| Wedding Reception/Luau Party at the Slip Knot Lounge Tuesday, November 20, 2007 Posted: 11/9/2007 1:54:02 PM | Hi everyone, this is Kimmie(computer thinks it's Jerry!!), anyways.....I just got a phone call from a personal friend of ours who will be at the wedding. He said, "A Luau isn't a Luau without a pig roast"....So, thanks to his generousity, we will have real Luau Buffet....the meat at least, now all we need to come up with will be the "fixin's", salads, fruits, whatever ya'll want to bring!! So maybe gettin' out on a Tuesday won't be a bad deal!!!
We're up to 18 people...two more signed up and we'll be able to do the Mass Mailing and make this a great party!!
Love Ya'll, Kimmie | |

| Wedding Reception/Luau Party at the Slip Knot Lounge Tuesday, November 20, 2007 Posted: 11/10/2007 3:39:06 PM | JERRY AND I Wish everyone else on POF (that want to find a partner for life) are as lucky as we have been. With ya'll's blessings, we will continue to host partys and events to give others the opportunity to meet someone you feel compatible with , just like we have.
Jerry was a member of on-line dating services for almost 4 years, and I signed up when I moved back to Florida in the summer of 2005. On-line dating is not a "quick fix" to finding a suitable partner. Yet it give you oppotunities to get together with other people and, have a good time socializing, while meeting friends, and not being lonely until the right one comes along.
The party at the Luau will be our wedding reception, and we are having it at the Slip Knot, open to other POF'ers because, the friends we have both made over the last year and socialize with are ALL members of POF.
Sooooooooooooooooooooo, Let's get together and have a great time!!
Huggs, Kimmie and Jerry

WELCOME NEWCOMERS, This is a great bunch to get to know! We have alot of fun in the Punta Gorda Group!! It's one week until the Luau!!! While all of you are watching to see how long til the Luau, I'm practicing writing my new Last name. I'm an old fashioned romantic, so I'll be taking Jerry's last name: Correll.
I woke up this morning to find Red Roses and a Teddybear, holding a note that says "I Love You"(Yep it is one of those POF,E-mail ones!!)and a note I will have to print and keep.
Juslukin60(Larry), Hows the music selections coming along? Larry will be playing at the wedding and Probably at the Slip Knot until the regular group starts. Thank You for driving all the way down from Sebring area. I'm looking forward to hearing you play and Sing!!
Sexyracer(Tiana) is fixing my hair.....I've never been able to pull off much more than just blowdrying and the same old curling iron tricks!!
Sir Prize(Ken) is putting together a cake worth taking pictures of...wait til you see it!!
Thank You everyone else for bring food for the Buffet table and making this a Luau Party we'll all remember.
See You all soon!!! Huggs Kimmie

| Wedding Reception/Luau Party at the Slip Knot Lounge Tuesday, November 20, 2007 Posted: 11/16/2007 4:30:55 PM | Hey guys, sincce it looks like I'll have some time to cook, I'll see if I can remember how and bring something for the buffer besides an appetite. I'm thinking smpoked salmon (this is more like candied salmon), but if that's too fishy make a suggestion.
Haven't read through all of the posts yet, but I assume that someone has taken care of the cake?
JakeMM, I'm glad to see that your going to make it to the reception. You'll meet some nice people, who will give you and SarahSwFla a jump start on getting your party together. I live about two hour from you, but I'm more than willing to do what I can to help.
juslukin60 How about The Friendliest Bar in Town as a possible venue? Never been there myself, but I've had a ccouple of people tell me it was friendly. And, it's Hog lover friendly too! Sorry, but I don't now if I can write you directly.

| Wedding Reception/Luau Party at the Slip Knot Lounge Tuesday, November 20, 2007 Posted: 11/16/2007 5:22:35 PM | | Hi slowhand, about the food.....there will be a roast pig, I am bringing baked beans, someone is bringing a salad, Ron is bringing his strawberries, and SirPrize is baking the wedding cake. The salmon sounds great (and very clever>>>FISH - PLENTY OF FISH lol), though I will not speak on behalf of the bride and groom. Not sure yet what others are bringing, but I guess they also need some side dishes, etc. Looking forward to seeing you there....Beth | |

| Wedding Reception/Luau Party at the Slip Knot Lounge Tuesday, November 20, 2007 Posted: 11/17/2007 5:56:59 AM | THANK YOU, BYLLE, TINA, AND RON!!! The Bachelorette and Bachelor Partys last night were a blast!! Thanks for the endorphins!!! For those of you who don't know what I mean when I say that, Endorphins are a chemical your body releases into your brain when you laugh(or exercise...or have sex)!!!
Thank You to everyone who joined us last night, and I can guarantee the fun will continue Tuesday at the Luau!!! I was told "The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree". I'll take that as a compliment, since my three daughters were part of the fun last night!!
Jason(slohandslap) Slow...Hand...Slap?? Should we call you Patty instead of Jason?? Huggs, sweety, I'm glad to see you are coming down for the wedding. The Salmon sounds delicious....Salmon is one of my favorite foods(and Jerrys as well).
Beth, thanks for recapping the menu, your correct except you need to include.. ThiHiGal, is bringing Stuffed jalapeno's.
Jake and Sarah, Ya'll will get the opportunity to do some quality brainstorming at the Luau, as to getting partys going in your area.
It's going to be another busy day of preparation ...that is when the Bachelor wakes up to help me! You guys wore him out last night. Ken(Sir Prize) Thank You so much for being the Designated Driver....We couldn't have gotten as crazy as we all did without your efforts. By the way did I leave my Removable cast in your back seat? I can't find it this morning?
Huggs to you all, Kimmie

| Wedding Reception/Luau Party at the Slip Knot Lounge Tuesday, November 20, 2007 Posted: 11/17/2007 6:50:02 AM | Yes I knew Pete was originally bringing the pulled pork but then the roast pig came along, so wasn't sure if he was still bringing that. WOW must have been some party last nite if you lost your cast Kim! LOL Hope you find it soon.....it is crucial. Sorry I couldn't be there last nite but after working half a day (on my day off) then spending the rest in Englewood and doing tons of errands, I was just exhausted. BTW, looked for some good Hawaiian leis in Englewood for you Kim but didn't see any. Working again today, but looking forward to seeing everyone at the dinner party tonite. Beth (still thinking of those armadillo eggs ) | |
