| Angefish help - moving Posted: 7/6/2008 7:02:39 AM | | HELP HELP HELP My ignition switch will not work(cannot get it out of the locked position) I can't afford to replace it at this time. Could anyone tell me how to punch out the ignition switch so I can start it with a screwdriver??? It is a 1993 Mazda MX3. | |

| Angefish help - moving Posted: 7/6/2008 7:19:26 AM | If you have not tried this yet, 1) take it out of neutral and put it back in park if automatic, otherwise neutral 2) if manual transmission then depress clutch 3) turn steering wheel cw & ccw while trying to unlock ignition. | |

I have been in the hosp twice since the first of August for blood and Iron transfusions, now I am in the Laurels of Norworth Nursing Home for 2 more weeks, recuperating and trying to get my strength back. Gosh I miss you guys. Hugs, kisses and love. Audrey

| Angefish help - moving Posted: 8/21/2008 7:22:12 AM | For the future: One common mistake is to have too much weight hanging from the ignition key.... Those snap-apart things are good for preventing this: You have the ignition key by itself when actually in the ignition thing, with all the other keys, etc., in your pocket. Much less stress on the ignition thing.

| Angefish help - moving Posted: 8/21/2008 7:32:52 AM | Ladyad:
Get a screwdriver and BFH (Big F**cking Hammer). Insert said screwdriver into ignition, then take the BFH and whack the back of said screwdriver untill you have created a nice new slot in the ignition. This should do the trick. If not then track down the nearest crackhead and for a minimal fee he should be able to get you on your way.

| Angefish help - bumper Posted: 8/23/2008 6:42:38 AM | does anyone know how to put a bumper back on a car so it will not fall off. someone "borrowed" my car awhile back and have a huge dent in the one side that is liveable looks like hell but car still drives. But I have been noticing that the front bumper was really loose to the point of hanging way down low. had to take one of my road trips with the grandkids and when I got out of the car well let us put it this way the bumper was almost on the ground. Right now it has rope, strong tape and a bungee chord holding it on. Any suggestions? would hate to be driving and the whole thing fall off would not be good for me or the car? Body shop wanted almost a $1000 to fix the dent they said they would have to take off the whole panel and put a new one one. Just give me some ideas or a good person who could help me out. thanks | |

| Angefish help - bumper Posted: 8/24/2008 4:37:01 PM | | Alot of times there isn't really much that holds a bumper on. Just a few spacers under the headlights, some clips on top and bottom, and a couple screws in the side. Maybe your spacers are worn out. Of course I'm just speaking from the cars I build and repair. | |

| Angefish help - bumper Posted: 8/25/2008 7:26:47 PM | It is a 2004 Chevy Cavalier. You can tell where the bumper is supposed to go into the groves. Just plastic. Have been suggested to go to Auto Zone to see if they might have something that could help. | |

| Moving in Springfield OH Sat Sep 6 Posted: 9/3/2008 4:49:05 PM | Hi!
If anyone could get me out of a little jam I'd appreciate it. My son moved in with me recently and the one-bedroom (mouse infested!) dumpy bachelor pad just wouldn't do so we just moved into two-bedroom digs in Xenia (no mice or critters!). Problem is my furniture (not that much of it) is in Springfield and needs to be moved downstairs, into a waiting van or UHaul. Let's say response from family and friends has been a bit underwhelming. Any help would be appreciated..around 10am. The items consist of 2 couches, my bed, and some miscellaneous. Enough people could probably have it downstairs in an hour. Thanks all!
