I'm not defending Sargos words or intentions. But I am confused on one point. And this is a pet peeve of mine. Been pondering how to word it so the intent rings true in font.
I take issue with the fact that when mustang was belittling and being insultive to females, it was excused away as a "misunderstanding" and we bit our tongues out of request. But this is acceptable? It's okay to face someone off on something when they aren't your friend, but not okay when they are. That's double standards and it reaks of b/s. This hits home only because I was recently given a warning (because I was reported) and had posts deleted for being off topic for a certain (alleged person) thread, but yet this alleged person continues to be off topic on my thread and others.
Again, I'm not defending or even saying anything Sargo said was correct, I happen to disagree with the bulk of it. Just don't understand the double standard and find it unacceptable. Having said that. I will call mustang (or anyone) out again if I see unacceptable innuendos or just plain in your face intentional insults towards females (or males). I refuse to bite my tongue if it's not expected of anyone else. And yes, I expect the same from others when I cross a line. We all sometimes comment depending on a mood, and misunderstandings happen and sometimes our true meaning doesn't come through. But when it happens posts after posts after posts, that's not a "misunderstanding", that's blatant disrespect. Absolutely unexcuseable. | |

I told the man off in that particular thread and never went back.
There was another thread where someone was being what I considered out of bounds and I also told him what I thought. We have since made amends, he saw the errors of his ways I think/hope
I thinnnnnnk what happened here was (and I am FAR from an expert) that it was a case of a very personal attack and it caused the fire to fan out of control fast and furious because of the fresh hurt and pain involved.
All of these people involved are my friends and I want so much for this to go away and our happy home to come back.
Call me an ostrich sticking my head in the sand ...( I am a bird you know, although a Robin) I am hoping when I lift it, all will be well and posting will of continued on here with all sides having kissed and made up.
For the record...I do hear everything you said and I understand.
and btw....I'm not sure everyone on here knows that someone from here has been the cause of your grief with the mods.
