Oh Hodgie...I hope you don't catch this cold from last night. i'm so sick I stayed home today, slept til 4:30 and still feel like doggie poo. Not so sure i'll be going to work tomorrow either...I need another hug. If I'm not on tonight you'll know I'm laying in bed suffering. You can always always call if you want babycakes.
BTW...I'm using your keyboard, it works and mine died this morning again, darn puppy anyways! how does one fix a brand new cord chewed in half?

In case anyone in Saginaw or just outside, there is the Texan on State Street (M58) that is open all night, its in a little plaza that you shouldnt be able to miss. Its pretty quiet and has a good atmosphere at that time. :)

i met a guy one time in a k-mart parking lot LOL

One of my best dates was sitting in my pickup with a very nice woman in a Barnes and Noble parking lot, under one of those parking lot lights, next to her empty car. We both met there because both of us were a bit uncomfortable inviting the other to our houses.

Let's just say that the "date" reminded me of being a teenager again. Kissing--ok, making out, really--in the front seat of a big Dodge pickup is fun!

Does being south of Grand Rapids qualify as "just outside?" It would be nice to have a place to sit and chat in the quiet of the evening.

I wish.

Yeah see? Those first meets/dates (whatever we call them! lol) dont have to be anywhere fancy shmancy! Might get the funny look from a friend or relative who doesnt really understand internet meets tho. 'Hey where did you meet your guy last night?..." Oh we met in the parking lot at XYZ'...."You did whaaaaaaat?" haha

What wrong with sitting outside the 7-11 late at night? LoL

I have done that, its nothing romantic by all means but if you had just met, its a great way to her to be more comfortable and safe... well lit area and a few other people coming and going.

Theres also the truckstop/resturaunt at the brideport exit on 75 thats open 24/7 as well. That gives her a quick exit to get away with too Theres many things you can do, just use your imagination and make sure you both agree before doing it. I personally wouldnt want to do anything that would put in a situation where she doesnt feel safe or comfortable.

Im a chatter and have been since ive had this pc (2000), and my brother is a huge huge game person. I cannot stand internet games and he cannot stand chat! LOL I will tell him about the people ive met via my chat site (he actually met the 1 guy lol) and he just shakes his head and calls me crazy. lol But yet its ok for him to met the group of people he plays with from all over th US and they have a meet in Germany. Oh but thats different, he says. lol Whatta dork!

I used to tell some of my friends at work about the stuff we yak about in chat or the threads here at POF and they look at me like a grew a huge hairy wart on my forehead. Non-internet people will just never understand! haha

OT:

The next guy i date i wll have to tell him their are rules to kissing, and i will have to show him what the rules are. heehehe

I have been on these 'other' dating sites and when you get to ask the other person a few questons, the question I always ask is, "Why type of kiss do you prefer? A little peck, long embracing kiss, etc."
People think I might be nuts for asking that to someone whom I never met or even carried on a conversation with but you know... it tells a great deal about the person right away. How so? Ok, lets just take the quick peck kiss... Basically it tells me that theres going to be issues with the relationship with me. A quick peck can mean several things but more so, it tells me either they dont think that a physical touch is important enough to make time for in the relationship (HUGE Problem for me) or they may have low self esteem and I dont want to drain all my energy trying to encourage them on a daily basis to remain happy. Or lastly they just not realize it but they could also be saying, yeah i care for you but I dont have time for a relationship or DONT want to make time for my partner.

Dont get me wrong here, a quick peck of a kiss can mean a lot of things but those are the things that first come to mind. I am an excellent judge of character of people and I know how people are going to react even before they know themselves. A gift of sorts I guess. But if you dont match my kissing style, then we have problems. The physical touch in a relationship is just as important to me as the idle everyday conversation. The physical touch is a reassurance to me that everything is ok and not to worry, so when that starts to wain, I start wondering and thats when I will mention it or address it. So yeah, Im a touchy feely type of person.. sue me LoL But I know what I want and thats that. Is it to much to ask? Maybe so, but thats how I am.

Think about it a bit and I think you will see exactly what I mean, think back to past relationships, how many of them had you nearly instantly turned off because of that first kiss that didnt live up to your expectations? Thats exactly what Im talking about here.

A quick peck? ewww, you've actually had a woman say she prefers a quick peck? Yucko, something wrong there...kissing is a magical thing, it requires much time and attention!
BTW Sargo, you said...

The physical touch in a relationship is just as important to me as the idle everyday conversation. The physical touch is a reassurance to me that everything is ok and not to worry

truer words were never spoken, it is as important as the kiss, maybe more so and I'm not talking about sex, that's a totally different thing.... I mean touch, physical touch (LOL, like Hodgie carressing my face) Melts your insides and lets you know everything is good. Amazing two men here both feel the same way.....AMY, better snatch the man up fast with a fishing net!

Well, I'll admit if the kiss don't fit, I will quit. Nothing worse then not feeling that magic at that moment. Ick.
Robin, what bait do you recommend using?

Yma, catching a man doesn't require any specific kind of 'bait.' All you have to do is show us the net and we'll jump in! Show us the hook and we'll take it! And YUCKO on the 'peck on the cheek.' My mom used to do that. I would never be able to see a peck on the cheek as romantic. Ever.

Yma...I was told by the fish I caught that the bait I used was personality and humor! Just throw it out there like this wait a bit and when you get a bite that feels good start reeling him in and presto you have your very own

I didn't get that above poster's comment....inside joke?

Sorry Robbity, her comment was very similar to OJ's defence strategy. Remember the famous phrase uttered by his lawyer, "If the glove doesn't fit, then you must acquit." I know, twisted...but that's me.
