, excited... SO me personally I want to be happy... so I am thinking happy thoughts. Oh along with a little chocolate it is great!
I will say this, Sandy hun, you don't have to be alone.. but you are like me.. PICKY and I am glad you are cause you would be so unhappy if you were to settle. He will come around when you least expect it girlfriend. | |
