we are happy to help, and it sure makes it feel worth it when those who attend let us know that they are happy we are taking an active role.

YES, i know... not much of a poet, but appearently this doesnt stop me.
GREAT to see everyone signing up, dont forget though, all that attend are able to bring friends along who are not part of the site as well.
at this time, we have a reservation for 65+.... so soon as you decide you are able to attend, just click that lil old button to let us know.
as BLONDIE said in an earlier post, if you are unsure, or on the shy side, contact one of the hosts, we are always happy to make all our fellow fish feel welcome!

Posted: 11/20/2007 7:42:17 AM | | say shadow please dont take this wrong as i know its fun sometimes to have a bit of compitition and joke around a bit however i believe perhaps some in saskatoon may be offended,as these get togethers shouldnt be about what city has the largest # attending,i know i take great risk in speaking out however i do know you and i know you meant no harm as you enjoy kidding around,but since some dont know you they may get the wrong idea and be a bit pissed off which wouldnt be right either,so in the interest of peace and understanding i wrote this .to whom it may concern.feelings are important,yours, theirs and mine so play nice kidds as sometimes feelings get hurt by accident,and sure hope i didnt hurt any by speaking out,and if i did suck it up .lol | |

so there are a few things that were brought to the hosts attentions, such as the speakers on the dance floor... as well as the karaoke host having his faves for singing, and leaving out many people.
i just got off the phone with the owner of the Crown, and he said that the dance floor music is already fixed, AND he will ensure that the POF group actually gets priority when it comes to the karaoke. i had only asked for fairness... but the owner said that he really appreciates our business and due to the fact that we bring in so many people at least once a month, he wants to make us happy.
he also appologizes for the recruits... as they normally only come in there on fridays.
sooooooo... there is the update.
HELLLLLLLLLLLL YEAHHHHHHH!
lets make this meet and greet all about insane fun!

now i know a lot of our fellow fish may possibly be a lil nervous, or shy, or...dare i say it? FRIGHTENED.... to meet someone from a dating site. no worries when it comes to a meet and greet! there are so many people that attend, no one needs to share any personal info if they choose not to, its a very safe environment, AND you get to meet not only one person but a whole bunch!
there are so many positives about going to an event like this...cant hardly list them all here.
for a lot of us, it has really become a staple in our social lives, a big outing with familiar faces, and lots of new ones. you can talk with whom you choose, and if someone else catches your eye... you can go talk with them too.
there arent any rules to follow other than, be courtious, and have a HELL OF A LOT OF FUN!
of course, there will be pictures of the event, as usual, so stay tuned for that.
i KNOW that those who come out with even a little bit of a positive attitude...will have a nice evening.
i know i have read in some forums that there are cliques and such when meets are held, but i think with so many regular attendees we have really seen that sort of thing melt away, and become more inviting.
as posted previously, if you have any trepidation about attending, please do not hesitate to contact one of the hosts, OR even another fellow fish for a little encouragement. we are all in this together, something has brought all of us here to PLENTY OF FISH... make the most of it!

Congrats to the hostess and hoster well done in bringing many more new fishes. Looking at the list there are few new newbies going for a few laughs and chuckles. The important is that everyone have fun and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of the establishment. This is going to be a first where I don't hog the pictures. In viewing the events I have been in alot of them. Enjoy and Merry Christmas.
