Posted: 11/11/2007 11:41:01 PM | Any input and suggestions would be welcome. I have quite a few people that have looked, and then nothing... Likewise when I write someone, seems they read, and then don't respond, but most aren't deleting the messages.

Haven't forgot you... Taking a few hours today to do profile reviews...
Your profile is all over the place. if you want the satistics in make that your first paragraph... as you refer to it as your headline. Take out the gay reference, will confuse some.
You main pic should be just of you, its the thing that grabs the attention so that they read your profile. Make it a clear one of your smilling... Maybe a shirt on? lol
With your content of your profile you should want to talk about interests and yourself, plus a little bit about who/what your looking for. Tease the reader. I know i say it a lot but it is true, dont tell every little datail about yourself but just enough so that they want to msg you and ask about things.. its the best ice breaker.

I understand that the no pic thing is coz you dont have any but it can be a reason not many will look at profile.. stating fact i was told.
Your profile does sound harsh and negative, did you what it this way? If not then, why not start with your first line
1st, let me start by saying..."It's just a CHAT"!!! And then go on the describe yourself, if you want to describe what you look like (if that matters to you) then about yourself, interests and what you enjoy. You dont really talk about you and that doesn't give anyone much to go on to msg you about.

Well i like what you say on your profile, covered all the important areas and le people know about you, it does give a feeling of what your about.
I would suggest though that you get some new pics. Smile! Everyone likes to see happy pic of people.

Dont take your profile off, then its just pointless... maybe just state in a simple sentence that you are getting new pics and they are coming soon. Those pics should be just of you, clear, smilling and a variety of head, body and action shots.
Your profile does need a little fine tuning, You have to make this profile stand out if you dont have the right pics. Interest gals wit a little info about yourself, get them interested then reel them in.

i read your advice to jards. im in communications, so if you dont mind, i disagree. less is more. this is just my opinion, but wow..some of the profiles are so long - its too much to read about someone you do not know. save something for the date! its way too much information to be shared with anyone/everyone. and the more you write, the more chance there is for misinterpretation. i think profiles shouldnt be any longer than your response to jards. the fact that you saw his stats, his picture, and got that he has a great sense of humour is really all you need to contact him -- let him fill in the blanks as you get to know each other. | |
