| Moving in Springfield OH Sat Sep 6 Posted: 9/10/2008 8:24:01 AM | | I would like everyone to pray for Superlady68, for she is indeed a Superlady. Her cancer has returned, not in her breast but 4 different places, is inoperable and a stage 4. She will begin chemo on Monday September 15th. She has been unable to eat much in awhile, (one of the cancers is in her esophagus) and will be sent home on a feeding tube. Ireally don't have much more info than that at this time, as I just got out of the hosp. last Saturday. Please email her with your support at her POF address. Her insurance will run out on the 28th or 29th of this month, (she had resigned from her present job, and was to start a new job the 1st of Oct) so I will be checking into ways to help her out with her medical bills, thru medicaid, and if possible SSI disability until she can get SS. Any information you may be able to give me on these sources will be appreciated. | |

Before she found out about the cancer, she said "she would like to have someone come and take her for a long motorcycle ride, that she really use it right now." However, since the heartbreaking news on Monday, she may not be up to it.

| Moving in Springfield OH Sat Sep 6 Posted: 9/20/2008 2:51:43 PM | | Will try to get this back to the top. Latest on Superlady, she is doing pretty good. She is a very strong person and also a very private one. I am one of the lucky ones, we are like sisters and she opens up to me. She begins her 30 day radiation on Monday. Please continue emailing her and keeping her in your prayers. | |

| Angelfish Help Posted: 11/1/2008 6:21:18 PM | Need help please! Does anyone know anything about clothes dryers? Think the heating element (or whatever makes it heat up) went out. Would appreciate it if anyone knew how I could get it fixed and how much it would cost.
Thanks Debbie | |

| Angefish help Posted: 11/13/2008 9:48:15 PM | | i was just thinking of how amazing you all are. i miss you so much and will be laughing on thanksgiving when i think of last year. although i'm in the best place i could be (near my family) i can't help but remember all the help you all have been to me and the kids. let me tell you, Charlie the tackle is doing very well at his new school, loves being near his cousins, and showed astonishing tenacity playing his first season of football. Dorothy is making improvements slowly so they will last. she turns 14 in a couple weeks, where does time go. ok, i'm getting sappy now, really just wanted to take this back to the top. | |

| Angefish help Posted: 12/1/2008 10:09:55 PM | | OK considering the time of year and goodwill towards men and all that, lets not get this thread buried and keep it up in case someone in need can really use it and we can open up our hearts. | |

| Angefish help Posted: 12/5/2008 6:35:09 PM | Ok... I might sound like a complete IDIOT... but I just moved into this house last spring and I can't seem to get my fireplace to light! In my other home, I had a woodburning fireplace and it was simple to throw some logs on and smell that wood burning. I soooo miss my woodburning fireplace.
Here is my problem: I can't get my gas fireplace to turn on. I literally only have to flip a light switch and it's supposed to turn on. Except it won't. I am thinking the pilot is out. I saw a little red button when I took the grill off. I pushed it - nothing. I'm thinking thats what will help light the pilot light. Any suggestions would be most helpful.
Thanks,
Amber | |

| Angefish help Posted: 12/5/2008 7:27:12 PM | Amber I also have a gas fireplace and miss the wood fireplace along with the smell and sounds that wood brings..so much nicer.
On mine I have a knob on the wall that turns the gas line on. The pilot is underneath the logs inside the fireplace. I use one of those long disposable lighters and push on the knob inside where the logs are and light the pilot. At that point I turn the knob to the left and "walaaa" it is lit. I must admit that Jerry lit it for me the first time after I moved in here because I was a "fireplace dummie" but since then I have figured it out.. Email me for my number or get it from Debbie if you can't figure it out and maybe I can help you over the phone ...

| Angefish help Posted: 12/6/2008 8:05:32 AM | | My 24 yr. old Son needs steady employment in the Akron/ Canton area. He is a machinist by trade. But he can do just about anything . He is very intelligent, personable, responsible, hard working. If he doesn't find something soon, he will have to move and my heart couldn't take that. If anyone knows of anything please email me. Hugs & prayers fishes! | |
