You cannot sterilize skin so there is always some natural flora on every body part. That is why some women on antibiotics can get a yeast infection because it alters the natural flora allowing the yeast population to grow out of control. However, there is always some yeast in there along with other harmless bacteria. Soap is fine for washing the outside of a woman’s privates. The reason why soap is NOT good to wash the vaginal cavity is because soap is an alkaline. Women’s vaginal areas are slightly acidic. That is why most douches are basically vinegar and water because vinegar is acidic and that helps keep things in balance as far as pH. Oh, and if it smells like fish, something is off down there because that is not the natural fragrance of a woman’s koochie. | |

No science support on this one but I have heard many women say that they smell/taste sweeter down there if they eat a lot of fruit. I have also heard that dairy products will give a man's semen a sour taste. Never head about green peppers before and why green... yellow and red don't help? Is this from personal experience or did you read it somewhere? Get back to me ASAP because I need to know before Christmas as it may alter the content of the fruit baskets I give as gifts.  | |

Someone else mentioned vegetarians vs. red meat eaters...... I have come across a few people who say yes this is true and it IS a well known fact , NOT scientifically proven of course just the local folks who DO IT, that certain foods DO infact "flavour" our secretions.
I have spoken to others who tend to find that Diabetics have a much more tangy and sometimes too sharp scent and flavour. Who knows but it can't hurt to try and see???
I personally avoid onions.

I think this is one of these very silly questions that gets asked by crafty women who just want men to be reminded that women even have vaginae in the first place. Very funny!!!, but seriously, women worry about this (the smelly question)...and yea, i guess it's kind of fun to remind you guys that we do indeed have vaginas....

Posted: 12/8/2007 12:02:22 PM | I'm not a guy, but i've gone down on a couple friends, and i'm not fond of the smell. it's not a fishy smell, it's more musty. but not taking a shower for a week! anyone would smell like fish. and i don't think there's anything wrong with using feminine wash or sprays. My doctor told me that the reason "vagina's" have an odor is because they have identical sweat glands to the sweat glands in your arm pits! you put deoderant on, so why not some spray for down there? oh, and all the guys in here who enjoy going down on a woman, any of you live in san diego?   | |
